Got the quote, agreed on the price and booked them for the service 3 weeks ago. Called them couple days before the appointment day, just to confirm everything, but booking agent said they mixed up the addresses and now we can't do anything. On top of that, their manager blamed me that i gave them wrong address and hung up on me. I do have their quote with proper address though, but wondering how a manager can lie and blame the customer for their mix up. Really disappointed.

Had a very bad experience . Technician did not know how the furnace I have works and told me that my furnace is not working for heat . He forgot to close couple of holes in the venting pipe and I had to remind him as he was about to sit in his truck. System was not checked after cleaning and when I started for cool , it did not start and I realized main switch was off for cleaning and never turned back on . Billing discrepancy , I was told $8 per vent and he was charging $10. I had to show him my quote to get it corrected . I did not feel technician knew what he was doing as he did not seem to flow the cutting and fixing of pipes smoothly . Cleaning work was also ok . I would go somewhere else next time .

I called Power Vac for two reasons, the first is that the ductwork wasn't cleaned in the house for over 40 years and I was finding little dust bunnies on the upper level of the house. The second reason they had an offer in the saver flyer that comes to the house once a week and saw the add to save some money to get it done. I called a few other places to see what price the others quoted me and after that I went with Power Vac they set me up with a time I needed, the workers were very nice and explained everything witch was nice, they were quick did what they needed to do and left. I am happy with the service and would recommend Power Vac to anyone who needs it done.

I had a good overall experience with them. Communication was great. The tech they sent out was friendly and did a good job as far as I can tell. The only thing I would suggest to anyone getting the service is to make sure they see all the vents and get them all covered. I think he missed one vent in my daughter's walk-in closet, and there was a lot of dirt and stuff on her floor afterward. Also, it would be helpful if they (or you) cover some items in the basement with a tarp or something. The area under the ducts got really covered in dust and dirt, including my washer and dryer, which luckily had the lid shut. I had this happen with another company at my old house, and there was a lot of gross stuff all over baby equipment and toys. So cover it up if you can. Otherwise, it was a positive experience.

Will definitely call for the next time we need the ducts cleaned again. He also said the company is rebranding larger fleet, new company name will be National Duct hence the new trucks.

I had a bad experience with another company and PowerVac came in for the win. I highly recommend using them. They were very thorough. Gabriel Nduwayo made this experience much better. He provided before and after photos, walked me through the process, and provided me with ongoing updates. I highly recommend this company, and avoid using small independent companies. They can sometimes turn on the vac, but may not be sucking anything out of your ducts/vents.

posted on the correct site now Today we had the pleasure of Kyle A. Performing our duct cleaning service. Its not to Often that I say this I AM IMPRESSED. Kyle showed up on time was approachable and answered all my questions professionally. Through Kyle’s assessment of our vents and ducts, the system in our home was long overdue for a cleaning. I was truthfully dumbfounded at the dirt and dust found in our system; it is for this reason the service took a little bit longer than anticipated to perform. We are now as of this post just a few short hrs past cleaning and we have a noticeable difference in air quality. Included with the initial estimate was a dryer vent cleaning I am glad we spent the extra on this, as the amount of buildup within this system could have resulted in a fire, the dryer is now running substantially cooler in comparison to before this service was preformed. About Kyle A. what an awesome guy, as an executive with a publicly traded company I can't stress the importance of excellent communication and being personable, this is a trait not found today and I'm happy to see it in people like Kyle. Given the times we live in today I felt extremely comfortable having Kyle in my home, my son liked him as well my wife, but above all my dog Dexter liked him. please do your best to retain staff like Kyle as not many exist like him. I called Power Vac, as the person doing our home reno, Wayne Jackson recommended them. It was a Saturday and I believe I spoke with the owner, Darwyn Mc Dowell on the phone. Now my home was built in 1927 and still had the old style vents. No problem for Darwyn. Our ductwork had not been cleaned in 18 years. Again no issue. We were in the middle of this COVID-19 thing, no issue there either. Darwyn made the appointment, gave me the call prior to coming. The guy he sent was a little early no issue the there. He did an amazing job and the family and Wayne noticed a difference that day. It was incredible. Darwyn followed up with me after the job was done. He wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the work that was done. Absolutely I was very happy. Now here's the part you may not believe. I said to Darwyn can you put me on an annual schedule as I don't want to forget. He said there was no need to do this every year. Just to give them a call about a week before I want it done and he was good. He could have easily just taken my money every year. Integrity is something that's hard to come by these days unfortunately. But this guy does it right and it's reflected in his team. Oh I will be calling every two years and only using this company. When I emailed for a quotation they were courteous enough to ask if it was okay to call to discuss additional details for accurate pricing. No mess, no fuss, came with gloves and a mask, took his shoes off when he entered my house too. Showed me my filter afterwards and it was horrible, definitely needed cleaning. Jeremy called to advise of his arrival time. Upon arriving he introduced himself in a very polite and professional manner. He explained the procedure from beginning to end, and was thorough with his work. I would highly recommend Power Vac to any one looking to have their duct system cleaned. They also cleaned the dryer vent, and was amazed to see how much was removed from the vent. First time user of any duct cleaning service. After so many calls from outside Canada offering the service being so clearly a scam I found Power Vac absolutely fantastic from the first phone call to Jennifer to completion of the work by Kyle Atkinson. The cost was below their estimate (I counted 2 plates that were not registers) the time was longer than they estimated because Kyle goes above and beyond in terms of the services to the customer and the work included a couple of challenges that Kyle overcame at no additional cost. I would strongly recommend getting Power Vac to clean your ducts if it is more than 4 years since it was done, or you have had reno work or if the system is not reaching all your registers. Our reason was the latter and what a difference Power Vac (Kyle's) work has done.
