Okay... here we go. I am usually very reasonable when I hire a service. I am not the type of customer that will complain for a tiny insignificant thing just to take any advantage. I know those kind of people. The problem is... I paid almost $600 for exterior WINDOW cleaning and gutters. And NONE of those 2 services were done properly. It was the worse $600 spent. The first person who came to my house to do the service arrived pretty late in the day... I thought they had forgotten about me. Clearly a lack of a well planned schedule by whoever schedules that for them. Second of all, when I pay for a WINDOW cleaning, I don't expect the service to be limited to GLASS only. The service was done glass only, poorly cleaned. I could totally do that myself. I still see dripping marks on a few windows from the soap and dirty water and all the frames were left as is. The means moss everywhere on the skylight frame and lots of thick dust on a few glass doors from a reno that we had this past winter. The gutters were still pretty dirty too. I wasn't going to complain when I saw the marks on the glass and the moss, but when I saw the dirty gutters, that really made me upset. They sent someone else to fix the problem, and guess what? I did not any change on the moss and the person left without even checking with me the issue was addressed. I haven't checked the gutters yet, but we didn't hear any activity on the roof. He told me he would check the entire roof. Anyways, so after this second time, I emailed the office expressing my disappointment with the service and never got a reply back to apologize. Go check YELP and you will see the truth about this company.

Just spoke to Kim the manager. I was supposed to have a down pipe reattached. I spoke to the sales person 8 days ago and he said a repair van would come out with the next few days for $175. No one came out, when I called today I wasn't even entered in their system. No apology was given, and they offered me a $25 discount for the mistake. I wouldn't recommend them.

DO NOT GO NEAR THESE COWBOYS! Troy Thompson from North Shore Home Services Ltd will rip you off, hire unskilled workmen, cause more damage than good and then threaten you with legal action if you do not pay. We had asked North Shore Home Services to redo our siding in August 2017, after 8 weeks of very little work and what work had been done was poor at best. We finally spoke with the workmen onsite and it turns out Troy had hired them off Craigslist and they had never worked with siding or Hardie Plank before. Even admitted that they were making it up as they went along. Troy had no interest in justifying his actions or trying to resolve the problem, instead said we were “irritating” and “micromanaging” his work. If anyone has experienced this with North Shore Home Services and Troy, I’d love to hear from you.

There were a small issues for one of the downpipes, they came back the next day and changed a new one for me after I called them. We're extremely unsatisfied with the service, they gave us an estimate for 1-2 hours but ended up charging our credit card for 3 hours which was absolutely and 100% inaccurate since we closely watched the time the technician spent on our roof for moss cleaning. They charged us without sending us an invoice and 10 follow up emails and phone calls later they hesitantly emailed the invoice to us. After 3 weeks of calling the company and not being able to get a hold of their customer service, the customer service rep promised to follow up on the issue with the technician and send us a note which she obviously didn't care to do. This was the worst $800 spent. I should have read their YELP reviews before requesting their service. Will never go back to them again.

Never Trust this company. Take my word I paid almost $400 to them in Aug 2015 they claimed they did complete cleaning of all gutter system and downpipes while I was not present. A few days later it was rainy and I saw overflow and I called again. Same cleaner showed up and said issue is related to my gutters because they have negative slope!! I went up myself and I could not believe what I saw. They did not even touch one gutters they did Absolutely nothing I have all videos, pictures and proof I love to show them to all north shore residence. I did clean up my gutters myself with my tools having same cleaner as helper. I called manager and owner many times and I got no respond. I live on Lions ave in North Vancouver for 10 years.

Great company. We decided to bring on North Shore Home Services Ltd. to take care of our gutter cleaning, repairs and window washing for our 21 unit self-managed townhouse strata complex. I was impressed all the way through, starting with the outstanding customer service I received from Matheus at their main office, all the way through to the technicians that completed the work. The owner/general manager even made a point of coming down to our site to ensure our estimates were solid since we were having so much work done all at once. They all went beyond the call of duty for us. All of the technicians that were sent out were very skilled and knowledgeable had many years of experience under their belts. Do not use this company! Worst service ever! They said they were coming on a Monday and didn’t show up and then said they were coming on Thursday and didn’t show up! I asked for the owner because I had already planned to stay home for 2 days and moved all my furniture and plants away from the windows twice, so.by this time I was furious. The owner or manager did call me back and told me that my window cleaner was no longer working for them and that he would get back to me before the end of the day. Of course, that never happened. Horrible, disappointing, unprofessional service!

My wife and I contracted North Shore Home Services to install gutter guards and clean out boxes on the downspouts last year. We specifically ordered Alurex brand guards after doing our research and realizing that Alurex is a great brand. However, North Shore Home Services Ltd., installed the wrong material, and instead installed a cheap inferior product. I reached out to North Shore Home Services 4 times without a response, so I then contacted the manufacturer Alurex directly, who then confirmed that the product that was installed was not Alurex. On my 5th email to North Shore Home Services, Earl Troy Thompson, the owner, tried to tell me this was a communication error and that it was my fault. However, I had the email thread with an employee which clearly indicated what we ordered, and as well I had an invoice from a second separate employee, that was for Alurex brand gutter protectors, and charged/paid in full. In addition to installing the wrong type of gutter guards, we had 4 down-spout clean out boxes installed. The quality of the work was terrible. The boxes were spray-painted to match what we'd ordered (a sage green colour), however the painting was so poor that the dark-brown base colour was clearly visible. Additionally, they installed 2 different types of boxes on our house, so they aren't even uniform. We also had agreed (in writing, and as per the purchase order) to have these installed between 3-4 feet high. We live in an area which gets a lot of snow, so it's important for these to be off the ground. They were installed at all different heights below 3 feet and just above the ground level, and not one of them was installed at the agreed upon height, and again not uniform. The installers left jagged sharp metal on the down-spouts which is really quite dangerous for small children or pets playing in our yard. The clean-out boxes now get covered in snow and damaged by shovels during the winter. One of the boxes was installed too close to the down-spout mounting bracket and doesn't even open as a result. Troy Thompson refused to take responsibility for this error, despite his employee admitting to me that he'd made the mistake, and instead offered us an insultingly low refund. Troy was also incredibly unprofessional over the phone and email, very hostile and rude as well. We did not accept the refund and instead took North Shore Home Services to the Civil Resolution Tribunal, where we won our case and North Shore Home Services was ordered to pay us. Since our court ordered decision, Troy Thompson has refused to pay us. As such, we have now had to involve local Sheriffs to pursue matters further. North Shore Home Services boasts on social media and their website that they have an A+ rating on the BBB website, despite not even being an accredited company, however this is an outright lie as they are a C- rating at the time of this review being filed. Working with this company, and Troy Thompson, has been a nightmare and we still have not received any of the refund that was originally offered by Troy, or any of the money awarded to us by the Civil Resolution Tribunal. I would recommend that anyone considering hiring this company read the many negative reviews before making a decision. This has been a terrible experience. I will say though that the folks at Alurex have been incredibly helpful, and in no way should this reflect poorly on them.

Darn... wish I had read the reviews first..... this company is absolutely dreadful to deal with. Called them to arrange for my gutters and shake roofs to be cleaned. The people they commissioned to do the job put the 4 years of old branches and crap off the roof straight into my landscaping and flower beds! The front entry and all windows were covered in mud. Spent 6 hours in the garden and 2 hours power washing to clean up afterwards. I called them and they said if I had wanted them to clean up, I would have had to pay extra but wasn't even given that option in the first place. I would NEVER have engaged this company if they had asked that question because for me, that goes without question?!

Part of my aluminum roof was impossibly high, and had never been cleaned in 13 years because I couldn't do it myself nor could I find anyone on the Sunshine Coast to do it. So North Shore Home Services came over and did a fabulous job -- the roof is now pristine. I had very courteous service and was always kept in the know about dates and times, plus the workman sent photos (before and after) as the job was progressing, because I was not present. AWFUL experience and service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. employee arrived to my house and ask for a ladder...You think window cleaning company would have their own...! Then he told me he never seen windows screens like mine and wants inside house access to remove them. When I return from work, all the screens have been placed on the floor and not reinstalled! I phoned the company and ask them to finish the work and was told it will be done in 2-3 weeks because no trucks are available to drive to my place The only option they offered was for me to contact a local company to finish THEIR job and pay for it!

I do not recommend this company. My experience with North Shore Home Services was awful; customer service is not their forte. We found this company online and booked them to clean our gutters. They took my information including credit card information to book an appointment, but I still had to follow up with them to determine the actual date of the appointment, since no one called me back. Then when it came to completing the work, they had to return multiple times to complete the project, and yet the work was still not 100% satisfactory, but we chose to accept it and move on. I then received threatening emails from the owner that he would put a lien on my property, even though they had all of my information prior to completing the work, I was not aware they had any difficulty collecting payment nor had an intention of not paying. His approach was very unprofessional and threatening.

Their quote was for X number of windows. When he arrived he did not have the equipment necessary to do anything on the second floor exterior and borrowed our ladders. The job he was doing was obviously less than their quote called for -- just cold water and a squeegee. We decided not to have him do the lower floor. The chap said that was good because he had another job to go to and wasn't going to be able to finish ours that day anyway. The company had required a Visa card in advance and, although we complained about the quality and incompleteness of the job the charge was processed and subsequent calls were never returned.

I would like to write a fair review for this company however I didn't even get a chance to see the quality of work they provided. I was given a quote over the phone and a time frame for them to come and do the work. A week went by and they never showed up. I followed up by phone but they never returned my call. I suppose they don't want or need the business. Don't waste your time with this company. Call a more responsible and reliable company that will actually show up and do the work for you.

Roof cleaning, gutter repair, and other roofline repairs and maintenance have all been done promptly, quickly and carefully. It was worth it to search for this company and this result, as we have been treated poorly by other more local companies. Prices are reasonable despite the extra travel they do to get here. Invoices and responses to requests are always reliable.

First time using this company to clean exterior windows. Person showed up on time and was courteous and pleasant. Job was done efficiently and as per estimate. Will use again. Update Mar 2021. Used this company again for powerwashing and windowcleaning. The work was done promptly, on time and according to estimate. Would definitely reccommend.

It seems like I am among many people who they stood up and never showed up after giving me a quote and a rough timeline. Perhaps it was because the work needed was not worth their time but either way it is most imperative for a company to be honest and keep the communications open with their customers. I tried to get hold of them but only thing I was told by the 3rd party phone service provider that they use is that they don't work for this company directly and only thing they can do is just forward them a message to call you but of course they never did. multiple emails go unanswered as well. STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND HASSLE BY GOING ANYWHERE ELSE BUT WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Stay far away!!!! Had these guys out last year to clean gutters and fix two leaks. The guy showed up late, did a half ass job leaving the gutters full of debris and sludge. To make it worse the slime and rotten leaves that he did pull out he left on the grass, driveway and patio. It smelled like a sewer plant after he was done. Oh and he used our hose to apparently "flush" the gutters (even though it says they bring all their own equipment) then left it thrown on the grass across the yard and broke the sprayer on the end. It gets better...buddy told me that the one leak actually wasn't a leak and would now be fine. The next time it rained it leaked! The second leak that he "sealed" dripped just as bad as it had before he slathered it recklessly with caulking. After I complained and sent pics a Cory offered me a rebate, only to be told by someone else that Cory doesn't have that power. Eventually the owner came out, looked at the leaks and determined that we needed all new gutters (on a 9 year old house) and that he could have it done the next week. Take a hike! To top it all off cory just randomly phoned at 8am to schedule our yearly maintenance appointment. He's got balls, I'll give him that. Thanks for the reminder of our horrible experience and prompting me to write this review. These guys are a joke. They will send any flunky they can hire to do your job, they have no professionalism when dealing with them, then they try to blame you for your situation and up sell you.

Philippe did an excellent job for us in August 2021. We needed all exterior windows washed (many small panes), gutters cleaned and all the white house trim washed on 2 1/2 stories. He was on time, conscientious, pleasant and with a great work ethic. When it was pointed out that he had missed a part of the job, he properly called to his office, and then proceeded to finish the work. I would definitely use North Shore Home Services again.

From start to finish this company did everything to ensure my experience was positive. I phoned for an estimate and was not only supplied with the estimate but with an explanation of the material, warranty and workmanship they provided. Followup phone calls to ensure I had enough information to make my decision. I ultimately chose North Shore because of the extra mile Ashleigh was willing to go to assist. Ryan arrived on the day the work was scheduled and stayed until very late to get it completed. Ryan's workmanship is great. The gutters and siren pipes look good. He left the yard clean. This is huge because every other contractor I have had has left some kind of garbage - personal or Work related. I am very pleased with this company!

I had originally called in for gutter cleaning and for 3 corners to be sealed. They quoted me $250 - $300 depending on the time it would take. Scheduled for 9am, I waited until 3 pm because they were told to go to another job first. When they finally showed up, but they were not prepared to seal the gutters as it was not in the work order. I was told they would come back in the next few days to finish the job, but have yet to return. They charged my credit card $310 without sealing the corners, and have no intention of returning as the owner Troy will not return my phone calls. I was told last time I talked to him that it would be another $225 if I wanted the job completed. Do not use these scam artists for anything, you will regret it.

The two gentlemen from North Shore Home Services performed several tasks at my home: power washing cement sidewalks, rock walls, and cement walls in addition to moss removal from the roof of my home and blowing debris from the roof of the garage and house (followed by the washing of the metal shingles of both roofs), cleaning and washing a brick patio and skylight washing. It is obvious that they like the type of work that they do because of the great pride that they take in performing the tasks. Their follow-up clearing away of the moss and the debris was further evidence of the very efficient job that they do.

They were contacted to provide gutter cleaning services the job was not done but we paid for the service when we called them to come back and clean the gutter as paid for on 2 occasions they no showed when they said a technician would be onsite. In March 2020, we used North Shore Home Services to repair two gutter leaks at our Surrey home. Service Tech Spencer did a great job stopping both leaks. Spencer said the trick to doing gutter leak repairs is to first remove all the old caulking. So Spencer was successful at stopping these leaks where two other gutter companies failed. I would recommend them to family and friends. PS: Spencer was able to do our repairs even though there was a light rain mist at the time. WOW!!

Called to have some immediate work done on our gutters. Cory said he could not attend our residence until Wednesday of next week. I assumed that we had an appointment. On the following Wednesday I called and asked when they were attending - he replied we did not make an appointment and that if I wanted to make one it would be for the following week. While attempting to make that appointment he indicated he did not want our business. As a result I was left without any service. I will never call this company again. Corey I have reviewed your post and you say that I was abusive, with respect I disagree. I was certainly surprised when you told me there was no appointment today as that was not the impression I was left with. I need the work done and you refused for your own reasons. Your attempt to colour the conversation is unsavory. For customer service I would give you a negative rating if that was an option.

I don't think this company even rates any stars. I came home to a note on my door explaining that they had ripped off my gutters by mistake. They were suppose to do the neighbors. When I talked to the owner he explained that he could not match up to what I had so they would be different. When I told him I wanted them all the same, He said, and I quote, "Listen here lady if you think I am going to put all new gutters around your house youve got another thing coming". I agreed to have them put the different ones on and 2 months went by. Twice they made appointments to do it and never showed. I found the company that could match them and I had them install the proper ones. A week later they show up to do the gutters, no phone call or advance warning. I sent North shore home services an email saying I would like to be reimbursed the $650 it cost me to have it done right and I never heard back from them.

Paid for new gutters, two years later they are leaking - being trying to get them fixed since August 2013, even sent them a video of them leaking, reported them to BBB etc - will now have to pay someone to come and fix the leaking corners when the work is under guarantee. After service is very poor, and i would not recommend this company...

Not a great experience with NSHS. Paid $1200 to have moss removed from the roof and the gutters cleaned (modest sized house) at the end of September. Since then gutters have been completely non functional and overflowing. They claimed to have come back on Dec 18 ("for free") and fixed it but still completely plugged. Now looking to get someone else in to finish the job.

Pursuant to an ad published a business to business exchange we belong to, we enquired as to having our roof line "leaf guard" type gutters checked for debris, and our upper pool glass shutter type windows cleaned. North Shore Home Services contacted us almost immediately, and set up a time schedule plus an estimate of the maximum cost. Their cheerful young technician turned up as scheduled on a stormy morning. Our confidence was enhanced by his attractive, well equipped truck He said, no problem, he would remove the covers of our gutters and check for accumulated debris. An hour or so later he gave us an update that they were OK, and that the most recently installed gutters were one piece with no removable covers. He then cleaned the eight glass shutters about 20' above our indoor pool. With his equipment he was able to do a better job than I have ever done. We were certainly impressed by the efficient, friendly service we received. We would not hesitate to recommend their services to our friends and family. Coquitlam, BC
