Super friendly to contact. Seriously I haven't had someone make me so satisfied on a call. Turned out renter didn't have any wasp nests in the wall. They were there within a day to check. For a free quote. Do yourself a favor and call these peeps

Brandon arrived, inspected, recommended removing 4-8 feet of roofing believing there was rot thus resulting in Carpenter ant infestation. Date was set, supplies bought, he failed to show up. Blamed it on a misunderstanding. Even though discussion x 2 that he was going to send me an email with a list of required materials to purchase. Email never arrived (should have been my first clue). He never observed the hatch to gain entry to the garage roof. When I asked about spraying in there, he appeared surprised to see the 4x3 hatch door. Brought in another company. I had removed the inside ceiling panels. Surprise surprise no rotten 2x4's or plywood. They sprayed, within an hour you see the results of ant carnage. Now I have to return $250 of home depot supplies and reinstall a ceiling. Brandon is a quick, smooth talker. Now feels like a used car salesman. BE CAREFUL when hiring him from 1st Defense. Apparently the owner "head hunted him from Alberta". Owner Gerry's response was professional. I should add, Brandon advised me there was NO warranty to construction work and 3 month warranty on the spraying. The 'other company' has warrantied their work for 12 MONTHS. Needless to say, the "other company" is getting a call from my neighbours to my left and right.

At last, someone who returns calls! Tim was considerate in calling to let us know when he would be arriving, was prompt, efficient and very professional. He took care of our wasp and ant problem, thankfully, and so far no sign of them returning. Definitely would recommend 1st Defence. Thumbs up!

I wish the reviews would give you an option to add another review... i had to delete the original review... initially I was not happy with the service; however, I did receive a prompt response. The young man that came to the house the first time, arrived again and was professional, courteous and apologized for not making it back to our home. He checked the bait stations and added more bait. I am pleased with the quick response and the professionalism of the young man.

Brandon showed up to look at area where a wasps nest is, told me he would be back the next day and after several phone calls and text they never answered or came back. Very disappointing, it's now been over a week and I will move onto a different company. Wasting someone's time is not acceptable.

I have felt better about loosing money at the casino than I do about giving $300 to this company. Had them come to my home to take care of a minor problem. The guy seemed nice and confident on what needed to be done. Paid $300 for a quick job around the house, was told it’s got warranty on the work and to call back if we have the same problem in the specific amount of time and they would come back and take care of it. Problem never went away, kinda got worse. Called back and the guy said he would come back… no show. So I called back In and revived a call from a friendly guy that he was going to get the tech to call me. Tech called me told me he would call me in a few days and set something up and nothing… Called in yet again had the tech call me said he wasn’t available until Saturday, so I waited until Saturday, nothing all day so I sent a text asking if he was still coming and the tech called me and said it didn’t work that day for what he wanted to do and to call back and setup for another day. Well I tried calling twice with no call back. This company is a complete waste of money and one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a local small business. I will for sure let every single person I talk to about these types of home issues where not to go.

Wonderful company. Called back right away when I called about a small wasp problem. Came out right away and took care of the wasps even though we are a bit of a drive outside city limits. Great knowledge of their job, took the time to explain everything and were super friendly. I totally reccomend these guys and will call them again if I am ever in need of pest control in the future.

Very poor quality service, could not solve the issue , changed to Orkin Pest control and they solved my problem right away! Don't skimp out on pest control call Orkin
