I called thinking I had termites, but after having me text them a couple pictures, they determined it was just cornfield ants, and since I had already killed them all decided a visit wasn't even necessary. Very honest company.

We had a number of what we thought were bees in our living room. Old Island Pest Control came promptly when we called them and quickly identified the pests as yellow jackets. There was a large nest in our crawl space. Dakota was able to exterminate them all. He was extremely professional and reassuring. Problem solved!

If I could give 100 stars, I would! I was able to book with Old Island Pest Control rather quickly (which was important as I was hardly able to sleep).Chris showed up on time, and wore a mask and shoe covers without being asked. He was kind and sympathetic - which was much appreciated as I was super freaked out from having a mouse crawl on me in my bed. I was terrified about it and he reassured me that things were going to be ok. I paid for a 5-visit package, and found Chris to be punctual, knowledgable, and considerate every single visit. When he noticed ants, he took care of the ants. When he noticed a hole in my concrete that were allowing mice into my garage, he offered to patch it up. When I asked about the wasp nest on my roof, he discussed my options and told me what he would do (leave it, there's not threat with that kind of wasp). Never did I feel like my ignorance was being taken advantage of. Chris always answered my questions. I never felt judged or shamed, and instead learned that rodent problems are just something that happens sometimes, and you can bring experts in to deal with it. The prices were reasonable. I would recommend Chris and this company to ANYONE and only wish that they did more services so that I could hire them for anything I ever needed :) It's always intimidating to try and choose what kind of help to hire, so I hope this review helps someone else know that they're in good hands with this company.

Great service from start to end: they answered my questions so I could make a reasonable decision as to the control needed; promptly arrived, despite traveling on 2 ferries during summer vacation; listened well to the information I had, and to my concerns; appeared to find and destroy several carpenter ant infestations. Dakota was personable and polite, and had the expertise, equipment, and materials to do a great job, whereas I had tried three approaches available to me, but merely succeeded in moving around the ants' foraging trails. Our thanks!

Absolutely stellar service! Would give 10 stars if I could! This is the only pest company you need to call. A real person answered the phone on my initial call and right away scheduled me an appointment for a day that worked for me. On the day of the appointment Steve arrived early, knew my name and listened to what I said. He did a thorough inspection, was knowledgeable and professional, and then proceeded to eliminate the ants eating my antique house. I signed up for the package deal and feel great peace of mind knowing that Steve will be available if I have any new pest problems. I highly recommend Old Island Pest Control for any pest problem you might have, their service is amazing and something you very rarely find these days. Great service, an assessment was required based on home inspection report that there was evidence of mice in our attic. Called at 8am, assessment made at 10am same day. Traps set. We were in a time crunch re having the condition removed and OIPC responded above and beyond expectations.
