We recently hired Busy Lizzie to complete a 'Spring Clean' for our cottage in Huntsville. We were sent an invoice for over $300, which we happily paid. Unfortunately because it is a seasonal property we were not there to ensure the cottage was actually cleaned. The following day our rental agency attended the property and notified us that it appeared no one had cleaned, not even as much as a quick vacuum or cleaned anything at all. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried to allow them to rectify the situation but they were unresponsive and unwilling. After being at the cottage personally it is obvious that the cottage wasn't cleaned.
These types of situations are very unfortunate. Not only the cost for the clean but the hassle of dealing with the situation in its entirety. We could not have our photos completed for our rental listing because we relied on Busy Lizzie to clean it, but they didn't - so that had to be rescheduled. Then when we went up to our cottage hopeful we could relax and enjoy how clean it would be, instead we are now vacuuming, washing baseboards, scrubbing floors etc.
When booking our 'Spring Clean' they were very specific on everything that would be completed and while they are insistent staff was here, it looks like they walked in and out within minutes and didn't touch anything.
I should note the company has given us a refund for the clean but as noted above the whole situation was very unsettling and it took me 4-5 phone calls and a few weeks to finally get it settled with them. Was also very disappointed in the poor customer service we received which is another reason for this review.
