Just had our first clean with Hire a Maid - had Breanna & Alexis. Both ladies were very friendly. We have a puppy and 2 cats, so it was very important that they were good with animals - both were wonderful and loving. I plan on using HireaMaid again and will update my review as we go along! Update: Megan is who we have for our full-time cleaner now. She is amazing. She is very thorough and very good with our pets. Honestly, she is the only one we want from now on. She cleans with purpose and is so lovely to be around. Thank you Megan!!

Very happy to come home to a clean house. I was left in a lurch by my former cleaner and Stephanie was great about arranging for someone to come in quickly. She spent a long time on the phone with me getting as many details as possible to make sure everything was perfect. The only reason I didn't go for 5 stars is because it's a bit pricey for me and I've had to move to monthly cleaning rather than bi-weekly; but my understanding is that it compares very favourably with other services. Definitely recommend.

I never, ever leave reviews... I know I should, truly, and it's a habit I have to start doing more of, particularly for our local businesses. We've used Hire A Maid for a few years, and over the last 6 to 9 months or so, we've had the same girl clean our house - this is only because she happened to replace our normal cleaners during one clean because of a last minute schedule change (they were good too!). Well that was the best schedule change ever. Alexis is amazing, like.. small touches, huge personality, leaves messages on your chalk board awesome. Thank God for her, with 3 kids she keeps us sane and seeing her is a treat! I was kind of hesitant leaving this review only because I don't want her to get over scheduled and risk not having her!! You're amazing, Alexis, truly.

Maddy came on time and was polite, friendly and professional. She took her time to thoroughly clean our house and mop our place, so that after 3hrs, it was sparkling clean and smelled nice. Also, she left the windows open to air out our place, which is so helpful during these COVID times, as it allows for proper ventilation. Maddy also put in special touches like leaving us a handwritten note & doing a hotel-life fold of my robe and our towels. Thank you kindly and we are happy with this service. Please note: households need to provide cleaning supplies including vacuum, mop with bucket, cleaning detergents and sponges.

We hired this service for an initial deep clean and subsequent maintenance every two weeks. Ashley and Katie have been super helpful to schedule the cleanings and communicative about any changes with the scheduling. Danielle came for our maintenance clean and did a fantastic job with the cleaning. She specifically did a great job with the kitchen and bathrooms which are the two areas that need most attention during maintenance cleans. Due to a change in schedule we had our cleaner changed to Megan and she has been coming regularly for the past couple of months. I am so pleased with her cleaning. She is extremely punctual and thorough. Additionally, she is very nice and friendly which makes me very comfortable. I am pleased with how Hire A Maid handled the transition of our cleaners and recommend this service 100%.

Katie was great handling the booking logistics. Kallie and Megan did a great job on our deep cleaning. They did a thorough job, top to bottom. Kitchen, bathrooms, basement, floors, walls, everything. Now I feel guilty walking through the house messing it up. We're going to continue have them coming to perform the Premium Maintenance service. I would recommend them to anyone looking to use a cleaning service.

We feel safe with this service during the pandemic. Only one person instead of a team (Maddy), so way less risk for possible exposure. Maddy wears a mask the whole time, and cleans one floor while we are busy on the other ... then we switch. Maddy does a super job, catching all the little details and leaving our home spotless. There is a definite ‘before’ and ‘after’ difference. She applied so many personal touches, leaving our home looking like a new model home, or an expensive resort!

On Thursday, February 24, 2021 I called Hire A Maid House Cleaning Services Inc. to inquire about a deep cleaning service for my house. I spoke with Ashley on the phone and she listened to everything I wanted to have cleaned and informed me that she had a cancelation for tomorrow morning and that she could have two professionals come and clean my house. I couldn't believe the fast turn around it was fantastic. On Friday, February 25, 2021 both cleaning professionals arrived on time at 10:30am with all of their own cleaning supplies, masks and etc. My husband let them into our home and they immediately started to work. During this time I was sleep (I work shift work and I'm on nights this week). They were extremely quiet while cleaning. I woke up introduced myself and told them if they needed anything to please let me know. Diane and Lisa C. were very professional, they worked very hard to clean our home. They even cleaned out our drain in our bath tub, which let me tell you I couldn't believe the amount of hair and such they found. They definitely saved us from getting a plumber. We are incredibly grateful and appreciate all of their hard work. We will definitely have Diane and Lisa C. back over to clean or home. If you are thinking about hiring a cleaning professional you must "HireaMaid." Don't wait like I did call them, get a quote and hire them. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. We had suspended our service with Hire A Maid after the first COVID lock down in Spring 2020 and finally made the decision to resume our bi-weekly cleaning in November and we are so glad we did...I don't know why we waited so long! Lordes is so lovely and the little finishing touches she puts on each room shows how much she cares. We are also working from home right now and feel safe with the COVID protocols that are in place. Highly recommend!

Lindsay and Lisa C. performed cleaning of my parents space. Let me tell you that bathroom was squeaky clean from grime, and the kitchen, including all surfaces were polished. Oh my goodness, I can’t say enough about Hire-A-Maid, I’m so glad I found them! They were so helpful from the beginning, I was greeted by Katie in the office when I called and she explained how the service works and all costs. Katie even stated that they were booking in September, but managed to find an opening for us, she then called a few days ago to say there was a cancellation and I can be booked sooner, which worked out well. Today was our first deep cleaning by Tegan, and she was amazing! She was very thorough and explained everything to me, I have requested the pleasure of her cleaning again. Unfortunately, we did run out of time, but Tegan did promise everything will be done in two weeks. Fantastic job Tegan! I look forward to seeing you in two weeks.

I am beyond satisfied with my cleaning service at Hire a Maid Durham. I was in a severe motor vehicle accident and these ladies have given me the ability to have pride in my home again. They come every other week with a BIG smile on their faces and are delighted to see us and clean around us. The girls are more like friendly faces in our home and my son truly looks forward to them coming in the door every time. Aside from their warm and caring presence they are very meticulous and take pride in their work. Their attention to detail and small gestures - like changing the date on my calendar or writing birthday messages to my son do not go unnoticed. Megan and Jess were our original cleaners, my son adores them so much he wanted to invite them both to his birthday party! These girls truly deserve recognition for their dedication and hard work. and if you are lucky enough they will be your cleaning ladies too! This service was definitely a luxury for us, but as a couple about to move and about to have a baby, we needed some help in preparing our apartment before we left. I was encouraged by the reviews of Hire a Maid and the fact that they don’t contract out their work. We had a very friendly and thorough team, Chloe P who was there the full time and another woman who joined her to help (possibly Erin, but I didn’t get her name directly) who were efficient, detail oriented and very upbeat. They did a fantastic job. The price is fairly high but they worked so hard all day, that it was definitely worth it. We both agreed it was well worth it. I’d gladly go with this company again if we need a cleaning service.

Kallie, Maddy, Danielle and Lindsey did a deep, move-in clean for us. They had their work cut out for them as the appliances were disgusting and the floors and carpets were filthy. They deep cleaned the house from top to bottom and left it sparkling. They did a final inspection with me and showed me the areas that they cleaned but had been stained/marked beyond the ability to remove. Super satisfied, will be seeking out regular cleans with this crew/company!
