I would never ever go there again and I will tell you why. While we were travelling by motorhome we had a flat tire. No worries, nothing bad happened, we met a nice towing service man who latteral safed our soul. We only lost one day and 650 CA$ which was paid by the rental company (thanks to additional insurance). The spare tire worked well too. Back to the flat tire. and that company. We get there to repaire the hole in the tire (arrow head stone). The specialist claimed that the hole was to big to repair. Furthermore, he kept the tire and rim which was quite strange actually. "The company next door" was very helpful and offered another tire, but we didn't buy one. However, we had to pay for the "work" (dismantle of the tire and look at the big hole). Finally, the nice man from the towing service contacted us again. We went back to the mechanical, get the tire and the rim back. His friend fixed the tire quickly and we were back on the road! Summary: This mechanical didn't help us and we paid a little amount for his (useless) work but expense - fair enough. I claim his primary goal was not help us but he tried to gain business by trickery and that's not fair when people are in trouble. I would give 0 stars, but it is not possible.

Rented an RV from Canadream and had a flat on the Dempster. Service tech from Advanced North Mechanics came out to help but didn't have patches or compressed air/compressor. Probably a miscommunication from the rental company who just told the service department it was just for a tire change. That said, a tire service truck should at least have plugs, patches and air at a minimum cus you never know what's what. That said I drove to Dawson followed by the tech and they took my tire off and repaired it same day within hours on a Friday. That's more than one could ask for. They were friendly and helpful

Chris is a top bloke, whilling to help and far from seeing you as a money bag on legs! Thanks bud for taking Quattro back on track!(talked way too early unfortunately ) towing was perfect indeed, repairs was a whole different story....!!! No worries for waiting time but 6weeks for having the wrong downpipe , after a lost one, result in an incorrect fitting, which took as well some modification and extra time (5hrs to fit a downpipe and exhaust line) Which I have been asked to pay in the first Bill handed to me. My expectation was just to have to right part fitted on my car and a bit more communication as I would have wait for the correct part To arrived and to be fitted. Remember using ENGINE code rather than VIN as european engine blocks can change from a car to another( 16 differents 1.8t 20v..) which is not the case on North American car. Can be confusing if not using engine code.

We were extremely happy and impressed with the professional, friendly service we received at Advance North. Catherine squeezed us in the day we arrived for a quick check after a bumpy ride on the Dempster Highway. The staff were very knowledgeable and were prompt in ordering the required parts to fix our Sprinter. Both Eric and Catherine were great at scheduling us in as quickly as possible. The shuttle service in/out of town was handy and appreciated. Very honest and understanding people. Would highly recommend!

Me and my wife broke down on the dempster highway 215 miles from Dawson city yk . We broke a spring on our trailer and blew a tire also on a Sunday. No phone service way out there. Unhooked the trailer and drove to Dawson city on a Sunday. Called the police and they gave me the phone number tO Advance machiancal. I called them On a Sunday and a nice feller called Phillip got a new spring and tire and took me back to my trailer fixed the problem and brought my trailer back to me in Dawson city to. Meet nice people KATHY and husband Crist and they had another inspection of my trailer to make sure everything was ok. For all the work that they did the bill was really reasonable I would highly recommend this family business to everyone. Thanks again to Phillip. Katy. And Crist for the excellent service. Our trailer was in bad shape after two tire blow outs on the dempster. They had the tires we needed and even tho they didn’t really have time to do it they fit us in anyways to put them on our rims so we could continue on. They had the right leaf spring u-bolts we needed and let us use their parking lot and plug in to work on the trailer. Super helpful

Great service getting our tire problems fixed. We had a flat while driving the Top of the World Highway. With only a temporary donut spare, and a trailer to tow in a couple of days, we needed a new tire. They didn’t have the needed tire size in stock. So, late in the day, they arranged to have a replacement shipped from Whitehorse overnight for changing in the morning. The service was courteous, timely and as promised. They kept me informed as they went through the process. The next morning, with the tires in stock, they called as they promised, got the car in right away and had the work done quickly. On top of that, while change the tire, they noted a loose bolt on the right-front strut and tightened it, letting me know of the issue, when I picked up my vehicle. Great service, great customer care. Would highly recommend.
