Booked Marc to clean my carpets. After reading other reviews I made it a point of telling him I was on the second floor of the building and there was no elevator, which he indicated was fine. He arrived, only to tell me he couldn't do the job because of the stairs! Incredibly unprofessional, a complete waste of time, had to hire someone else...Who by the way was cheaper, and had zero issues with the stairs! Should advertise that he works in single level buildings only.
Edit - Added following a threatening call from Marc for slander. Slander as defined in the dictionary is making false statements. No part of my above review is untrue. I have also invited Marc back to my building so he can count the stairs given his need to inflate that fact. Depending on the entrance used, there are 21 and 23 stairs respectively. If ANY business has safety concerns that limits their ability to move equipment up stairs, so be it. But it is their job as a service provider to notify customers of those limitations, and ask questions about the job they are doing if there are concerns. No discussion around "safety" occurred while Marc was
onsite.
Edit #2 - Marc has changed his response to this review (and the one on yelp) over 50! times in the past three days (I have the emails to prove it). Initially indicating he works on floors that are up to 50 stairs, but changed that after I pointed out (and sent pictures to prove) that mine were 21 stairs...or 23 depending on the entrance used. Marc's unprofessionalism is clear in his lack of respect for confidential client information given he feels it's appropriate to post my personal address. This speaks volumes! I have added the pictures of my stairs below since Marc feels the need to continue to escalate his exaggerations and obsess over this review. The most recent lie from Marc is that I'm a competitor and making up a conversation that never happened (the texts prove that) and that I yelled in his face? (the contractor that was in my home when Marc arrived could certainly speak to that lie).
Reviews are part of being a service provider. Stop obsession over this one and focus on improving your business! You could start by improving your customer service skills, learning to divulge limitations to your service, and asking any questions that impact your ability to do a job. Those are pretty easy fixes.
