So rude! The owner, Maureen, actually showed up at our house just to berate my wife because our street is under construction and the cleaner could not park in our driveway! Ridiculous! We used to be happy with the service when we were dealing with Megan, but once she left 2 months ago, the experience went down hill fast. Poor cleaning and worse service. I would have had more fun cleaning my toilet than dealing with this company.

Well, I had been with Greenapple for many many years. I have had cleaners that were fabulous but more recently not. I put up with the job without complaints as I felt that, even though I was not getting anything like they promised, I was getting some work done. I had even asked the last cleaner if she was cleaning my shower (small and only one that my husband and I use) and she looked surprised and stated no - not every time. Well she only came every 2 weeks! I had been asking for more time for nearly 2 years, and a few months ago the owner apparently came out to assess, but never heard back or had a response by telephone or email!! Anyways, I was expecting company last Friday and extremely busy at work, cleaners were to come Thursday and I get an email Wednesday stating no cleaners coming the next day, she has moved my cleaner into the office, without having a suitable backup and stating "I'm afraid we don't have a weekly time slot available right now for the duration required to clean your home and not sure when that might be." This company is NOT reliable, nor do they meet any of their cleaning standards or follow the 20-point standards that they set out. I have never had my bathroom floors washed by hand, no entry windows ever done, and often the area rugs not vacuumed! I had even referred this company to others in the past...including my daughter and my husband's business and ensured that I kept my hours even though we would travel and the house was empty....and this is the professional service I received in response! Then to add insult to injury...they put through the payment for the cleaning and I had to contact for a refund!

Would not recommend wasting your time. I had monthly cleans set up and had 6 or 7 cleans total 10ish months (there was a break in service because of the pandemic). The cleaners were very inconsistent with what they’d clean, often missing elements I explicitly requested be prioritized. Communication with the office staff was consistently challenging - i experienced long delays in their responding to emails, weird accusations, and billing errors. When pointing out any of these things, i was met with quite unprofessional responses. There was lots of turnover of cleaners and it’s clear now why.

We are very lucky and have GreenApple do our house cleaning bi weekly through work benefits. It is such a nice experience to come home and have your house cleaned, and I see such tremendous value in this that if work didn't provide these benefits I would definitely hire Green Apple myself. The house smells fine when I get home, not all chemically and nasty. We have been with Green Apple for just under a year, and I have never come home and been unsatisfied. Even some small unexpected things are cleaned if the cleaner has extra time, and they are very compassionate. Today I came home and there was a little note inside saying that Bernadette (our cleaning lady) accidentally broke a picture frame. I thought that was so nice that she wrote a note and apologized and offered to replace the 4x6 frame! Little does she know I dropped the picture a day ago and know that this isn't her fault at all, it was bound to happen. Anyways, its just nice to know that they care. I would recommend Green Apple in a heart beat. Maureen came by for our inspection as was all organized with her iPad and taking notes. Each cleaner and house is so individual and they really take that upon themselves to give that unique experience. Great stuff!

Terrible experience. Too bad because we were looking for a regular cleaning company and they are reasonably priced. I asked for a move out deep clean, and detailed all problematic areas. I wanted to make sure everything was sparkling clean because we have an infant and the previous tenants in our rental had pets. I asked on the phone to remove all cobwebs, clean inside of cabinets and wash all the floors and baseboards and bannisters, as well as clean the bathrooms and the ceiling fans. They said no problem, it’s all on the checklist. They came and DIDN’T CLEAN the cabinets outside of the kitchen, DIDN’T CLEAN ANY BASEBOARDS anywhere nor did they clean the bannister, and left all the cobwebs. I called and asked them to come back, complained about the lack of detail. Normally, when someone makes a mistake, they would offer a discount, but instead they ended up coming back to fix their own mistake and CHARGED ME EXTRA time. I do not recommend this cleaning company if you are looking for attention to detail and sparkling clean services.

Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with this service. I hired them for a move in deep clean and needed to re-clean my entire condo afterwards. The kitchen was still caked in grease, the cabinets had dark marks inside that easily wiped off when I cleaned myself so I know they weren't cleaned, the baseboards were not touched, there was debris left in the fridge and stove despite them being empty, the windows were not touched. I feel like I threw my money in the garbage, and the response I got from the company was also unsatisfactory, they offered to give me a discount on having someone come back to clean the kitchen again. You know what they say: "fool me once..." RE response below: As I stated in my email to you, some of your claims are simply not true. There was musk use 100% of the time and social distancing being followed. In addition: the photos were not sent one week later, unless your week has fewer days than mine does! I spoke to a representative over the phone on Monday as I was driving across the province to move, I told her I would send photos as soon as possible, which I did three days later once I had a moment to catch my breath. And with respect to the height to items to be cleaned: I do not believe you can argue that baseboards, a stove, fridge and bathroom faucets and mirror are out of reach. These things were not cleaned, and I did send you photos of them. It is of course your right to do with my feedback as you wish, which was to challenge the authenticity of my photos and dissatisfaction and provide me a discount. It is also my right to not accept that offer because I do not want to pay more for something I feel I already paid quite a lot for.

I used the cleaning service for my apartment. I was told that I would only be charged for the cleaning after it was completed. After the first cleaning, I was not happy with company so I decided to cancel my service for any future cleaning. I tried to call the office multiple times, left messages but no answer. I found out the company charged my credit without my authorization. This is unacceptable and unethical. I tried to communicate with them via email to discuss this why I am being charged but still no answer. Don't use this company! Don't give them your bank or credit information because they will charge you.

Although, I'd originally planned on a bi-weekly plan with this company, based on the below, I have changed my mind. I received two separate estimates for my cleaning. One was via the internet, through the Green Apple site, and the other was a walk through assessment. I spent an hour with Sonia for assessment purposes. She assured me that my house was a 3.5 hour clean, as outlined in the estimate. I was completely mislead. I offered to accommodate, as I am aware that there is vast floor space, by only having half the space mopped bi-weekly. Just to be CLEAR, I sent a follow-up email to the company stating that only half the mopping would be done, but that the whole house should be vacuumed. This email was received and verified by Megan. I also had another conversation with Maureen, and I again repeated the cleaning plan. this was communicated 3 times. Since, I did not receive a call during the cleaning, I felt rest assured at work all day that I would come home to a clean house. When I arrived home, I was pleased with most of what I saw, but then realized that only less than 50% of the job was completed. None of the floors other than the bathrooms and kitchen were mopped. And there were parts of the shower that were not done at all (the shelf where the shampoo and soap is, and the step out of the shower still had mildew on it). The basement was untouched, aside from the bathroom. The kitchen cupboards were not wiped at all. And there was some dusting that was completely missed. I put a call in to the company @3:30 p.m., and Megan told me I would receive a call back. By 5 p.m., I'd not heard anything. I should point out that when a client is dissatisfied, their issue should be put at forefront. I got in touch with Maureen, who told me Anne had run out of time during the clean and had to get to another house. Maureen also told me "there was a lot of dog hair". Well, I manage the dog hair, and in fact, I did some clean-up of the dog hair the day before. To me, if you're dusting, vacuuming, sweeping or whatever, the dog hair, dust crumbs shouldn't impede on time. It's just part of the job, unless you're not sweeping, vacuuming or dusting UNLESS there is dog hair? Maureen also told me that when she was here yesterday morning, she doubted that the house would be done on time. Why didn't I receive a call right then? Why wasn't I given a choice at that time? I likely would have asked that the job be minimized, and I would've had the opportunity to prioritize the cleaning based on the 3.5 hours. It sort of floors me, that a manager would leave an employee hanging like that and imply that she won't succeed. I sent a follow-up email with all the issues I was concerned about. I did not hear from the owner of the company until the end of the day. Maureen was attempting to offer a resolution by having her company come back, but charging me more for another visit. She told me that they'd estimated 3.5 hours, but that less than half the house was cleaned in over 4 hours. Talk about being mislead. she went on to tell me that the house had a LOT of dog hair. Well, this is why I am hiring a CLEANING company. And Sonia, the assessor told me the house was "immaculate". After I'd already decided the business relationship was over, and I was attempting to collect my key, I was informed that the cleaners hold the keys. Well, do your research people. Green Apple's competitors practice safer security principles. So, my key is sitting at someone's house, whom I've never met... and anyone who comes and goes from that house has access to it. I'll admit, I am very hostile over this experience, but young mom's with kids, dogs and overwhelming responsibilities are the people who need and rely on these kinds of services the most. It's highly emotional. And when we're mislead and our safety is taken lightly, it's a call for hostility. All that to say, I'm not confident enough in the company to continue with services, nor will I recommend them to others.

I used this company to deep clean my rental property. Initially, the company gave me a estimate for 4 hours of deep clean. The cleaners came to the the house, they said it will take a little more time. So I approved an additional hour to do the work. But after cleaning is done, I received a hefty bill ($694.95) for 7 hours which I had never approved. I rushed to see my property and found that the cleaners did a lousy job; very poor cleaning. For example, bathroom was dirty e.g. toilet had scale, vanity still had dirty spots, floor was not cleaned, kitchen sink had scale, spots on walls were not cleaned, indoor windows had dust, I found rubbish and dirt on some floors (photos were sent to the company) etc. They claimed to work for 7 hours but did nothing. I immediately emailed them with 20 photos of all the things they were not done properly despite their claim of 7 hours of work. I gave them two options: first redo the cleaning as discussed earlier; or refund me for not doing the job as agreed upon. They appreciated the photos and apologized for the poor work and refunded me for two hours only. But they refused to re-clean the house stating that "you were not forthcoming or truthful about when we booked the cleaning". If such is the case, why did cleaners go ahead with cleaning after assessing the whole house? Why did they say they will clean everything with a little extra time? Why didn't they refuse? They increased the amount for carpet cleaning after assessing and I was ok with it. This means they lied to me about the job. They did not fufill their promise to redo the work if not done properly. After discussing with experts, I am now planning on a business lawsuit against this company. I have given them another chance to review their decision before I proceed with the lawsuit.

I believe they wrote their own reviews. You can tell my the repetitive nature of the wording as well as the dates!!! This company is not at all what they profess to be. They miss appointements, are late - neglect to return phone calls and are just what they protray themselves to be. They were neglectful with our belongings. They have NO concept of how to clean, the job was poorly performed and the floors and mirrors were worse after their arrival. ( an hour late). They chat on their cell phones, and text message on our time. I am not impressed. When I expressed the need to depart because of their tardy start I was met with a terrible attitude and the cleaning was not completed as a result yet I was billed for the full amount. If these girls had arrived when they promised, stayed off their cell phones and text messaging devices perhaps they would have at least completed the requested job. They are young and not experienced. Sadly the owner is equally as naive and lacks business common sense. My vote is save your money!

I have been with Greenapple House Cleaning for nearly 2 years. I have found them to be professional and responsive. I was first drawn to them because of their use of green products. Over the years, I have learned much about the harm caused by everyday chemicals, both to us and to the environment, and we wanted to become part of the solution. Greenapple Cleaning was a step in the right direction. Since then they have kept me because of their customer service. Maureen is quick to let me know if there are any issues, and also quick to rearrange the schedule if I have a conflict. Margarita is wonderful, and does a great job - specially considering the size of our house. I have read the other reviews that have focused on how the reviewer felt her expectations had been mismanaged. It was never the case for me. It did require a bit of adjustment, at the very beginning, to go from the evaluation of how long it would take to clean our house to the actual time it took to clean it. That is to be expected of any cleaning service and Maureen was always clear that is was an estimate. We worked out what could be done according to how much I wanted to pay and moved on. One thing I have really appreciated, is Greenapple's way of handling changes in cleaners. It is normal to have a certain amount of turnaround, and when some of the cleaners that had been assigned to me either went back to school or changed work, Maureen always took the time to come with the new cleaner and train her on what my requirements were. It made the transition seamless, and prevented any issues from arising while keeping the cleaning service the way I wanted it. I am happy with the house cleaning, the professionalism and the customer care.

Unprofessional Company

This is a very unprofessionally run company. I have researched this company and have been told that the co-owner, Maureen Buckley, and her office staff refer to some clients in a very degrading manner, they don't always show up, they don't return e-mails, and they used to advertise as providing their staff with benefits, as an incentive, but never did. They are fortunate Labor Standards weren't contacted. This is what happens when a company is run by three ladies that have very low moral standards.

I rarely make reviews but I feel like I had to this time. We started with Greenapple cleaning a few months ago. Our first cleaner was Eden who was fantastic and did a great job. This is where it ended. We were told about a month ago Eden went back to school and we were to get a replacement cleaner. This new cleaner came once and we were unhappy with the clean. After emailing and contacting Greenapple, they said they would be in touch with the cleaner and get back to us. After about a week and no contact, I reached out to them again and they said the cleaner said she mismanaged her time and could not mop the floors as part of our cleaning. They also said she had quit so they would be in touch with a new cleaner for our next cleaning. No offer of a refund or partial refund. Now two weeks later, they said a new cleaner would be coming for our scheduled cleaning this past Thursday. Got an email in the morning of the scheduled clean saying the cleaner had quit (another cleaner quitting) and that we would not be able to get a clean. Maureen mentioned in her email that she would give me a call to discuss further (which i emailed right back asking her to please give me a call). Now its Friday morning, not only did I not hear back from Maureen, Green apple emailed us an invoice for the cleaning AND charged my credit card for a cleaning we did NOT get.... I called multiple times yesterday and everytime it said all their agents were busy and to leave a voicemail. I called again this morning to get my credit card charge reversed and of course, no one was available. Horrible experience...would definitely not recommend.

The cleaning service provided was excellent. The person arrived on time, had all her own cleaning supplies, and tended to all the tasks superbly including dusting, vacuuming, scouring the bathrooms, cleaning the linoleum flooring and other. She was mannerly and informative.

Excellent service and great experience throughout! It was my first time using GreenApple Home cleaning and the company was very professional, transparent in their communication. They answered my questions on time and respectfully. Lindita was assigned our booking and she did an amazing job: came on time, was aware of the key requirements and was very very thorough. At the end, she recapped with us everything she did. I initially booked monthly services, but I am now interested in switching to biweekly. When I reached out to the office manager to inquire about it, Rebecca was prompt in replying and very accommodating as well. I will continue using GreenApple and would strongly recommend them!
