I was very disappointed with the service and communication from Paddy’s Pool & Spa Service. This company is listed in the local phone book and was also recommended to me by a very reputable property management company in Canmore. I wanted to hire them to winterize my hot tub in Canmore as this is one of the services offered on their website. When I called their main phone number several times (weekdays at various times), my call always went to voicemail. After I left several phone messages and did not get any calls back from them, I finally emailed them requesting their availability. Within a couple hours, I got an email reply from Craig Patrick telling me that he could schedule me in to winterize my tub in the following week. I replied to his email within an hour and told him to book me in and I asked him to confirm the price for the service. One week later, I still did not get a reply to my second email. On the day of the appointment, I waited all day and no body from Paddy’s showed up to winterize my Spa. When I phoned them to see when they were coming, my call went to voicemail again. I left another voice message and never did get a reply back.
I drove to their shop in Canmore to see if I could talk to someone in person but the doors were locked and the lights were out. The shop appears to be a cluttered workshop bay in the industrial part of Canmore. It doesn’t seem like this is an active business.
I would not recommend Paddy’s to anyone seeking a reliable spa service company. It seems like a one-man show and they do not respect their customers’ time. They are unprofessional and lack basic communication skills – if they are too busy and can’t handle any new customers, all they needed to do is return my call and let me know they are not taking any new jobs. Clearly, their website is also out of date as they make no mention that they are closed and not accepting new customers.
Bottom-line: stay away from these guys! Try the other local Spa dealer and service company.
