Coin Laundry seems to have decent washing machines and dryers, however the night employee I encountered made the experience horrible for me. These washing machines take 35 minutes to wash but do not tell you the length of time they will take until you have started the wash cycle. The laundromat I usually frequent has a 20 minute cycle so I was unaware of the length of time I would be commiting to unfortunately. I got there at 9:28pm and loaded my first of 3 loads thinking I'd have just enough time to wash before clothes (as previously stated, my normal laundromat takes 20 minutes per load to wash). As I hit start and saw the first load was 35 minutes long, I realized I was going to be a few minutes past the closing time. I didn't see a major problem with it however I did feel bad when I first saw the length of time it was going to take. It was now about 9:35pm and no one was in sight to close up. Then a man walked in and immediately spoke in a rude and condescending way saying "we close at 10." I informed him I still had 34 minutes on my wash, and before I had a chance to apologize as I didn't realize it would put us just after 10pm, he starting saying "you have 20 minutes to do a 35 minute job. You don't see the problem here??". He persisted to act in an arrogant, unprofessional manner as I told him there was nothing I could do about the timer. I run multiple stores and work very hard to ensure my team and I give the best guest service we can. It isn't easy to please everyone, but I would never allow a member of my team to speak to a customer in such a way. I respect any business that can do well in Fort Erie, but I am highly displeased with the service I was given. Had he politely approached the situation, everyone could have had a more pleasant evening. More so, after all the noise he made over this ordeal, he was not even close to finished when I grabbed my clean laundry and left.
I will definately not be returning to this laundromat nor can I give anyone a good review on this place after the experience I had here tonight.
