In Late Summer our town had a serious Bat Infestation I immediately called Terminix and they were extremely obliging. We are a very small town and approximately 3 hours drive from your office. With out any hesitation they said that they would have someone there in a day or so.They came and evaluated the situation and then Sent a quote. We accepted their quote and set a date to deal with the Bat Infestation. It was a real pleasure to have had the opportunity to work with these people, extremely professional and most of all they did what they said they would and right on time. Terminix, done right the first time. My rental unit uses this company for all of the apartments pest issues. We’ve called them for rodents, hornets, and even bed bugs; and they have always been extremely thorough and kind to the residents. They lay mouse traps and offer sticky traps if you prefer them instead, have always been very quick to respond, and are excellent in their pricing. Most recently they dealt with a bed bug issue in a unit and where at the address the same day the renter called to check the place. The technician wore a mask and was careful not to touch anything he didn’t need to as the renter asked, and checked the apartment carefully for signs of bugs, even went the extra mile to have a look at another problem the renter was having. He let them know how to prepare for a house treatment, giving them a list of what needed to be done, how to get mattress protectors, and working with the renters to make sure they had a convenient time for the appointment. The staff are very kind and understand that people can be embarrassed about having an issue with bed bugs and didn’t look down on the renters at all. You can call in to them and ask any question you have about the process and they will answer whether or not you are a customer, and with the utmost care and professionalism. Any time we have called them they have taken care of the problem quickly, kindly, and on the first try. I highly recommend them.

Absolute professionals. I had one of their technicians stop by to check on a wasp nest. He examined the site and determined the type of insect that was causing concern. He then educated me on their lifecycle while explaining that at this point there is no need to treat (although he could if I wished). They will leave on their own. He then thanked me and headed in his way. No charge! I will 100% be using these guys in the future if I have the misfortune of an infestation in the future. It's so nice to experience customer service again!

I had called for an urgent service call, since we found mold in our attic. I made the on Friday late and they assured me that they will be there first thing Monday morning. At 9 am sharp, A gentleman ( Brian I believe ) showed up, very cheerful and assured me that when he's done, there would be no mold left. He spayed our attic and told me to check in a couple of days and when I did, all I could see was a stain on the wood. All the cottony black was gone. We have had a great experience with Terminix and especially with Kirk Parlee. When he first arrived at our agency, we had already caught 42 rats in our basement and there were plenty more down there. Within a few days, they had fogged and cleaned the basement, set traps indoors and outdoors and coming in regularly to check on any activity and if one was caught we just reached out to him and he would come and retrieve it. After a couple of months, we no longer found any evidence of rats or mice. Kirk continues to come in once a month to monitor everything. Great service!!!!

I noticed a new and unsettling buzzing inside the house that was coming from an exterior wall. A friend recommended I call Terminix NL and I was very glad I did. They were super to deal with, sending a service tech ("Evan") to address the issue that same day. He was very professional, discreet, calm, reassuring, and thorough. He identified a huge and very busy wasps' nest under the new siding. He clearly explained the situation and the best plan of attack. He completely resolved the issue that day and I have not needed their services since. I have recommended this company to others who were also really pleased with their services. This fall I called Ace and the technician went all over my house, inside and outside. Terminix was one of the only places that actually responded to my call right away and I had someone come in the next day! Joe was awesome, he is very nice and professional and did the best he could for us in a tough situation. However the only reason I can’t give a perfect review is because the problem was not eliminated. We had 3 sprays and are still getting bit, but it may be a much bigger problem than just in our unit. We did not get to find out whether another treatment would have worked as our landlord refused to pay for it.

Edit: ok so I'm leaving my original review below just to show the issues I had. And I want to say how pleased I was at how serious the problem was taken after I posted the bad review on here. Original service was done in may ( not april ) by a tech that Im told is no longer with the company. I posted the original review on saturday and recieved a phone call monday morning with an offer to rectify the problem that day. Unfortunately I was busy that day but the new tech was sent out the following day to respray. He was really great, very personable and professional and I would say that about 85% of the wasps are gone. We still have a few stragglers hanging about and getting into a few small areas. All in all Im pretty happy with the follow up service, just sucks that it took a google review to get it fixed (though Im sure thats on the previous guy that was out just not bothering with the follow up). Original post follows; Had the guy out at the begining of the season ( around april ) to spray for paper wasps. We had / have a lot all around our home. He sprayed and told me about their guarantee. It was a tuesday and he told me that we should see them gone within a couple days. By friday we still had alot in all the same places ( which I had pointed out ) so I called back. The lady on the phone told me she would have the technician that had been here call me back and he never did. I call the following week and got the after hours guy but he told me the same thing that buddy would call me back. I call yet again the week after that and haven't heard anything but the buzzing of wasps everywhere. Terrible aftercare service. Great while their waiting for you to pay them. The $7 wasp trap I bought at walmart is doing a better job. Plenty of businesses around here without the big name. Guess I'll call one of them next. Save your money, don't bother with these guys.

Recently, mouse appeared in my apartment in Halifax area. We called Ace Pest Control. Young man came and started filling the holes he found with caulk. In general he spend 5 minutes in our two bedroom apartment and put only one mouse trap. Next day, of course mouse came again, as it impossible to do properly good job for 5 minutes. So we bought caulk ourselves, and started filling the same holes and found a lot of new one that Young man missed. But, after few weeks mouse come back and we found that she crunch the caulk. I am really disappointed of the ACE PEST CONTROL and give them one star! Reply: My landlord called your office, address: 6168 Willow Street, B3k 1M3. UPD: After my review, Manager with technicians contacted me and came to my apartment to investigate it. But, after two weeks mice came again, and again and again. And Ace Pest Control also came again, and again but unfortunately they could not solve this problem. We bought ourselves 7 mouse traps and put it across the apartment. And one night mice was caught by trap. And then another day we found new hole in the wall and droppings. Our Landlord took care of it. I am putting 3 stars only just because the Company react fast, visited my home few times and for trying but not solving this problem.

A few years after we moved into our seasonal residence on the Eastern Shore we were inundated with Carpenter ants, which was particularly scary because it is a log house. These ants were literally eating the house. We called Ace Pest Control and Brian quickly came to rescue our home with safe and effective products. He treated inside the home, killing the ants that had invaded, and applied a protective barrier around the exterior perimeter of the house. Carpenter ants represent a problem that must be managed as they live and colonize in the land around us and their populations particularly soar in wet springs. Tried to cancel my contract but they renewed it automatucally and was stuck an extra year with them. They came inside the house maybe 3-4 times in 2 years... Not evaluating where is the problem and how to fix it. I found a mice nest in my ceiling and they just moved the box outside to where the problem seems to be. My basement reaks of dead animal smell. I still have rodents making holes in my walls. I am not impressed, i even said why i wanted to cancel and they dont care. Someone should teach them customer service. What a waste of money!

On Bryce's initial visit he found and destroyed a wasp nest. He then treated the area to keep them from returning. Unfortunately, approximately one to two weeks later I found numerous dead wasps inside the house. He returned and found another old nest, but concluded they might be coming out of the vents from the heat pump. His tenacity in determining the source of the problem was extraordinary. I'm quite certain that many other technicians might have given up, but he saw the issue as a mystery to be solved. He was very polite and determined. He suggested that I get the heat pump technician to meet him here at an agreed upon time so that he could look inside the heat pump to ensure there was no nest there. On the agreed date, Bryce was here right on time. The other person arrived 45-50 minutes late. While waiting for him, Bryce went outside to see if he could dig a little further into one of the vents and was successful. He returned with what he described as "the biggest nest he'd ever seen". This young man is an exceptional worker. At this time when companies of all sorts are looking for employees to fill the many vacancies that exist, he is an example of the best any company could hope to have on its payroll. I really hope that his work ethic, mannerly attitude and overall professionalism is truly recognized, appreciated and rewarded by your company.

I am just letting you people know that if you have EXCEL PEST CONTROL LTD. come into your home for ANYTHING, stay with them, do not let them out of your sight. They do shoddy, unprofessional work and say they are going to be there on one date and do this and they do not. I have tried contacting them on several occasions after the work done in my apartment and have not had any word what so ever. They told me things had to be done a certain way and items would have to be disposed of and I have found out this was not necessary. They threw out personal belongings that did not have to be thrown out - if they were the PROFESSIONALS they claim to be! I have used Ace pest control for five or six years now. When I first called it was in Sept. and I had call all the big name guys in pest control . Two were to busy , one said they would come out but would be 2 weeks. I called Ace . The young lady that answered said we could come out and spray but the ants will be gone in 3 weeks. Call back in April and we will gladly spray and take your money but we can not take it with a good conscious now unless you really want us too. I thanked her for her honesty. She had a tech call me and he explained some things I could do and sure enough the ants were gone in couple weeks for the winter. I called that April and they remembered me. They came out and I have been a satisfied customer since. Friendly people to deal with. They know there business well and treat you like you are the only customer . Once they spray and you need them to come back they do no issue. And finally the price is more then fare and reasonable for the service they provide.
