I used Molly Maid Services several years ago and was very satisfied with their professionalism, quality cleaning and most of all, friendly customer service. After struggling to find reliable and professional cleaning services for the last couple of years, I decided to return to Molly Maid. I called the North Shore office whom I still had an account with, and inquired about availability and pricing, and then made arrangements for a one hour standard cleaning service. I was asked to provide my credit card which would be charged the 1 hour fee ($150 + tax), two business days prior to my cleaning date, and I happily provided the details. Two cleaners arrived at my home 15 mins late and apologized for the delay, saying they were eating lunch in their car. They were specifically given a list of what to clean and to stop when the hour was up, and they said it wouldn't be a problem to complete the basic list provided to them within the hour. They cleaned for an additional 15 mins and left my home promptly after 1.15 hours. The same day, my credit card was charged an additional $118.13 and when I called Molly Maid and spoke to the same gentleman who activated my account, he claimed it was for the additional 45 mins it took the cleaners to clean my home. I explained that this was not the case and they were there for only 15 extra mins, but he claimed all cars have trackers and this service tracked the cleaners car being at my home for 1 hour/45 mins. The gentleman was rude and unresponsive to my rationale and blamed me for getting the cleaning done but not willing to pay for it. He refused to believe that the cleaners ate their lunch in their car while on the clock for my cleaning service, and that they left after an extra 15 and not 45 mins over the hour, and he also refused to provide any explanation or compensation for overcharging me without my consent. I have never been so disappointed or deceived by a company who claims to be professional, yet without the courtesy or professionalism it once did. Please beware before booking any services with this company, and ensure you have a written contract before signing anything. Also, insist on written confirmation on the exact amount that you will be charged for each hour and every additional minute beyond. AND, please check your credit card for charges you may not have authorized. I basically paid $276 for a cleaning service that I did not authorize. Beyond disappointed, manipulated and bullied.

Molly maid was recommended to me by a friend, I read the reviews and decided to call. I got a last minute move out clean which was nice they could accommodate on short notice but the clean wasn’t great. The floor looked worst after they left and they skipped details listed on the website. I went through and cleaned it again myself. There was no effort put into the clean. I have a problem with how much paid given I had to clean it myself anyway but I would have had no problem paying more if they had taken their time, and did the service I asked for. Nor were they friendly, no hello, no smile. Just “what are we here for”
