This is my favorite pet store in New Brunswick. Friendly staff, love dogs, love my dog, and I love bringing them in there. I brought them in the other night close to closing time, and they were sure to accommodate even though it was just about 9:00 p.m.

I had an awesome first visit to PetSmart. We are getting a puppy, and a first time owner of a dog. I was looking for advice and recommendations to buy supplies. I was very happy with the advice and recommendations I got. Jody was patient and knew my time was important, so we got to the basics he showed me where everything was located and showed me reasonably priced items, that were good for our dog. I made a couple of trips back and in the midst of him running for another client, he noticed my son and I. He asked what we were getting and the items we had in our hand, he said were great items, he had the same items for his dog. I like being recognized, so he got brownie points with me. Lol

I have never dealt with such bad service in a pet store in my entire life. I have two bearded dragons, and I go to Pet Smart every Friday to get 10 Horn worms at 1.50 a piece for my lizards. I went in this past Friday to get some Horn worms and the ones they had were sickly and a quarter of the size, yet there was still a price of 1.50 on these worms. I asked the girl why they were still 1.50 and she snarled at me in a very unacceptable tone " Well ...we cannot lower the price!!!" Well, all I will say is that if I went to McDonalds and I ordered a hamburger, yet someone ate 3/4's of my burger, they would NOT charge me the price of a whole one. The service at this store is horrible, and we actually drive to Pet Smart in Saint John now, a 1.5 hour drive to get service people expect and friendly employees. The Moncton store is a complete waste of time, unless you want to deal with teenage employees with horrible attitudes and chips on their shoulders.

It's really expensive for most stuff but they have a ton of stuff for animals. Sometimes they run out of the dog food I need but it hasn't happened in awhile. The staff are good and some have been there a long time. Overall it's a pretty good place to go but I just buy dogfood there.

Dropped off my shih-tzu to get his hair cut. I wasn't even out of the parking lot and the groomer called because she couldn't "handle him". If your job is to be a groomer, shouldn't you enjoy being around dogs? My shih-tzu loves his new groomer, plus it's $20 less.

I was picking up my pellet food for my sun conure and was looking for a treat that he could share with an African grey that lives where he goes to be taking care of Wyndham on vacation. She helped me soar through the selection. I did not want peanuts as they are not nutritional needs the best for parrots. We settled on a package of dried fruit that was small enough for my conure yet large enough for an African grey. Highly recommended.

What a horrible store. I went in to buy a conure this past friday, and the young lady working there screamed I QUIT and grabbed her jacket to leave. As I am standing there waiting to spend 600.00 on a conure. Management is non existent. He does nothing to help anyone but hides in his office while his staff walk up and down the center isle chatting and not helping customers who are standing waiting for help. YES, they have a lot of brands of dog food...but they haze ZERO ability to actually assist with your pets. They provide a TON of false information, and they are not willing to be held accountable when your animals are sick, or die from the info provided. Shame on you.

Very much disliked the attitude I got from the female employee working in the fish/reptile section of the store about a week ago. I've had reptiles for years and would prefer NOT to purchase them from Petsmart, however I don't have many options here. I have not found the advice that Petsmart employees give regarding pet care to be very accurate, considering that everything this particular lady told me was inaccurate according to my own sources that breed these animals. She told me my Beardie's terrarium should be at between 110-115F at all times...yet the brochure they hand out in their own store says 85-95F! That's a big difference. Anyway, didn't appreciate the attitude from someone who asked me zero questions about my setup or experience with reptiles. Just plain rude. Also waited in line for about 20 minutes, no idea why. If Global Pets sold reptiles, I wouldn't have gone to Petsmart. Don't recommend

Did online booking with price of $64 at 12:30pm....was called and left a voicemail saying they were overbooked and needed to book another appointment...Called them back....no answer so did another online booking for 5pm that same day.....Took my dog in for her appointment, groomer wasn't very friendly at all. made me sign some papers then 1 hour later was called and was told Sandy was going to be longer than expected due to some matting issues. Was called when she was ready to be picked up and was told "manager are being strict on de-matting" now so it would be a little extra. Booked and went in expecting $64 but the bill was $94.. Outrageous and should be ashamed of yourself! If I would have known I was going to be charged a $100 bill, I would have done it myself or taken her else where, where groomers charge $40. Very poor experience and will never be taking her there again!

Been to many PetSmart stores since we have two dogs. They had run out of Shih Tzu wet dog food. Many stores have. We were told the poodle dog food should be exceptable for them. It was not. Both developed diarrhea shortly after. We had even altered their remaining food with the poodle food. We gave them only their dry kibble and very shortly after they were back to normal in a couple days or so. We had been only giving them wet food mixed with dry in the morning, their favourite meal. We now give them ground up kibble (they don't know) with a tiny amount of beef powder mixed (about 1/8th teaspoon) mixed with hot water and some of their dry kibble. They are really loving their morning meals now and no more upset bowel symptoms. In the long run its been good that their wet food had run out since our dogs are now getting a better mixture. We were told that the wet food was not the best for them by a couple vets. Since we divided one tiny can between the two of them we figured it shouldnt be that detrimental. We no longer have that concern and both dogs are happy. Recently we took the dogs in for their haircut and nail trimmings at this PetSmart. Both dogs came out fine. We will use their services again. Still getting our dry food at this venue. Hoping our experience might help any other animal lovers.

Nice store to get supplys for pets I get my cat stuff and stuff for my fish here. You can bring animals in (of course) and can get dogs groomed. You can buy cats from the SPCA OF Moncton here also and they are always so cute and I want them all hah. I got my both of my liter boxes here and my fish tank and they are high quality. You can get a lot of accessory for your pets here as Well as necessary items like food. Overall great place for pet shopping or just coming in to look arround.

Always dead fish in the tanks, don't think it's that hard to pull the floaters. When I told the employee I was planning on buying some fish but not with so many dead in the tank she suggested I'd best come back tomorrow before they even hit their tanks. Their recirculating system is an amazing way to spread disease on a whole new level. The advertised "Minumum" tank size required is often extremely false after doing a quick Google search before buying in store.

This is a horrible store. They have children working here who are more interested in following young men through the store than actually helping people. I watched a young couple buy fish from the back, and when the lady got the bags to put the fish in, she took a small white and blue bottle and squirted something into the bags before putting the fish in. Something very wrong about this store. The manager is no help, he is honestly less help than the people next door at Bed Bath and Beyond when it comes to answering questions regarding the store, pets, or his employees. This store is a con, their pets die, their employees are just nonsense. No knowledge, and no clue.

Their mice have bugs and smell like decay, they carry a lot of enclosures that are way to small for their target animal, and in some cases don't carry enclosures large enough for the animals they're selling. Never buy feeder roadents here, they INSIST on only selling Artic Mice (the most horrid brand to grace this earth) back when they still carried animals I bought a ball python out of pitty because she was underfed.

Petsmart grooming salon is great! They have an abundance of safety policies put in place that ensures our pets are always in a safe place. Melissa grooms my dog regularly and i wouldn't change a thing! They make sure the pets in their salon are vaccinated, they dont take aggressive dogs, the dogs are all kept separate (salons that let the dogs run around together scares me) they take their time, give the dogs breaks if they become nervous or scared of the clippers, and now that they groom cats monday to friday i might start taking my 2 kitties there too!

I have been a customer of Petsmart for many years (food, toys & puppy training) but after my most recent visits to this location I’m not sure I’ll be back any time soon. Rather than go this route and leave a negative review we attempted to contact the head office and management to resolve our issue but just like like our in store experience there was indifference we were let down once again.

Horrible customer service by both staff and management. Asked a staff member a question (groomer named Melissa). She insulted me and then followed me through the store to the cash harassing me to the point that I had to tell her to back off and get away from me. Manager on duty refused to deal with the situation so I left without making a purchase. I contacted head office and was told that someone would reach out to me within 2 days. 6 days later I contacted head office again as no one had reached out to me. Was again told that someone would be in touch within 2 days. Finally heard from the district manager who advised he would be back in touch within a couple of days. 5 days later and I haven’t heard back from him yet. This large chain does not appear to have any concern about customer service or that it’s employees harass customers. I will never shop there. Pet Valu & Ren’s were very helpful in assisting me to find the items I wanted purchase. My money will go to them instead.

About the same as any other PetSmart location, clean, large variety of items. Their exotics section is always underwhelming and many times have enclosures for sale for specific species however are inadequate. It's an OK pittstop if you need something on the fly but better to buy from a small local store, staff will be more knowledgeable and have species appropriate items for sale.

Today I purchased some goldfish and a pleco for my son's 10 gallon tank. I was asked the size tank I had for the pleco and I told them it would be in a 10 gallon for now, then it would go to my bigger tank when it was not so small. After 5 mins of debating they decided I could not buy the pleco because I was not putting it in at least a 55 gallon tank. So, I told them I would put it in my 75 gallon tank if it made them happy. (Of course, I was not going to do that as the pleco is about 1 1/2 inches long and the larger fish would have a go at it). She told me she had to get the manager. Then the manager comes and starts asking me a series of questions...any minute I thought she was going to suggest coming over to my house for an inspection. In the end I have the pleco but I couldn't help notice the at least 30 dead fish in their aquariums at the store...ironic. Everyone has time to grill a customer over their purchase but no one has time to clean out their own aquariums. If clues were shoes, everyone here would be walking barefoot.

Over all I really like petsmart. I usually buy my fish here as there aren't many other options around. Ive had good luck and bad luck with their fish but they have a grace period where they will replace any fish that die or dont work out in your tank. However, they need to get with the times and stop keeping Bettas in those tiny cups!

Edit: We had a terrible experience with the Charlottetown PetSmart over trying to exchange a brand new set of clippers that were broken coming out of the box but the Moncton location is awesme corrected the Charlottetown mess up. This just reinforces that this is probably the best PetSmart in the maritimers. Thank you guys for being awesome! We live on PEI and we always come here instead of the PetSmart in Charlottetown. Took my dog there twice for regular wash, my dog ended up with a skin and ear infection in her left ear. Ended up costing me 450$ in treatments at the vet for trying to save a couple bucks. I wanted to give them a second chance and took her today for a brushing to minimize shedding and I swear it's as if she has not been brushed what so ever. To top it off the groomer that served me today was NOT having it. Her customer service was soooo poor that Ive had it with this place. They are not seeing my face ever again. I don't know if I should blame the workers or the corporation as a whole as I do not know how those workers are being treated them selves. In any case, they lost my business. Hope this prevents other people from going through the same bad experiences I've had.

This is one store you go because there are no other choice in town. They have the monopoly for small companion pets and they pretty much know it. Service is horrible, manager is useless, be ready to wait, wait a bit more and then wait some more if you need help. This is the only store where I have seen employees run away (including the manager) to go hide in the backstore after seeing a customer walking towards them. I go there because it's the only place in town that sell fish for my kid's aquarium, every time is a painful experience.

I have had my dog here 3 times now for grooming & have even brought my cat in for a dry bath/brush service to help with his shedding. I have had the opportunity to get my girl groomed by Haley/Mel & bathed by crystal she looked so cute & smelled great each time plus they used this nail cutting tool during her first service called a Grinder, I had never heard of this before I'm so glad they recommend this I had never seen her nails so smooth! My boy had his dry bath/brush done by Mandy, she recommended that I book his service on a weekday that way there would be less dogs around so my boy would feel more secure, Again another great idea. I honestly didn't even think of that I'm very grateful that they take my pets state of mine into account before booking a service! she did a wonderful job with him even got his nails clipped so he's not getting caught up on my furniture. I also appreciate that they require all pets to be vaccinated & keep them restrained at all times I feel at ease knowing this and trust that my pets will be safe during their spa days.

This is the best "pet" store in moncton. They promote responsible pet ownership by only offering cats from the SPCA. They offer grooming services from skilled professionals. You can bring your pet right along with you to check out all the toys and things. Also the only place I could find an aquarium at in the city anywhere.

I ordered online for curb-side pickup and I loved it! It was super quick and easy and the associate who came out to bring my items was very nice. All you need to do is order online, choose curb-side and you get an email when it’s ready for pickup. Once you get there, call the store and choose option 0. It will transfer you to someone and you just tell them why you’re calling. It may take a few minutes before they answer so please be patient. Once you speak to someone, within a few minutes, they come drop it off in your trunk. Loved the experience and will definitely use this again during the pandemic. I feel this is safer for everyone to shop like this. Limiting the spread by staying in our vehicles. Great job Petsmart associates!

I just want to say thank you to the sales associate (unfortunately, I didn't catch her name) who came to my rescue on Saturday. My dog is old and hadn't been eating well for the past couple days (teeth issues). I was pretty overwhelmed by the dog food aisles and about to have a meltdown when she came up to me and asked if I needed help. She showed me a few options and we successfully picked one out.
