Huge props to Jeff and Ed of Quality Chimney Sweep Ltd for their wicked fast service last night. We've had a hell of a few days with our oil furnace/chimney - we woke up over the weekend to the basement full of smoke after a previous roof repair sealed off the oil vent in our chimney (not even going to go into how dangerous it was, and how thankful I am we're alive and healthy). Late yesterday after visits from multiple technicians to get the furnace and roof looked at, I wanted to make sure the chimney wasn't blocked inside so we could finally turn on the furnace and have heat and hot water - every other company I called said they couldn't come until later in the week, but in rides our knight in shining armour Jeff Stoyles with some super speedy, friendly and awesome service. They wanted to make sure we were safe and warm ahead of this bad weather, and I've never been so happy to wake up to a warm house and hot shower ???? now we start the clean up of our sooty house - but at least we're warm! Thank you so much for getting to us so quickly!!

Quoted me a price on the phone of 150, then explained all I was getting for the 150 and all of the sudden it was 250 when they got to the house, said it was because I lived on salmonier line bit said nothing of the extra price in the quote, as far as I'm concerned he robbed me of 100 dollars and can do so because they own a monopoly on chimney sweeping. Also said my stove was a fail before measuring the wall and ceiling height which turned out to be ok when he finally grabbed a tape... was not impressed with what I paid for, espisally after getting a price that was almost double what I was quoted. If he had said of the extra chages when I was quoted would be a differnt story.

I called Quality Chimney Sweep Ltd just two days ago and they were able to come today, first thing in the morning. We had a fireplace on an external wall with a two story pre-fab chimney that needed cleaning. They called the day before in order to confirm the appointment. Ed and his helper, whose name I think was Jeff, showed up on time. They accessed the fireplace from inside the house and used a ladder to access the roof and the top of the chimney. In about a half hour they were in and had the job done. Ed was very knowledgeable and explained to me the best options for firewood and as a certified inspector, he told me that home insurance requires a chimney to be cleaned and inspected yearly. This makes sense but I didn’t know anything about it. The guys put cardboard around the fireplace, brought a shop vac into the house (carrying it, conscious of not making a mess), and sucked out all the ash from the fireplace. The fireplace is now clean as a whistle! Ed supplied a receipt for the $150 cleaning and inspection, and he was on his way again. There was no headache, no fuss, and no mess! I would highly recommend Quality Chimney Sweep Ltd for their service. 5-stars for cleanliness and being easy to deal with, as well!

Fast, friendly. Got the job quickly, had to come back the next day to put a cap on top of my fireplace flue. It was cold and wet but he showed up as promised! Good job
