Very impressed. I have never had this done before and was apprehensive about getting our ducts cleaned because we have a timid cat and I’m not thrilled about strangers coming in our home. The two men, Andrew and Hensly were great. Friendly, professional, they put booties on to cover their footwear. I appreciated they were careful and respectful while in my home and also patient and helpful while we moved our cat to other rooms while they worked. And their truck was as clean a fire truck. We were having issues with air conditioning and our repairman said we needed our ducts cleaned ASAP. Alberta Furnace was able to come out first thing the next day. The call operator was friendly and made sure to walk me through the pricing so there was no surprises. Both reps showed up on time and were polite and courteous. They explained everything in great detail. They were careful with their long hoses to not scrape up the walls and gave advice to maintain our furnace and air conditioner ongoing. All in all it was an excellent experience! Would definitely book with them again and would recommend!

Arrived a time slot earlier than expected.. was communicated. The team of two arrived one working upstairs and one downstairs. I was watching the one upstairs.. he was very concerned about counting how many vents there were.. he then proceeded to tell his coworker how many as he came upstairs to check on him.. If I wasn’t watching him work he would of missed cleaning two vents..! Not very professional considering how concerned they were about counting them..! Maybe an oversight.. maybe not..! They did a good job but needed supervision..! So how many vents do you think are counted and not cleaned if no one is watching..!!

Called for furnace and vent cleaning on a Friday and the service was completed on a Monday morning. The technicians were on time, polite and efficient. It was -25 outside so it was appreciated that the service only took approximately 1 hour. Would definitely recommend and will be a repeat customer.

From the moment I made the request for a quote somebody contacted me immediately and I had a wonderful customer service representative provide me with the information in the pricing. When I book the appointment there was a follow-up confirmation via email and phone. The day of my appointment I received a call to confirm the time frame they would be arriving. When the cleaners came they were extremely friendly and professional. They made sure the walls were covered so no damage was done from the large hose. They explained the process and nothing needed to be removed Furniture wise as they were very capable of reaching all aspects that needed to be cleaned without inconveniencing me as a homeowner. Both technicians were very polite, on time and professional. Answered my questions in good detail. Prices for the services I requested were good and reasonable. Came into the house wearing clean uniforms and wore boot covers to walk around the house in. Left no mess whatsoever. The cleaning will make a big difference in my furnace and ac unit lifespan. Very happy with the service that I received. The technicians took their time and explained what they were doing, they showed me how dirty the previous owners had left the the system. It certainly hurts the cheque book at the time, but you will notice a big different just in the air flow and how easy it is to breathe. My only complaint is that at the beginning I would have liked a little bit of communication between which rooms they would start with as there was a bit of a scare thinking a cat had snuck out during. My suggestion would be if they had worked with me to tell me they would start with a bedroom and then I could have locked them in there afterwards. All in all it was great work and well needed.

Was a pain scheduling the appointment as it took days to actually book a time. On the date they were supposed to come they no showed and never called to let us know what happened. When I finally for ahold of them 3 days later they said their guy for injured before hand. Understandable but no one called to tell us and no one called to reschedule. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Then when we got a new time set the guy arrived really early and pulled paint and dry wall off our wall when pulling his large vacuum hose downstairs. We now need to redo that wall as there is paint and chunks missing ... Very displeased. I do not recommend!!!!!

The good : Staff is polite and they wear boot covers and put up corner guards as well as a floor mat . The Bad: They do not do a good job for what they are actually here to do. All the vents are supposed to be sealed before putting the system under negative pressure . This is what I got. I ran around the house fixing this as they went to cover the vent fully. I could easily tell they were not vacuuming the entire duct but rather the first 5 or 6 feet of duct Additionally, they did not wear their own respirators and filled my house with airborne dust. I had two HEPA filters I put on full blast as soon as they left and my lungs felt not the best. FYI: this service was paid for under a different name than my own.

They were able to complete the work in question, they also advised of some additional work I may need on my furnace (which was something their team couldn't do) - I appreciated this as it certainly wasn't a money-grab on their end as they advised they wouldn't be able to fix the issue, just that they noticed it and suggested I get it looked at. On top of providing great service and pricing, they also followed up with a call the next day to ensure I was still happy with everything. Not worth the money, they go around and advertise like crazy yet do the bare minimum of cleaning. They don't touch or move even a single thing and work around it. Many of our vents remained uncleaned because they didn't bother picking up and moving something as small as a empty garbage bin or lamp and also, no improvement in air quality what so ever.

Mostly very good, but they did not tell me they needed a garbage bag, so just emptied one of mine. Also, had to request one of the men to put on mask to come close to me. I was very disrespected today by the Alberta Furnance Cleaning Technician and would not recommend their services. They ended up not charging me anything, but I was left with damages and very upset. As per their website, "drop sheets, moving blankets, corner guards and register covers are used as necessary.” They had no respect for my flooring, walls, or door. The hosing was just drug across causing marks in the wood of my door frame. Further, again as per their website, "Every home is unique and it is very important that your tech specialist examine your situation so they can proceed with the safest and best approach to your individual furnace cleaning and air duct cleaning requirements. Once the inspection is complete your Alberta Furnace Cleaning Tech specialist will carefully explain the work that will be performed before it is done." However, this didn’t happen and I was disappointed that it wasn’t until everything was set up and the large tubing was hanging on my wall, that the technician comes to me and says “you also have to pay extra to clean your AC coil or all of this is for nothing.” That leaves the customer in an unfair position with no real choice. When I booked this appointment, it was clear that I had an AC unit and I even enquired about whether Alberta Furnaces service AC units at the time of booking. I feel this should have been discussed with me at that time. Later in the day, I noticed that one of the vent covers looked dirty around the screw holes, so I went to wipe them off. He had damaged and stripped the screw, broke it off in the wall and then just drilled through the vent to secure it. This botch job gives me absolutely no trust in any of their work! Further, the technician mansplained how to use a thermostat I have been using for 4 years. This experience was awful.

Very responsive as soon as I called I received a quote and I was booked in quite fast once I chose to go ahead with them. The crew was exceptional, very mindful of floors walls etc. Used blankets and window access to run hoses as needed so they wouldn't mark walls or floors. I really appreciated that and did not have to ask. Secondly they were efficient and fast, and explained everything to me. As well as discussing any items that I did not need and/or anything that was additional to quote, before doing the work, so no surprises!! Only variances from quoted price was number of vents in my home and that was because I missed some when I counted. After completing job everything was cleaned up, including excess dust near vents. They also went through anything that they found and a few other items such as humidifier, as it required a new filter. I had no clue no one ever explained the unit to me before. They helped explain what it needed and where to get it! This was above and beyond their scope of work and I was very appreciative of the information!!! Their pricing was midline it was not the cheapest quote nor the highest. They were recommended to me and the quality and service was definitely worth every dollar!!!

The techs that came out were awesome. It didn't take all that long for them to finish the job. From what I could see they were very proficient and did good work. The extra check performed on the furnace was appreciated. The one thing I didn't enjoy about the service was how the appointment/time they were going to show up was handled. I'm okay with having windows for service (half a day) but to be called early in the morning the day of for the window they would show up is very inconvenient. This company books at least a week out from the appointment and should be able to give a smaller window, at least a few days before the day of, so that people can plan their day. Other than that detail I'm happy with the work completed.

We are very happy with the thorough cleaning of our 2 furnaces. They showed us new filter options that have a 15 year warranty that you can maintain by cleaning every 3 months easily with a hose, or in the sink. Rather than replacing cheap disposable filters every 3 months, we opted for these new cleanable ones and the air feels much cleaner. They capture the finer dust. My only complaint would be that the company could give a solid arrival time. They gave us a one and a half hour window the morning of, but it would be better if they could give us an exact arrival time. Here’s a pic of the filters we bought. Pricey at $189 each but we liked the 15 year warranty.

I have used this company 3 times. I usually use them every 2 years. They do a great job and the technicians are friendly. However, I was upset with them for charging for cleaning the basement vents in the drop down ceiling. They put the wand in the vent for literally 5 seconds to clean it and they charge $13 per vent. This does NOTHING to clean the vent. I can understand them charging for upstairs vents as they actually put the rotary brush in pretty deep. But it's ridiculous to charge $13 per vent for my 4 basement vents, it's absolutely unnecessary. No word of a lie, the tech used the wand for barely 5 seconds for each of the 4 vents, and it did nothing. I was watching the whole time, and he barely placed it in the vent. I asked for a refund and they wouldn't oblige. They have a Total Service Guarantee where they offer 100% refund if you are not satisfied. I only want a refund on the 4 vents cause it's a totally ridiculous charge and does nothing, and I was not satisfied because that wand did nothing for my basement vents. I don't even want them to clean the basement vents but they don't give you that choice. I want a refund for those vents and they wouldn't honour it. Until they honour their Total Service Guarantee and refund me for the basement vents (for each of their 3 visits) my rating will remain at a 3. Update: 3/9/21 - I reached out to Alberta Furnace Cleaning at the number mentioned below and worked out a resolution with them. I'm glad to see them take my concern more seriously and have adjusted my rating to a 4.

We recently had a horrible experience with Alberta Furnace Cleaning. They are unorganized and not thorough. We booked them to clean the furnace ducts and dryer vent of a condo that we purchased but had not moved into yet. It was explained at the time of booking that the dryer was located on the 3rd floor. When they arrived to do the work, we were informed that they couldn’t do anything with the dryer vent because their technicians are not equipped with ladders. After they had completed their work, we removed the return air vent covers to paint and found a bunch of fluff and hair on the inside of the vent. Their explanation was that they don’t always remove the vents to clean the return air system. How on earth can the return air system be cleaned properly if the vent covers aren’t removed?? They said last week that they would send out a technician to inspect and clean the return air system again. They phoned at 7:00am this morning (first communication of the rebooking) to say they will be there between 8 and 9. What a joke!

No such procedure is specified on your website. The technician had to explain why there was necessity to perform such task. We suggest that you incorporate this procedural information on your website so the technicians do not have to be burdened explaining it to customers leaving them with dilemma if to continue with the job or not.

At one point one of the service workers came into my office to clean out the vent (he was wearing ear covers); I was working from home (which I had told him) and he proceeded with cleaning the vent, making a very, very loud noise. At no time was I forwarned about this. After they had left, I noticed that one vent cover was left off the vent and the (laundry) room that houses my furnace was a mess (dust etc everywhere). Today Dec.23rd I had my HVAC cleaned by AB Furnace, the guys left before my Furnace kicked in. I put the heat back up, and the Furnace didn't kick in. I called them back and they returned after 1hr and ensured me they will not leave me stranded at -15C with no heat. Once they arrived, they couldn't figure it out, their guys and Office staff (Alysia) told me to find my own "preferred" company to repair it and if it's their fault I should call them back. I asked if they even had an affiliate company they deal with, and they said "No, sorry". My brother called them as well (because he booked his cleaning the same day as me) and they told him, the Pilot light is broken on her Furnace. I don't even have a pilot light, it's an ignitor that I have. Long story short, it's the night before Christmas Eve, ALberta Furnace Company left me stranded without any support or help after wrecking the sensor on my Furnace. This all happened 2hrs ago, it's frustrating that a company with such service continues to be in business. If you plan to do business with Alberta Furnace Cleaning, know you're doing it at your OWN RISK!

It was disappointing to talk to a representative on the phone, have him tell me that I did not need my dryer vent done due to its location and then have the workers just do the vent anyways without asking. More disappointing was the replacement of the air filter. I’m glad I checked because my furnace uses a 20x25x5 filter. The workers just placed a 20x25x1 filter in and called it a day... the filter wouldn’t have even done anything as it was leaning over in the furnace. Basically, don't trust this company's inspection of your furnace, hire a licensed HVAC company instead. I had them come in to clean the vents and inspect the furnace after my Nest told me that my furnace was "short cycling". The booking agent guaranteed me that this was all the maintenance I would need, and twice (I called back again later to confirm) I was told that the people coming to clean the furnace would help me out in figuring out the error. That was entirely wrong. The people who came to the house "inspected" the furnace and said everything was satisfactory (including the heat exchanger) and told me they weren't capable of offering any advice to me. I called a licensed HVAC company, and when they came, they immediately found a cracked heat exchanger. Had I not installed the Nest, I never would have known about this problem, and could have been left with no heat or carbon monoxide in the house when the heat exchanger finally broke. We had to buy a new furnace. You cannot trust the "inspection" this company does. I can't see myself hiring this company in the future, as I will be instead finding a company that is licensed.

I had called and booked an appointment at the end of September 2021 to which they said for the 20th November 2021 was the earliest appointment. I was given a great deal on my vents being cleaned and a coil clean of my air conditioner. They called me a number of times to verify the appointment, in which I answered with a yes. I stayed in, moved furniture so the guys could have clear access, my 2 hour window came and went and no phone call. I called them asking what’s happening they said the guys are delayed. So I never received my cleaning, never received a call saying they would be late and when I asked to be scheduled for another date they gave me the 18th December…..ummmmm nope, when I said it was unacceptable to be kept waiting without a phone call I got an apology and that was it, I said ‘do you provide compensation’ to which they replied ‘I can give you an additional $20’ …..ummmmmm I stayed in to get the house ready, stayed to answer the calls and stayed within my window given, my time is worth more that $20 discount. I will NEVER use this company ever again!!!!!! NOT IMPRESSED.

My duct cleaning was thorough. Even though this house has had two cleanings before, they took the time to remove the construction material in the vents and furnace. I heard a bunch of debris fall out of the central ventilation. With the cleaning, my IAQ went from about 89 to 70. So I would recommend them at least once for a new house. I asked if I could see the material they collected from the vents, but it wasn't possible. However, I would love to have this option, even if it costed extra.

I had an appointment scheduled for Saturday. In The E-Mail they send you, they say that they could be there between 8-5pm and they will call you between 7-10:30am to confirm your window for your appointment. So your already up and kinda waiting for there call and they magically call at 10:30am and give me a 12'00-2:00pm window and the Lady on the phone didn't seem all that nice at all. So 2:15pm rolls around and no phone call or nothing, just wasted my day off basically, so I called and cancelled and went on with what was left of my day. You would think that a company that big could let you know the day before that they are coming in the morning or afternoon at least. What a Joke and a waste of time and I booked my app a month ago. Not Impressed.

The Tech's who came to both my personal residence and a rental property, were very nice and extremely informative. Alot of times people to try to push extra sales on you, HOWEVER with this company and the staff I did not find that at all! The guys that came to the house were amazing. Very polite, professional and respectful. With everything going on they went through a covid protocol and I was very please with the service form them. The office staff was great when I booked my appointment. I was told they would call between 8 and 9 am to confirm the window they would be coming. I didn’t receive that call until 10:30 and when they called they were very short and the lady hung up on me while I was still talking. Not impressed as I had some questions, but the guys were able to assist me. It’s a good thing the guys were so amazing as they are what would bring me back to use this company.
