Andrew came out same-day, without any additional emergency or weekend charges! Prices are competitive/fair, and Andrew was incredibly responsive and thorough. Would happily recommend!

So let's start with the backstory: My HVAC unit isn't blowing any cold air out, I set it to an obvious low temperature, and nothing happens. Being fairly technical myself, I power cycle the unit to see if that resolves the issue. It worked...but for about 5 minutes before some LEDs light up indicating the potential issue. After tinkering with it for a bit, I felt like this issue was beyond me. Living in an apartment building, I messaged my strata about the issue and asked for their recommended HVAC repair person. The company never contacted me. And with the weather being especially hot recently, I decided to just reach out and find someone on my own. I messaged GreenTech as their reviews seemed positive on both Google and Yelp, and didn't looked fabricated or created by bot programs. Within the hour, Andrew contacted me and arranged to come the next day. So the next day arrived, and he was detailed with the error messages and my speculations, and he set off to work. He expected it to be leaking refrigerant which was causing the low pressure issues in the system. However, after investigation and ruling out that issue, he figured out that the issue was a faulty TXV (thermo expansion valve). Since it was a specialized part that needed to be ordered, he arranged to order it and come back for installation. At this point, I paid him $300 dollars for diagnosis ($50 for initial fee and $250 for 2.5 hours of service). A day later, he sent me the quote of ~$980 dollars for the purchase and installation of the TXV and I agreed. We arranged for Friday installation. Friday comes, and he arrives at 3pm to start the installation. While I have no clue what he actually did (since I have no knowledge in this area), I saw that he tinkered with a bunch of pipes and valves, cutting / welding some things and eventually installed the valve. The process was much longer than expected, he was here until 2am in the morning. He was fairly puzzled as the configuration at that point seemed correct and he spent a bit more time figuring out why. Turns out, he accidentally burnt some wires responsible for sending the signals to presumably what controls the AC. Being here for already 10 to 11 hours, he arranged to come back on Sunday to resume the work. At this point, he did not take any payment. Sunday arrives, and he again starts work on fixing the issue. He showed me the wires he accidentally burnt and after 6 hours of work, the AC is functional and I finally have cold air again! (Finally, no melting while working from home). Overall, Andrew did an exceptional job. Despite the hiccup, he demonstrated his responsibility to the job and reliably amended any mistakes and ensured the customer received what they were quoted for. Furthermore, I only paid for the $980 that I was initially quoted for. Usually, I find contractors and handymen to be a bit skeptical since I have felt scammed by people who overstate their skillsets and aren't able to deliver. However, Andrew demonstrated his knowledge of his trade and was able to deliver what he promised. He is deserving of this 5 star review and I would recommend him. Thank you again Andrew!

I do not often take the time to write a review but my experience with GreenTech was exceptional. They are worthy of your business and you would be making a mistake if you did I not consider them for your HVAC needs. Simply stated, the were responsive, respectful and resolved my havoc failure which quickly and reasonably. They were at my office within hours of my online contact, had the replacement equipment within 24 hours and installed the next day. They encountered some snags on the replacement of my equipment, Not due their capabilities but rather the previous installer. Which brings me to those guys...whom I had called first and were slow to respond then finally show up to inspect a failure of the equipment they installed and apparently maintained. They were poor communicators and at one point disappeared for weeks while we waited for a resolution. We contacted another well known supplier who quoted us an absurd amount before correcting it when we questioned its accuracy. ...Now considering the snags and the delays that the previous equipment supplier created, I expected that the quote for my work may be revised. They spent an additional 6 hours on my job... not one complaint, not one suggestion of additional payment. So, don't make my mistake and call them third... they should be your first choice. FYI, left my space cleaner than they found it. Hire these guys.

We decided to add a UV light air purifier to our business for extra health safety measures for our staff and customers. With these crazy times we are living in either products are sold out or not in stock. Riley found the only unit available and drove all the way out to Coquitlam and secured it for us. With everyone scrambling to reopen their businesses, Riley took the time picked up the unit return to our business and installed the same day also coming back the next day and cleaned our AC unit. That’s when I turned to craigslist and I contacted Riley and Andrew, within 2 hours of me contacting them they arrived in a nice sprinter van and gave me a much better deal than the original company so I didn’t even feel to negotiate at that price.
