I have been having my carpets and other cleaning done by Steamatic for years. The service and the results have been outstanding. Punctual; reliable; competent. They have also cleaned orientals for me. First rate company.

Unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant experience with Daryl’s Total Cleaning Service. I cannot speak about his work competence, since he left my house before actually conducting the job, but I can inform about his customer service and payment terms while he was present at the property. My first face-to-face encounter with him, he exhibited unusually poor behaviour. When asked basic questions about the steps he takes to steam clean the carpets, he responded in a rude and condescending manner. I have zero knowledge about his line of work, and I need to understand what I am paying for, which is why I asked these questions. He failed to provide an official quote (scribbled numbers on a paper), he did not add GST/HST tax, and he demanded payment BEFORE service. I have had many individuals in the past conduct jobs on my properties, and he was the first who asked for money before actually doing the job. When I informed him that I will pay after service and not before, he decided to not continue with the job and left. Based on these actions, I suspected something was not right about his professionalism and intentions. I definitely do not recommend him; however, if you do choose to proceed with his services, I HIGHLY suggest you enquire about his payment terms and process of work. An individual who fails to provide simple and general information about terms and services is someone you should exercise extreme caution around.

Frustrating experience with this carpet cleaning service. I do not recommend. First of all, the tech made no attempt to follow COVID protocols in our home. No mask, no hand washing, no distancing. He did not provide his name nor would his company provide any screening info (I called after the service). Will be reporting this to public health but we had no choice but to let him go ahead as we have to hand over the keys to our place today and this was a move out carpet cleaning. Next, more problems. Their office called the day before to confirm and told me that they would accept cash or cheque— and I confirmed this, since we had not been given a specific quote. They stated again that they would confirm square footage upon arrival and give a final price at that time, so a cheque was fine. Met the tech at the house today and he demanded cash, which I didn’t have on hand (since they confirmed they would take a cheque). I still had no price quote. The tech blamed the receptionist, but still somehow made this our problem. I explained that this was an in-town move and offered my business card with the cheque— not good enough for him, and he instead suggested that we were likely to run out on the bill. Absolutely rude. Our bank is 15 minutes away, so we left to get cash and returned. Very impolite service. Will not be using again.

Great service. Daryl clearly knows a lot about indoor air quality and gave us some great tips in addition to a very professional job cleaning our ducts. He even fixed a broken flex hose at one of our intakes and fixed our furnace air filter to work more efficiently at no extra charge.

Daryl has been taking care of our carpets for about 20 years, and we have never been disappointed. He is very thorough and pays a lot of extra attention to places that need more time. We own a large dog so he comes here two or three times a year. We would never think of hiring anyone else for this service. Daryl has also done upholstery for us. One of the great things about his technique is that everything dries very quickly. During the pandemic when we have been allowed this kind of service, he has taken every precaution that needs to be taken. He's the best.

Extremely disappointed in these people. For anyone who has PETS do not call them! I have two large FRIENDLY dogs who bark in the beginning when you first enter our home (because that's what protective dogs do). They calm down after and you don't even know there here. Before these people entered my home they asked me to lock my dogs in a room. I told them their in the kennel and fine. They came in and saw for themselves and said they were fine with that. Before I knew it they were outside telling me they didn't want the job. I tried to do everything possible for these non animal lovers including putting them out back but it wasent good enough. Anyone looking for a reliable service with pets DO NOT CALL THEM! I should of listened to my gut when they first got out of the truck.

I’ve had Daryl’s clean carpets, upholstery, and ducts myself and for many clients over the years and have always found Daryl to be the consummate professional. He is very organized and very friendly. This time he cleaned my cream coloured couch, loveseat and cushions. They look like new and I’m so pleased. I had another chair that was badly stained and I had doubts that it would come clean but, thankfully, it also looks like new. I am more than happy to refer this company to anyone.

Daryl and Lucy did a good job "cleaning the carpets" with a few problems: 1. They dumped the waste water in the corner of my flowerbed and lawn, some grass dying ( I would think you should dump it on the curb of the street) 2. The doorknob to the garage got jammed, Daryl came back to "un-jam" it, but I eventually had to replace it later that day with a new one. 3. Daryl told me upon finishing that my room measurements were a little off, so the price would be (in his words) "a little more, but not much". The final bill was $75 more plus tax.

The carpets in our offices were in pretty bad shape and we had an important meeting coming up at the end of the month. We decided to try having them cleaned instead of replaced. We called Daryl's carpet and duct cleaning. They agreed the carpet was in bad shape and cautioned us that cleaning may not produce the desired result. We returned to the office about four hours later and were absolutely thrilled with what we saw. Daryl's managed to remove every stain and there was a 90% improvement the appearance of the old carpet. We highly recommend this company and will be calling them again for future cleaning.

They found some openings in our duct work that was causing energy loss and sealed these area at no addtional cost.
