Don't ask for an invoice -- they will snap at you: "it's not policy". I told them clearly that I wanted my boiler fluid topped up. The guy showed up without any of the necessary tools to do so. Looked the system over. Left for a half an hour to get tools. Came back. Realized he forgot the hose to do the fill up. Left for half an hour. Then left for an hour and a half to run back to their shop to grab yet another item. I was billed for the whole day when the actual work took less than an hour! I asked for an invoice before they billed my card. They complained but said they would provide one. Talk is cheap. Big charge for little work with out even being able to look over the invoice.

UPDATE: It has been over a week since I called CM and requested a quote for parts. While I was waiting for them, I found and ordered the parts I needed online; they just arrived. And I still have not received any communications from Central Mechanical, I wish I had gotten the gentleman's name when I called. I try to buy local as much as I can, but in this case DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with Central Mechanical. Debbie must know someone to get great service, or I was specifically targeted and not helped on purpose because I called them out on the terrible receptionist and her attitude towards me last time I tried to use this terrible company. The receptionist is just that, someone to answer phones and not much else. Called trying to get a status update on my service, the delay, expected date of a service call, and she could not provide me with any information at all. Told me she she only answers the phone and then transfers me to a voicemail and I never got a call back. I want to purchase parts locally but it takes forever to get a quote. Ordering online was so much easier.

Not a company that will stand behind their work, their service or go out of their way. Technicians left a mess on the floor after a heater install including a used Tim Horton's coffee cup. Poor work required them to come back and fix properly. Do not recommend this company.

These guys were lazy and unprofessional, left my house in a mess and after installing my hot water tank forgot to reinstall the emergency drainage which I have now called them three times to come back and fix they told me they would still no-show save yourself the time and the grief do not use these guys.

They have serviced my oil fired furnace and water heater for years and always had good service. In October 2019 I had an after hours call out to one of their technicians (Jordan) regarding problem with water heater. Service was prompt and professional, problem solved and also received a call the next day to ensure the malfunction had not re-occurred.

Terrible customer service, still waiting on a call back for a quote. The last time I dealt with them I never got an invoice. When I called and asked about it, because I wanted to know how much I was being gouged before actually paying, the receptionist couldn't help me. She told me I could find out by checking my credit card statement. My tenant told me they left a big mess behind whenever they came to work on the pellet stove and were quite rude to her. She didn't like having them in her home.
