We handled subcontracts for Alpine Building Maintenance. This is a horrible run company from the owners to management to supervisors and office staff. For example, if a work order comes in and when you complete the work order, Alpine wants proof by taking pictures (before and after). This is an additional cost that Alpine pay us, but we will rarely get paid. Alpine keeps the money themselves. However, in some cases they did pay us, but only $20 for picking up and disposing a truck full of cardboard at our own expense. Simple math Alpine, your contractors are losing money by taking your work orders. In addition, supervisors are coming in left to right, you can’t even keep up with who is the supervisor for your subcontracts. The worst part is you finally are able to keep up with the new supervisors’ standards, but then the supervisor quits. A new supervisor will come in and starts giving out fines for $100 for not cleaning the outside windows, but little do they know, the fines the new supervisor is giving us is work that is supposed to be done by Alpine staff. Read the contracts people. Moreover, I have no idea how the big banks accepted Alpine bids. The big banks or other government buildings should do their due diligence. They are accepting bids from a crooked company who are thief’s.
Furthermore, once Alpine lost all of their TD bank contracts, all other contracts weren’t even worth keeping. I did the basic math. Total subcontract sales – total expenses = xxxx divide that by the hours you spend at the job site less then minimum wage. Therefore, when we tried to quit. They dragged us on for another year because they couldn’t find another contractor to take our contracts. So we, said we will continue to help you guys until you guys find someone. Out of no work, they gave us 1 hour notice, took all the contracts, which we were happy with, but when they were suppose to pay us. They made up all these fake fines and took half our subcontract pay. I was going take them to court, but it was not even worth it.
Another thing to note, the owner called me during the election in Surrey. Asked me to vote for Tom Gill. Excuse me, please mind your business on who I vote for and stay out of my personal business.
Just a heads up to future companies to stay away from Alpine Building Maintenance. To those who have contracts with Alpine Building Maintenance, do the math and stand up to them.
