For a deep clean of 1 floor in very small house {1 average size bedroom, 1 small size living room, 1 very small hallway, 1 very small bathroom, 1 small kitchen and 1 average size front room} the total came to $898 and change!!! This did not include moving any furniture or appliances, nor were any appliances cleaned on the inside as I did not need/want that. I found the price to be atrocious for 2 workers cleaning for a total of 3 hours. Also, I was totally unimpressed with the vacuum they brought to use. The cord taped all up because it was obviously damaged. Worse yet, there was ONLY 1 attachment which was the floor piece There wasn't a crevice, upholstery or WORSE yet, a carpet attachment. A floor attachment does NOT thoroughly clean carpets whatsoever! A proper carpet cleaning attachment with what's called a beater bar is what SHOULD be used on carpets. I was NOT satisfied with the quality of the carpet cleaning but that was NO fault of the excellent cleaning woman. It was because the company sent them out with such shoddy equipment. Both women were very professional and extremely hard workers. They were also most pleasant and did a fantastic job with the exception of what wasn't possible to clean the carpets better, as I stated above, through NO fault of hers. Because of the ridiculous price they charge, and lack of providing their staff with a decent vacuum cleaner, I will NOT be using this company ever again. Edited at this point to add: I was not meaning "steam" cleaning of the carpets, nor was I meaning any "wet" {or however way} upholstery is cleaned OTHER than vacuuming. The furniture was NOT thoroughly vacuumed and the brand new carpet attachment the owner mentioned in their reply was NOT brought into my home to be used. As a result, the carpets were not vacuumed as well as they should have been because of using the wrong {bare floor) attachment. The owner mistook my use of the word "clean" above where I meant "vacuum". I didn't know I had to be that specific because I didn't expect any actual "steam cleaning" of carpets OR "other kind of upholstery cleaning" aside from vacuuming to even be done by a house cleaning service. Those services for steam cleaning carpets are separate companies. Trust me, 1 in Peterborough calls to bother me every year to ask if I want my carpets cleaned, even though each time I tell them not to call again. Lastly, your vacuums are not "that" expensive nor top of the line. A $400 cannister vacuum with taped up frayed wiring, NO attachments and only the piece to do the uncarpeted floors is far from expensive or top quality equipment for a company that charges so much. I used to use Molly Maid and still would but they no longer come out this far, not worth it to them was the reason. I guess that's why you think you can charge so much. My point about them though is they DO use top of the line, expensive {$700) upright vacuums that have every attachment possible {floor attachment pipe, separate carpet attachment pipe with beater bar, crevice/upholstery and a 3rd small attachment piece that I don't even know what it's for}. Their vacuums are also far more powerful and my carpets were spotless after.

There is a reason this company is so highly rated, and it's because they run a professional business and provide a quality cleaning service. Maria was prompt to get back to me with a quote, and quickly scheduled us in for bi-weekly cleans at our home. They are always on time, haven't missed a day, are fast and efficient and leave the house spotless, not to mention they are excellent with our dog. They also did a rental cleaning for us before new tenants moved in and accommodated the request on short notice and did an excellent job.

I have never used Cleaning Studio services. What I am posting about, however, is my concern about the legitimacy of all the 5 star /positive reviews. This is a known problem on Google, unfortunately. ALL reviews have been left in the past 8 months, as of the posting of THIS review. Presumably this is a new business, or possibly something happened 8 months ago to trigger reviews to start to be left. Here's MY review of the reviews: Ross Tenyson - Has left a 5 star review (and comments) for a Cleaning Studio in Peterborough, and two other reviews (years prior) for businesses thousands of miles away in California. Mike Whibbs - Has left two 5 star reviews (and comments) - one for Cleaning Studio and one for a business in Lakefield. I have been able to identify a Peterborough resident named Mike Whibbs, so this review appears to be legitimate. Linda Kubas - Has only ever left ONE review online, 3 months ago, and that review is a 5 star (with comments) for Cleaning Studio. I cannot identify a Peterborough resident by this name, however, if she exists she may not live in the actual City of Peterborough. Meaghan Fuller - Has only ever left ONE review online, 1 month ago, and that review is a 5 star (with comments) for Cleaning Studio. I cannot identify a Peterborough resident by this name using the specific spelling "Meaghan" (with an 'h'). The choice of wording in the review, such as "work ethic" is, to me, a bit suspect. Teri Johnstone - Has left FIVE reviews, in the past 6 months, for Peterborouh and area businesses. There does, indeed, appear to be a Peterborough resident by this name. Although another reference to "work ethic" leaves me slightly suspicious. This is not a term, in my experience, that gets used a lot by average customers, and to see it used in two reviews, one right after the other, just gives me pause. For now, however, I would consider it a legit review. Daryl Porter - Has only ever left TWO reviews - both 5 stars (with comments) - one for Cleaning Studio and one for a car dealership in Mississauga. I cannot find a Peterborough resident by this name using this spelling, but I CAN find a local resident using a different spelling of the same name. Miranda Entwistle - Has only ever left a single review, 3 months ago (3 months ago seems to have been popular) and it is a 5 star (with comments) for Cleaning Studio. I have, however, found a local resident by this name. Was the review actual left by her? Who knows. Usually real people don't just randomly review a SINGLE business, and non others ... ever. Jason Maxwell - Has only ever left TWO reviews - both 5 stars (with comments) - one for Cleaning Studio and one for a business in Toronto. I cannot find a local resident named Jason Maxwell. Lucie Kawichie - Appears to be a legitimate review/person in Peterborough. Andrea Maxwell - Appears to be a legitimate review/person in Peterborough. Project Griakes - Has only ever left a single review - a 5 star (NO comments) for Cleaning Studio. Maria João Soares - Has only ever left a single review - a 5 star (NO comments) for Cleaning Studio. The name alone sounds suspect for Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Alice Martins - Has only ever left THREE reviews - all 5 stars (with comments) - 1 for Cleaning Studio and the other 2 for businesses in Portugal. Call be paranoid, but this seems rather ... odd. The review pattern, and overwhelming 5 stars without a single critique of any kind, may indicate the most excellent cleaning service in town. It may also indicate someone (e.g., a web "developer") paid for or otherwise obtained/created some reviews. Always look at who is leaving reviews, and pay particular attention to how many other reviews they have left, and whether all their other reviews are for businesses somewhere else.
