My husband and I wanted to get our house cleaned to start fresh for the summer. On July 14th Merry Maids came to our house and I should have known it was going to be trouble from the start. The two ladies who showed up, had no ID to prove who they worked for, no uniforms nor anything else that any respectable cleaning company would provide its workers. Nor was the person that I booked the appointment with, Annie, there either. It gets worse, we fully expected them to be all covered up and wearing PPE since we were having strangers in our house for a few hours and our concerned about our health due to recent events going on in the world. We checked their website and it assured us that they would be wearing masks and gloves etc. Only one lady had a mask on, the other never put it on. Neither of them were wearing gloves and to top it all off, they were both sneezing and clearly sick and shouldn't have been working in peoples homes in those conditions. My daughter (5) and I were the ones home at the time and felt uneasy about them being there from the start. My husband and 3 year old son would come home later as they were wrapping up. Not only did they miss some spots that we asked them to clean, they left the house without even letting us know. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. A few days later my daughter started getting sick and then I got sick. We hadn't left the house since the cleaners were there so we figured we had just caught whatever bugs they brought into the house with them. My sickness was getting worse and then my son got really sick and we took him to the hospital. This is when we found out that we had caught the one thing we really hoped we were going to be able to avoid over the last year or so. Yup you guessed it. We all got it and my husband also ended up on the hospital for a bit as well cause of Merry Maids. I normally don't write reviews but this goes against everything on their website about taking precautions and protecting the public health. Now that I have dealt with this first hand, I really don't want any other family to go through this.

Very upset with the service I got from Merry Maids. At first they were very pleasant to deal with and offered the service I needed quickly. I had a conversation with them on the phone and said that I was already moved out and that I would not be back for a week after the move out. They were fine with that and let themselves in to do the job. A week later when I returned I saw the floor was still an awful mess, a few corners of the floor was still pretty bad from the movers shoes etc. Window sills had not been cleaned nor had behind appliances. My phone call with them before the start of the clean they said that this would all be done. When I showed them photos of the job they said that it was a week or so after they had cleaned and we made the mess again. That they have the best cleaners. They also said that large items were left behind and therefore they could not clean the floor. I had 99.9% moved already so nothing was left behind. As mentioned to them on the phone that no one would be there for a week and Im not quite sure how even if someone lived there for a week how the window sills would be that bad and behind the fridge would be dirty and dusty. I ended up losing $420 of my deposit as our past landlords hard to hire another company to come in and do the cleaning. They only offered us 20% off to do it all over again. Im very upset with the way they handled this - I told them on the phone that I didnt care how many hours it took it just needed to be done properly and they ensured it would. I do not recommend this company!

My experience with Merry Maids in New Westminster was amazing. The office was able to accommodate a last minute booking for me with no hassle The cleaners arrived exactly on schedule as promised The cleaners were friendly, professional, personable, and attentive to my instructions The cleaning was extremely thorough through my entire home The cleaners were hard-working and efficient with their time I was able to be home to monitor the work, but based on the my interaction with the two cleaners assigned to do the work, I do not feel their time or work effort would have changed had I been elsewhere. My expectations were fully met and I would absolutely recommend and use this service again. Thanks!

Two fantastic and friendly cleaners came and did my entire 1000sqft condo in about two hours. I was very impressed with how quickly and efficiently they worked as a team. Super friendly to my cats, which would of gotten a 4 star rating on it's own ???? A little expensive but I would hire them again

No good. They did NOT clean my house fully because I could see dust everywhere and could tell they did not dust.

Very disappointed in this service. Paid $375 for a deep clean service and it was anything but. They “forgot” to clean my children’s toilet and did not rinse the cleaning agent off the tub. I hired them to clean specific things that I can’t do due to disability (mouldings on door frames) and they ignored this and cleaned per their checklist. And I didn’t think I’d have to inspect everything since there were 2 of them -they should have cross checked each other’s work but obviously can’t follow their own checklist as major things weee to missed. Will not be hiring them again or recommending them! Will stick to cleaners who can follow instructions!

My wife and myself ordered Merry Maids to come clean our house and got sick instead! One of the ladies who came, the slightly bigger one, was clearly sick. Sweating, sneezing and coughing, she was wearing a mask thank god, but now all 4 of us have TESTED POSITIVE FOR you know what! The fact this lady was still working in the condition she was shows a complete lack of self awareness and concern for other people's health. This is completely unacceptable!!!! EDIT: As per their website under health and safety protocols they should be wearing PPE, only one lady was wearing mask the whole time. The red hair girl entered the house, cleaned and left the house WITHOUT ever wearing a mask! DO NOT HIRE THEM

Very poor experience. I do NOT RECOMMEND the use of this service at all. They where not only 1 hour late, they also struggle communicating and could not find anywhere to park even after I walked them to more than 3 public parking areas. Look for someone else.

Love it! I can say that customer satisfaction is this what these guys aim for with every visit. Im happy with the service and I would like to pass on the good word. My apartment is pretty rough to clean with all my pets but the team doesn't mind at all and is very versatile in their work. Thank You!
