We heard about Shack Shine from a friend in our neighborhood when I complimented them on their beautiful Christmas lights. Our initial call to Shack Shine was just to get a quote to put up our Christmas lights but we were so impressed with the promptness, professionalism, and integrity of Cam and the Shine Shack staff, we, too, used them for our Christmas lights and will be using them for window cleaning in the spring as well. In the past, the exterior home maintenance people we've hired have tended to be a bit scruffy and didn't seem all that trustworthy. Not so with Shack Shine. I was extremely impressed with their service - from initial phone call, to quote, to the actual service. All their employees were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Very unresponsive thus unreliable. I already gave my pressure washing to another local business. I had to follow up with them 5 times to confirm gutter cleaning was booked before the freeze and they still haven’t confirmed it so I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. I suggest finding a more reliable option.

This past summer I was employed by Shack Shine, and was a member of the team operating here on the North Shore. Thinking that I was signing myself up for a casual Summer Job was a complete misunderstanding. My employers; Mark Webb and Cam Read put me through a rigorous training program where I was watched closely for an entire month, until I had a firm grip on the fundamentals of operating as a Shack Shine technician. A big shout out to Cam Read and his North Vancouver team, thanks for another job well done!! I switched to Shack Shine a couple of years ago after about 6 years with another home services company. I was not unhappy with who was previously providing the spring cleanup services to our small 6 unit townhouse development, but on a whim asked Cam for a quote. He came out on time to the appointment for the quote which does not always happen in the home services business. His quote was more than competitive and so I thought I would take a chance and move to Shack Shine. I wasn’t disappointed then and three years later I am still very happy. We have the guys do the roof for moss, the facias for green mould, clean-out the eaves, clean the external windows and power wash our retaining walls, driveways, steps and sidewalks. Three guys worked very hard and everything was done in one day and done well. There is no question I will be getting them back for next year.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Shack Shine! Cameron and Gareth showed up on time, with all necessary equipment, and were friendly and professional. They washed every single window, including hard-to-reach skylights, and when they were done, everything was truly shiny! When they showed me their handiwork at the end of the job, they were still wiping out a few tiny streaks that only their trained eyes could see, and left the place looking spotless.
