Great service... But call center is terrible, 4 times out of 4, awful service with unhelpful agents. One hour wait. Agent hung up after he said hello. It's the only thing making me consider another company, and the only reason this is not a 5 star review. edit a year later: I do have an issue that on our follow up visit, the technician was hanging out at his house down the street rather than being at the appointment on time. Had to spend a half hour contacting his employers so they could try to "find" him like some sort of lost teenager. Showed up unapologetically late, and not once was the service given properly described (as in we don't know what products were applied in what locations) REVIEW PART 2: I see the owner responded. Looks like 11 months wasn't enough time to fix their issues. 6 out of 6 horrible call center interactions. After multiple attempts to reach Orkin, I was eventually redirected to a woman who actually sounded upset that she had to take my call. "They must be busy", she said. Well I'm sorry. don't care who is busy, it's not MY problem. I'm supposed to be your customer. don't transfer your frustration onto me. I've got a pest problem I need addressed, i'm stressed out enough. So after getting TWO messages taken, I eventually get a call back from some guy who tells me magically that it's going to be too windy, and that he will call me sometime next week to make an appointment. Well Orkin, we've been down that road before, and I'm going to actually need an answer this time. Never again will I deal with the stress and frustration of having to not only contact your company, but then also deal with the technicians who misrepresent their intentions upon, literally, every interaction so far. PS- Air is perfectly still out here tonight, once again. But don't worry, I've chosen Adams Pest Control Ltd this time, and I look forward to normal customer service. Edit 3: guy just never bothered to call me. Back. Went with Adams pest control and Im extremely happy with their service.!

I have been using Orkin for 3 years. Not by choice if I could change I would, I live in an apartment so it’s up to the landlord who we use. When my building first switched to them the guy who sprayed me the first 3 times was really nice ( I call every month or 2 to be sprayed.) he told me I wouldn’t need to get rid of my couch and that he would only need to come a few times and I’d never need them again. (Wasn’t true there ended up being so many in the couch even after the first 2 years of spraying that I finally asked my dad to take it to the dump) I liked that guy he was the nicest guy in their company that I’ve met. But after the first 3 times every other time has been someone new. I get EVERYTHING ready the day before because they never give an accurate time to when their coming. I have pets so when they do get to there it takes me a minute to get them all into the hall along with all my bagged stuff they don’t want in there while they spray. EVERY TIME they get there, they make rude and impatient comments like “you should have already been out of your apartment BEFORE I got here” it’s like yeah I’ll just leave my door unlocked for you bud, nah. That doesn’t make sense to me. There has been 2 times I’ve spent the day and night before preparing and they just NEVER showed up the day of. ( like today lmao why I’m posting this) I’m going to say, I get it, in an apartment building it’s almost impossible to fully get rid of bed bugs. But don’t get me , and autistic person who lives on their own to do all these preparations alone and just not show up. Don’t get snippy at me for not being out of my home when you don’t even give a proper time frame. “ any time after 8” lmao thanks. Don’t be rude with me when you’ve missed 2 appointments with me that YOU set. Like heck take your jobs seriously I’m tired of stressing over this.

I’ve made multiple calls to find out where they were as it was a no show and messages were left with the technician however both occasions I was told my appointment never made it into the technicians phone. Note however for the second appointment (after the first no show) I was speaking with the technician directly and he made the appointment himself. Their service may be good, I don’t know as I was never able to actually get any service. Decided to hire a different company as both time I had to take time off work and find child care.

Not good. after they sprayed not even a day later still too many live bugs. Its as though they never came to spray at all. new landlord just throws around false accusations that only a few apartments have been affected and threaten eviction when actually the building has been overrun by the bugs for over a year and the previous bug company did even less to resolve the issue. Their excuse is too much clutter. Well excuse me if i have lived in this apartment for the last 25 years and have actually worked and earned some cherished memories only to have someone come along and stick their nose up at you and say too much clutter. That tells me they are too lazy to move some furniture. Lost 2 days of work attempting to prepare and throwing out hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of cherished memories and belongings. After having to vacate for what thought would be only 4 hours was told had to be gone from 8am to 8pm as they were also doing building hallways. After returning and cleaning up mess and finally getting some rest before going back to work had a shower only to find hundreds of live bugs in shower curtain, for which the application should have irraticated. Even now just typing in this review am having to fend off the bugs.

I'm amazed by the number of positive reviews. I called orkin to come to my home, as there is an infestation of mice. He looked at the mice feces and said " that's definitely from mice," laid down two small wood traps and was off again. I would not recommend getting orkin. P.S still plenty of mice here. I have to be my own exterminator and read up online how to rid of these nuisances myself. I'm beyond frustrated and displeased with the service!

I have worked in 2 apt blogs for three years now. 24 units and 12 units. Orkin has served the units flawlessly, on time and always polite with tenants. The orkin reps are always dressed professionally. About 3 months ago one tenant had an infestation in his apt. I called Orkin and sent pictures of what I was facing. Within 15 minutes I rec'd call back telling me the infestation was a grain beetle and how to treat it - first be removing the bag of flour they came in with. Dan is the technician servicing us east of Timmins. He's fantastic! We had problems with house flies and mice in the farm house before we arranged for Orkin to help get them under control. Since Dan has been taking care of our pets control, we haven't had any mice and the only flies in the house are the ones that sneak in when a door or window is left open. I can't say enough good things about the level of professionalism and effectiveness of Dan and Orkin Pest Control Service.
