Mohamed and Michael did a wonderful, very clean job. the air in the house seems a lot cleaner now. I have one suggestion, though. It was very important, to get a no mess job , that the paper register covers on the vents didn't slide off. I helped a bit by adjusting the covers as needed during the process. How about putting a larger magnet on the registers, not in the cleaning process yet, on the paper covering the register to stop them from sliding around? An even better solution would be to create permanent register covers that are light, and have magnetic properties with them built in. It would save Acclaimed from having messy jobs, where the homeowner has to vacuum everywhere afterwards. As it was, it took me about 2 minutes to vacuum around the furnace, but nowhere else needed it. Thanks Mohamed and Michael for a great job!

I used Acclaimed for vent cleaning. They were very professional and showed up with indoor shoes to wear and kept their outdoor shoes out...very considerate... first thing they did was fully explain to me how the pricing structure works so that no hidden costs appear like the other vent cleaner guys claim with their pricing structure. the work was thorough, quick, clean, and they spent enough time prepping the work before starting to ensure all the vents were closed while others were being worked out. on top of things, 2 days later I started hearing a whistle in my vents. this has nothing to do with the vent cleaning as the covers were the cause since they vibrated with the excess wind now going through. they sent out a tech immediately and had him adjust my vents in a way to eliminate the whistle free of charge...this was not even part of their work, but they did it and didn't even question cost. absolutely recommend this company for Vent Cleaning. in the future, I may also consider them for Furnace or AC related work. head's up though, the free filer is only 1" thick, which needs to be replaced after 1 month.....that was a surprise for me :) but it's okay.

We've used Acclaimed for the last 10 years for our annual furnace maintenance and have always been very pleased with the service from Ed Patenaude, particularly. Once or twice we used a different company, but they would take one look at our original 1979 Lennox and immediately start a sales pitch. Ed never tried selling us a new furnace; he just did what we'd hired them to do. So when we decided it was time to replace the still-functioning furnace with a new one, we called Acclaimed. And their install people did not disappoint. Excellent work, great team, great service.

Have been using this company for years. Had a new A/C put in last year, new furnace just last month. Couldn't have been happier. Was a two day install due to an older house and some workarounds but the crew was so professional and didn't go one penny over budget despite lots of extra work. Made sure we had heat before they left the first day. Even the estimators here aren't pushy and said I could probably wait but I wanted the security of a new furnace in case of future travel. The owner, Keven was very timely in notifying myself and setting up a date to come by and assess the property and take measurements for the most appropriate AC for our home. The guys whom installed the unit were very dedicated and took the time to install the unit properly. The only feedback was some miscommunication with my husband (i.e. knowing about a "charge" that had to be done). However, all of our questions were always answered in a timely and courteous manner. My wife and I used Acclaimed to look at our A/C unit in 2019. We got the C team that day and had to also eat a $300 service call. We recommend you get a second opinion on any work that you are quoted on, especially if any new installation is involved. I was at work when their service tech Wayne was at the house. After four hours of diagnosing he said we needed a new unit. The quoted price for that was $5,000. This recommendation proved to be wrong and i, we wonder how many units, both furnace and A/C in homes have been unnecessarily replaced in clients homes over the years? We just had Tom from Romaniuk repair our unit for $1500 in July plus another service call, but it is what it is. We are still way ahead dollars wise. The service our extended family received in the past before this particular situation on the heating side was excellent. The tech who did all that work does not seem to be with Acclaimed anymore. Are we disappointed, Yes. Keven says their past records are somewhat buried and they are slow to refund the service call amount which now really seems to be the way most businesses operate. It has taken to long to resolve this and we are moving on. Another life lesson.

Our furnace wasn't working properly so I called this company to trouble shoot on April 12 and fix the furnace. the furnace had the same issue even couple of hours after they left. we paid close to 200 $ for service which was worthless as the issue never got fixed.I also got lectured on the phone with the manager about they can't fix the furnace problem as they don't know what is wrong with the furnace. very disappointed with them in general and I wish google had 0 star option too.

We became loyal clients of Acclaimed! when they replaced our broken furnace and decaying water heater on one of the coldest days of 2011. Since then, we have used their services for furnace cleaning/maintenance and have always received professional service. Most recently (January 2020), we ran into some trouble after a major cold snap and our furnace. It had been operating perfectly throughout a -30 and below cold snap, essentially running non stop for over a week. I contacted the service department and had a tech arrive within an hour of my initial service call. Long story short, our flame sensor had worn out after almost 10 years of use, which our service tech, Wayne, said was very impressive. He replaced the sensor promptly and also took the time to do some preventative maintenance on the furnace. I wouldn't hesitate recommend Acclaimed! services to my friends and neighbours.

Purchased a air condition from them back in 2014. Pleasure to deal with, but installation was a headache! They have some unlicense kid drill a hole on my house and cut the power line. They came back to fixed it couple of days later and gave us a red robins gift card. But what worse was they only fill that hole with some random foam pieces. I later found a big puddle of water in the basement after a storm, that came from that hole! I call them they promise to come fix it but only with more random foam. Next year 2015 they call again to sell me some cleaning service, I asked them for discount and fill up that hole with spray foam, they promised to do that but I checked after it was filled with more random foam pieces. So I just fixed myself. Anyway, the cleaning service was cost more then quoted and the hole was not properly patched. And thank you for the sales call again to reminded me the hassle. Although it’s been few years now but I thought people should know and you guys can improve from your mistakes.

Pre-shift Field-level Hazard Assessments were conducted to ensure all health and safety hazards were identified, rated and controlled. Wall corner protectors and orange cones were used to warn staff of equipment on the floor. Absoluately great company. My wifes allergies were bothering her and we realiazed we have never had our ducts cleaned. Called acclaimed and they booked an appointment just a few days away. Adam C and his crew showed up and were very nice and explained what they would be doing, they were very nice to my dogs. Clean, professional and very pleasant to have around. The vents and furnace look good as new and after they were able to close the door, requested my large dog be let out of his kennel so they could say hello. Bought a house last October and part of the conditions for final sale was that the furnace be repaired. Acclaimed replaced the inducer motor and repaired the furnace exhaust. Hasn't even been a year and the inducer motor started vibrating pretty bad and rattling quite loudly. The furnace has since stopped running all together. I contacted Acclaimed to inquire about a warranty on the inducer motor and was told that there was no parts or labour warranty remaining but that they would schedule a service call for +$198 to diagnose the issue. I questioned what the normal warranty on a part like that would be and did not receive any further response. I've been informed by other HVAC techs that the inducer motor should come with a one year warranty. No reason I should have to spend over $1000 to replace a component that isn't even a year old.

He said yes and was very informative throughout the procedure. I had no idea the amount of service that was done on our furnace and why each item was so important. I also had no idea of how they cleaned our main floor ducks and the basement ceiling ducts, plus our laundry dryer exhaust pipe. Acclaimed's sales person Chris came to our house, inspected the furnace room and told us flat out that they would not install an air conditioning system because our older furnace's plenum was too short to allow air to flow the full length of cooling coils. He said it was the second home he's seen in a week with that problem, and that the other homeowner then showed him the 2 other quotes he's received from Acclaimed's competition. He said the competition's installations wouldn't end up being more than about 40% efficient. So, my take=away is that Acclaimed and its people are people you can trust. They know what they're doing, and they'd rather tell you the truth than make a quick buck and run.

Repair tech arrived on time, tech thought it was something to do with an ecobee thermostat grumbled about technology, didn't want to wait to see the furnace actually fail, didn't think I could read the code on the furnace correctly. Tech replaced a temperature probe. Furnance failed again after he left. Tech didn't want to come back the same day because he was booked and it would be after 5. Also didn't want to come back Saturday to try to fix it because, you know its the weekend. Turns out it the issue was a blocked vent in the kitchen which I found because the tech never checked the vents because he was in such a hurry to get to the next job. Will I use Acclaimed again? Probably not, if I wanted someone to come over and natter about technology, not fix it, then assume I can't read a chart, I could just have my parents over and save the $300.

Acclaimed came by today (service tech named Ed, w.o.#19676) to inspect, recharge, & service our home's A/C unit. Overall very positive experience. Ed was friendly and answered a number of questions I had. He filled/recharged the coolant and also re-leveled the A/C unit outside, as it had become off-kilter due to some ground shifting beside my house. Results are very positive - cooler air blowing and also reduced noise from the A/C unit outside. I'll definitely have Acclaimed back again.

We decided that the summer of 2014 would be our last summer without air conditioning in our Parkview bungalow. It made no sense to install a/c on our old furnace so we opted to install a new high efficiency HVAC system - and a new hot water tank as well. We obtained 3 proposals and selected Acclaimed! because of the advice they gave us, the equipment offered and the fact that they are a family owned Edmonton business. Acclaimed did what they said they would do when they promised to do it for the agreed price; and they did it cheerfully and with no hassles. Small issues that arose during install were explained and corrected with no delays or added cost. The new system works perfectly; it is quiet and was neatly installed with minimal disruption to our household. HVAC equipment is easy to come by - there are suppliers all over town. Top class professional service is harder to find but that is what we got from Acclaimed! We recommend them highly

After assessing the situation and making a diagnosis, he then took the time to explain the problem, the steps to rectify it, time needed and cost involved. We used this company 4 months ago I had a free inspection today from Alberta furnace today they said it looked like it hadn't been done for over a year! Apart from that while acclaimed were carrying out the service they damaged the control panel the heating no longer worked to add insult to injury they denied they had done so. The crew from Acclaimed arrived approximately half an hour after their call to let us know that they were on their way. When they arrived they worked efficiently and professionally to inspect and clean our furnace, humidifier and dryer vent. We had our ducts cleaned by Acclaimed in November. The appointment scheduling process was easy and they showed up on time, as agreed. After the ducts were cleaned, the technician noticed that our condensate pump was broken and suggested we pick up another. I was happy to hear they had access to my model of pump and that saved me calling around on my own time, trying to locate a specific model number. She coordinated access for their techs and provided me with documentation in advance so I could let them know about potential asbestos risks (old ductwork) to avoid potential additional charges. We hired Acclaimed for a very tricky furnace replacement, replacing two 38 year old furnaces in a very small space in an older home, plus adding air conditioning as well. Had our furnace cleaned today...which was great...until they were finished and they couldn’t start my furnace again. Then the techs tried telling us that it was our fault. Neither myself or my husband (or anyone in our house) touched the furnace, ever! It then took another 6hrs waiting for the guy to fix the problem of the first two guys. The ones I pulled up all had great reviews but I chose Acclaimed as they were telling highest rated. Most of the reviews mentioned the staff, which is huge in my books. Well the reviews were spot on! The furnace was diagnosed quickly and the technician told me the price for repair. It was very reasonable. The problem was promptly rectified and I was back up and running with a toasty house. This is a great company if you are thinking of/talking about getting work done without every actually doing it. We bought a house in the fall and our home inspector recommended Acclaimed after the inspection showed clogged furnace ducts. It took about 6 weeks for us to get an appointment, which I think is normal for that season. When the technician arrived, they pointed out a patch of asbestos tape on the furnace that the inspector had missed, and they couldn't do the duct cleaning for safety reasons. That sounded fair. The technician told me that because our inspector had missed it, I wouldn't be charged the fee for the call out. After some texting back and forth and sending photos of the asbestos to Acclaimed, they confirmed it looked like a job they could take care of but needed to send someone in person to assess it. The closest appointment was two months away. I waited two months and booked that afternoon off work. When no one arrived, I called the company and found out that my appointment was never entered in the system (in spite of me having it in writing/text). I had waited two months and booked time off for an appointment that never existed. To their credit, they did re-book fairly quickly, and someone came out the following week. I almost missed that appointment as well because the technician went to the wrong address, and I had to leave for work. He had a quick look and told me he would send me an appraisal for the work to be done, but that the cost would include the initial fee for the visit in the fall when we first found out about the asbestos (despite being told I wouldn't be charged, and despite me missing an afternoon of work for a non-existent appointment). It has now been a month since his visit. I'm not sure how long it normally takes to receive an appraisal for a 30 x 30 cm piece of asbestos tape, but I guess I expected to hear something by now. I have never had to work so hard to give a company my business. From all the other great reviews, I feel like we might be those customers who fell between the cracks (repeatedly). I will mention that they technicians who entered my house were polite and professional. It's just that nothing has come from months worth of phone calls, appointments, and texts. We are now heading into spring no further ahead than when we first moved in.

I called and booked Acclaimed for a furnace cleaning, technical service inspection, and humidifier installation at a rental property. I spoke with Joanne, who was extremely supportive and was so helpful in coordinating scheduling with the tenant and myself. She was able to do the booking within 2 days of the call for when it worked with us. Joanne was so helpful that I started considering writing a positive review for the company as it is such a rarity to receive such good customer service today. I followed up with my tenant who had glowing reviews for the Acclaimed personnel. She said they took the time to explain everything they were doing, showed her how to do proper maintainence on the furnace and the hot water tank, and performed a quality install on the humidifier. She stated that she has dealt with several furnace companies in the past and this company was far and away the best to deal with.

After the installation was complete they ran through everything with my wife ( I was out of town) and explained/showed her how everything works. Alberta Furnace Cleaning was booked up and earliest they could come was 8 days... but not Acclaimed! These guys came the next day and cleared that stubborn clog. Very poor customer service. We had them replace a fan in our furnace and while they did the replacement, they broke another part, which they said would not affect it's function. It wouldn't have, except the tech left a big chunk of metal by the pilot light, so it kept going out. When we phoned back about it, we got a lot of run around, and they wanted to charge another $179 For a service call! We ended up finding the problem and fixing it ourselves. Would definately not recommend this company...high prices with poor follow through!

I really appreciate the professional approach and work of Acclaimed for a recent furnace malfunction. Ed was able to ascertain the problem quickly---a corrupted circuit board---and ordered the part and had it installed the next day. And for the first time in ten years the furnace works properly, meaning that the heat cycle comes on in the right sequence of fans and blowers and heat. Before that another company said that it was normal for the main blower to come on first, stop, then the small venting fan to come on and clear out "fumes" and then call for heat and finally the main blower to come on. Not so, and Acclaimed knew that and corrected the situation. And I'm a happy customer. And I like the fact that I was given a clear and meaningful explanation of what was taking place.

The vent pipe was long and went through a bedroom, and there was an issue with it, so they came back and fixed it no problem and free. They stand by their work. I also was buying a condo and had to have the furnace inspected as there was no permit. The seller would not budge on the condition removal date which was that same day. Acclaimed was booked that day, but they arranged for someone to come by after hours for a full inspection, and we would not have bought the property without their inspection. He kept to schedule and worked efficiently to clear a dead nesting bird from a furnace duct and to restart my furnace. He gave me practical suggestions how to stop birds from trying to nest in the venting to my heater and furnace. 'Acclaimed kept me into the arranged date and let me know the progress on the job by phone, so I didn't lose work. My water heater should have worked but wasn't working. Ed, the service manager, systematically worked the problem and fixed it. The solution was certainly not obvious and without his experience and persistence it would not have been found. Sucked. They called the morning of the appointment to ask if it was alright to move the appointment later in the day. I said no because we live in a townhouse and their truck would block ALL of the traffic when people were coming home from work. They said, ok they would be there at the scheduled time. I booked off work and waited at home. At the appointment time they called to say that they would not be there until later and so I had no choice except to cancel. They knew from the first call in the morning that they were not going to show per the appointment. Why make me book a day off of work and lose the money? I can't deal with a company who knowingly lie to me.

I called Acclaimed to come inspect my AC because it was not blowing cold air. The technician came and did his check-up and said that the capacitor is bad and needs to be changed. I asked for the price and he quoted me for $380+taxes! I asked him and how much is the part he said likely $20. I agreed to have the repair done since I was quoted on the phone that any repair is charged by the hour for $120/hr + a call out fee of $60. I thought this is a 3 hour job then!!! Anyways, the technician replaced the capacitor in less than 20 min and when I looked online, this seemed to be a very straight forward fix. No other maintenance or repairs were done! He literally spent 40 min in my house!! I was extremely shocked and asked for a detailed invoice to see how much labor and material I was charged! and they send me the invoice saying "the capacitor needed to be changed, and quoted the client for $380". By the way, I emailed the company back to inquire about this and got no response!

The Owner of Acclaimed responded very promptly to my complaint on Monday and due to lack of communication between their HVAC Technician with me, they refunded the extra $200 amount charged to me, which I feel is very professional on part of the Owner. Lousy customer service, booked 5 days in advance for 8am-12Noon. Electrician turned up at 1:30pm. Was told upfront a total charge of $200 plus extra for any parts installations related to Thermostat to Furnace. Electrician said we are not responsible for fixing or functioning of my Nest Thermostat issues. Electrician said he reconnected one low voltage wire which was wrongly connected to the Furnace along with one wire which should not have been connected to the Thermostat. and said he cannot check if Airconditiing is working because outside temperature is 11 degrees. He said if I want to check the Aircondtioner in summer then it will be a fresh charge. No parts were replaced. I used Nest Technical Support Telephone to fix the Nest Thermostat reconnection issue for free. I was charged a total of $415.80 by by Acclaimed Heating, which is a complete Rip-off as they had told me upfront charge of $200. No parts were replaced or installed. I will never recommend this Acclaimed Heating company to anyone. It is the first and last time I have used them. Based on my personal experience, it is always better to get an Electrician from Home Depot Service who are very quick to respond and are very efficient and cost effective, with excellent customer service skills.

Kevin, Ed and staff have been great to work with, they are hands on and lead yo uthrough the process step by step, with updates and if any delays etc. They accepted doing our garage heater in July and I asked to have A/C installed too as an after thought given the hot temperatures we had this summer. Recently we did something we had been neglecting to do for years. We got our furnace ducts clean. Honestly, it was just one of those things that we kept saying we would get around to doing and then sure enough some kind of financial or family emergency would come off and we would put it off another year. After hearing Ashley speak often on the benefits and safety reason for having it done we decided to make it a priority. With 2 young children in our house and 2 cats and a dog adding to the accumulating dust it didn’t seem right to put it off any longer. After an efficient cleaning there was only one tiny hiccup where there was a little bit of debris that was missed during the cleanup. We got our Furnace duct and dryer Vent serviced last April...Techinician Tanner and his assistant came in on time...they did their thing on an effcicient manner. They cleaned up after wards and they did the check on the Furnace with a report. Which some cheaper companies doesn't do at all. Their pricing is competitive so its not really pricier than others but you get more quality work.

We had Acclaimed to come in about three years ago to fix a furnace that was not working and spent a little over $1000 getting a gas valve replaced. Recently, the unit stopped working when we were trying to turn ventilation on so we reached out to Acclaimed to book for another appointment. Upon finishing the call, we went to switch off the furnace (which is in a utility closet) and noticed a faint gas smell and so we immediately contacted ATCO. ATCO was able to send out a technician later that evening and notified us that there was indeed a gas leak. The technician from ATCO then inquired about the most recent servicing on the furnace, and we told him that the only service we've had was a gas-valve change from 2017 with Acclaimed.The technician then proceeded in telling us that the gas valve installation was not done properly such that the leak is coming from the furnace line. It is absolutely unacceptable to have made such a careless mistake as it was explained to us by ATCO that it was a fairly easy check and that it should have been done. Reached out to the management, explained the whole situation via email/call, management apologized for us having a gas leak and said there's nothing they can do to help us. Well, too bad we can't be helped, but I hope this review can help someone else.

My experince for the replacement of humidifier was excellent. Technician Ed come with work order number 16230 and replace the humidifier in a vert tight space which looks impossible. He run the seperate duct and redon ethe wiring as well. Overall very good experience.

All I had to do was go away for a week and, sure enough, the the temperature drops, the snow flies and the furnace crashes. We had Acclaimed for duct cleaning, furnace and humidifier installation last week. Cost is not the least expensive one, but pertaining best value in terms of service and product in our opinion. Overall experience is great and we would recommend the company to others. We had issue with duct cleaning as only Powerwhip was applied in lieu of Powerwhip & Rotor as stated by the salesperson as well as the contract. Once the company heard our concerns, a second team was sent right away and reworked until we completely satisfied. The furnace install team was as great as I could expect.
