Don't know why I tried again, I knew it wouldn't go well. The last 4-5 times were the same. I won't be wasting my time again. Just because I can walk there from home doesn't mean I should deal with terrible customer service. Instead, I'll go to home depot, uptown.

I'd give 5 stars but I'm followed around everytime I go there and I always go for the same thing they know I don't need any help and I see lots of other people not being followed that probably do need help other than being made to feel like you've done something wrong it's a fine place but your appearance really seems to matter

I like to shop at locally owned businesses when possible. Simms is not in the business of customer service based on my experience on July 17, 2020. The project desk lady discouraged me from getting a quote on lumber for a project scheduled for September. I told her it was merely a quote. She told me there would likely be a price increase by then. I said that's okay....I just wanted a quote. She was still resistant....I walked away. I proceeded to the checkout to pay for my two items. The cashier was cold as ice with no eye contact and no thank you. Bad day for both or just apathetic? Who cares? I won't be back.

A shop where you can find a little bit of everything. While not as large as the uptown hardware stores, this one reminds me of the shops back in Asia where you could find any but or bolt you needed, except this place was much cleaner. I was just there for a new fuse, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. I got in and out quickly which was great because I was in a bit of a rush.

I've been a customer of this location on King St. for years. I always find the service to be exceptional, either on the phone or in person. Most of the staff has been there for years and are very knowledgeable on DIY project, as we all like to save a little money. As well I can never think of a time that they did not have in stock an item I was looking for! Highly recommend this Home Hardware!!!

I've shopped home hardware for years buying cleaning product for my business. My last purchase of a large jug of windex had a weak seam and a small crack formed leaking 90% of the product on the floor of my trunk. H.H. would not replace the jug of product. I'm not a very happy customer today.

Knowledgeable staff. This wk when I asked for something, the first worker didn't know where it was so she asked another worker. Instead of walking away and letting the second worker help me, the lady came along so she could see where the item was as well. This is good customer service.

Found exactly what we were looking for as soon as we walked in the door (Spin Mop) and the young man at the cash was very pleasant. This location is a lot smaller than other Home Hardware's I've been to but it looked like they had everything that other stores do.

I find the overall staff very helpful, knowledgeable and kind in all departments however I would recommend going elsewhere for interior paint. I originally purchased paint I got tinted ivory for my trim and doors, when I got it home the paint was as stark white as my primer, I went back in to get it retinted I ended up with a pint of light yellow paint I have no use for.

Excellent service. I don't think you would find better service at a home improvement store. Staff is knowledgeable in most departments. The store is new with a good amount of parking for the size of store. Very convenient in the downtown core. The selection is not the best but they do have some exclusive products. The paint department is excellent. They will get you exactly what you need and won't try to upsell.

Great location. Easily accessible to anyone downtown, and really anyone with a car. The first few times I visited I was surprised there was not an entrance onto the street. Now I am used to going around the side/back to go into the store. The entrance is accessible, and the store is on a single floor. The store has bicycle parking. It is hidden away from the road between a shed and the building and is a bit awkward to get into when motor vehicles are present. There is no curb cut or ramp for your bike to access the parking and it is not protected from the weather. Also, be prepared to have to cross the street for any bulkier items like lumber or masonry, or even wood pellets. The two step process can be a bit of a pain when you have to lock up your vehicle only to unlock and start up again. Other than the missing door and two step dance I have never had a negative experience here. They have any hardware you could ever dream of and are always happy to help.
