We've been using Take Time Services for over 2 years now and couldn't be happier with the job they've been doing. We have two young children and two big dogs so keeping up on the 'deeper' cleans has been much easier because of their services. We also go to the cabin a lot in the summers so after cleaning the cabin before leaving each time, it's nice to come home to a clean house. Tanya and Holly did such a phenomenal job cleaning our house. The house sparkled, especially the kitchen and floors! It was so lovely to come home to a clean house, even if we’re only for a few days due to our 2 year old daughter and our dogs! They were also so wonderful to our toddler. Before we left the house both Tanya and Holly were so great with our daughter. They talked with her while I finished getting myself and our baby ready to leave. They even sang and danced to Ring Around the Rosie with her. That was really something that they were so kind to her. We look forward to our next cleaning with either Tanya or Holly. A company telling customers that a company can purchase reviews on an automatic message when you call in which also then immediately after boasts about their reviews should have been my first red flag. This company was paid for a moving out cleaning service and did a terrible job. terrible at cleaning and terrible at taking ownership for the job afterwards. They had to come back THREE times to fix the job. I thought the whole premise of a cleaning company is saving time ? I had to babysit this cleaners and company while in the process of relocating across the country. It was not worth the stress. To quote the manager: 1. “I should have charged you more, the job was too big” 2. “I don’t have time for your concerns” 3. “you should have done a walk through. My response: 1. The house was completely empty aside from a swifter and shot glass accidentally left on a shelf. The cleaner swept around the swifter and didn’t even move it. I could have cleaned it in 8 hours by miserly but the reality I didn’t have time. Who knew two hired professionals would take 16 hours to clean an empty 1000 sq ft house ? 2. I don’t have time to babysit you or your staff, I’m about to check out of a hotel and board a ferry. Your business is about saving me time not the other way around. 3. I had my neighbours do a walk through each time they left (ALL THREE TIMES) which is how I provided photos. Why are you determined to pass the responsibility off on me ? I gave this company 1 star because they did come back and finish the job. I wish I went somewhere else though where it would have been done once so I could have avoided the stress in an already hectic time in my life. They will not give a refund ! !

They charged my credit card for NO REASON. I paid for service two years ago, and I am very surprised that they still have my credit card information until now, and charge me $117.49 for nothing. If you ever consider using their service, I highly recommend you to check your credit card transactions in a regular basis. I have opened a fraud claim against this company, hopefully get my money back. I wouldn't recommend this company not even to my worst enemy.

Hi all. I, too, was a happy customer for over 3 years now just like the people below. Cleaning was done well, prices were very fair. Until recently. We are a very fair and reasonable couple with average home. We get cleaning done approximately every month. More in winter, less in summer. We have noticed a decline in customer service (especially scheduling) during last year. On March 3rd I ordered a "spring clean". Full house top to bottom. I scheduled it for May 3rd. On May 2nd office called and asked to reschedule for the 4th, no reason why and it wasn't like we had a choice in the matter, it was either the 4th or cancel. Cleaning was awful. That wasn't the issue though. We identified the problems with the office and sent pics for proof. The owner agreed with us and stated that they would "reclean to our satisfaction". Ok, fine. They sent 1 cleaner and she only did what she could in the time allotted by scheduling. The cleaner agreed that the house was incomplete. We notified office that job not completed. Never heard back from them, silence. I waited a week and sent a scathing e-mail to the owner. Office called back to us a few days later and vowed to make it right, we were out. We returned the call, got voice mail and still waiting for reply. It is now 34 days since clean and 9 days since last voice mail. My advice to all, if you want an average clean completed in less than adequate time allotted and would like lots of aggravation with the owner and scheduling and have your cleaning done when they say rather when you require by all means then I highly recommend Take Time. If you do not want the headaches or have to clean your house after the cleaners have left then please hire anyone else.

We've been using them for two years. I initially hired them after my c section and kept their services to help me out since I have two kids under the age of two. Very helpful to have them come clean once a month and help me out. I was happy with their services until a cleaner dragged two potted plants over two pieces of teak furniture. I contacted the owner and she said she would have their handyman come repair the damages. Unfortunately, I waited almost three months and had to call multiple times to get the job done. I finally complained to their customer service for the fifth time and told them I was contacting the BBB to file a complaint. Only then did I received a call the next day. The handyman repaired my furniture but after the whole situation, I decided to go with another company just because of the lack of communication. I gave them a two star rating because they provided good service and cleaning before the damage.

They did a great job on the first cleaning but have not been reliable since then. They mixed up the schedule for my next clean. I thought we had the schedule worked out but then after they did not show up for a second scheduled clean, I phoned them and they said they could not come because of a cleaners illness. These things happen, and I understand that, but why didn’t they phone me to tell me rather than me having to try to track them down? Meanwhile I waited around two hours for someone to show up. Since then, they have not been reliable in phoning me back to reschedule the appointment. They seem to be too busy to take care of their customers. Update: Finally had the cleaner come and while she was very friendly, she neglected to do a lot of the basic things on their checklist- like dust baseboards, windowsills, sink cleaning, etc. They promptly sent someone to re-clean, which I appreciate. However, the hassle that I have experienced with this company is simply not worth it. I am giving two stars because my first clean was very good.

We had a very disappointing experience with Take Time Cleaning. Used them for about a year. The cleaners were almost always half hour to an hour late showing up for the 8:30am cleaning time. I had to call in multiple times after the cleaners didn’t show up and was told we would have to reschedule for later in the week. I gave some leniency due to covid issues that may have impacted them but was never communicated to that the cleaner wasn’t coming until I called in multiple hours after they didn’t show up. We rarely had the same cleaner, after they told us the cleaner would be consistent and the same. The original top to bottom clean was great and very thorough with two cleaners but the quality of the cleaning became average at best after that. We also paid for hourly service (3 hours) and the cleaners would often leave 45 minutes to an hour before the time we paid for was completed. I have a video door bell so this was not hard to track. I honestly think they must be paying for reviews or something has changed recently. They charge premium prices for their cleaning service and don’t provide even an average level of customer service or quality of cleaning. Feel free to message me if you want to verify my review. Cherry on top was when I called in to cancel after the cleaner didn’t show up for the 6th time in a year, the person on the phone was rude and aggressive. We have always been extremely forgiving with Take Time. Maybe they are short staffed? I don’t know but they showed zero concern in losing us as a customer. Absolutely avoid this company if you have other options.

My only experience with Take Time was an initial “top to bottom” clean that went rather poorly. The cleaning was superficial, lots of areas were missed, and one of the cleaners badly damaged a nonstick pan. I contacted Take Time, and they confirmed that 2 of the 3 cleaners that day were in training. Take Time offered to provide more experienced team for future cleanings, which I was happy to agree to. Take Time was not willing to do anything about the damage to the pan, and I indicated that as a result I would have to leave a negative review about that, but I also made clear that I would like to go forward with future cleans with a better team as the Take Time representative had proposed. At that point, the Take Time representative said that the business relationship would be “terminated” because I had already “formed an opinion" about the company. In other words, posting a negative review about any aspect of the service would mean I would not receive future service. I was then hung up on. I emailed Take Time since then to ask about the charges relating to the clean, and received no response. I honestly could not believe how hostile the customer service was for such a large company, and that a minor issue (damage to a pan) would result in this kind of treatment.

We made an appointment for an estimate and we took time off to meet the owner. She didn't show up. I called to see what was going on and she had an emergency. OK. I accept that. It happens. Then we rescheduled and she was late. My wife waited for as long as she could but she had to go to work. In my view, quite unprofessional. Note that we did not hire them for cleaning services so I cannot comment on that front.

Although I was a little disappointed that my house clean got cancelled by Take Time due to the massive winter storm, I was very impressed to learn that the reason was because the cleaners were all sent home for their personal safety. As a business owner myself I know that would've cost the company a lot of revenue, but the health and safety of staff comes first! I have been using Take Time home cleaning over four years and I have received consistant quality cleaning. I see no reason to look for another cleaning company. The staff are friendly and trustworthy. We had our exterior windows cleaned (including the window sills and tracks!) last Fall and they did an excellent job.

The first consultation not only did the owner not show up, (saturday) she didn’t even call. Called me Monday and explained that she misplaced my info. Ok, accepted that (dumb of me) - hired TT based on reviews. The cleaning was fine, however, they chose to use my house without discussing as a training house, which meant 4 girls (varying each time) all over my house with vacuums etc., then upon completion they would sit and have their meeting at my kitchen island completing paper work, etc. The final straw was when I came home to gravel and dirt all over my entrance way from 4 people’s dirty boots, which then had me on my hands and knees cleaning - something wrong with this picture!!!??, The communication was poor until I said I no longer wanted their service. When I explained my disappointment I received no response. Very unprofessional I thought.

Terrible service. I booked a whole house deep clean with the intention of getting biweekly services going forward. The deep clean was odd- they didn't mop any of the floors! My coffee grinder was sparkling but so what- my FLOORS hadn't been mopped! I called within 20 minutes of services being completed, during standard business hours, and no one answered so I left a message. No one called me back to arrange the make-up cleaning. I called back 4 days later and they offered to come and clean the floors then but I had already done it myself since they weren't responsive. They didn't offer any kind of discount or other way of making up for their terrible service, so I cancelled my biweekly cleanings. The woman on the phone said I could call back in if I change my mind and maybe they can "do something" for me but didn't actually offer me anything. I intended on being a regular customer but clearly they don't care enough about clients to try and retain them.

Here's a company with great service and heart. I am extremely impressed with Take Time. I had contacted a competitor first and received a quote to clean my mother's home: 11 labour hours to complete the service at a cost of $528 + GST. My mother was completing chemotherapy and I wanted her to have a fresh start with a fresh home which she hadn't been able to clean during her treatment. For a comparison, I then reached out to Take Time. The owner, Cindy, informed me that Take Time has a program which offers a free cleaning for patients undergoing cancer treatment. Take Time sent two staff members for two hours within the week and they were meticulous and thorough, moving through a checklist of my mother's priorities. The staff was professional and extremely courteous. The house has never looked cleaner and the entire family was so pleased with the results. We will definitely use Take Time again and we would recommend the service to anyone — not just because we're touched by the company's social responsibility and kindness, but because the service was topnotch.
