The waitlist was about 3 months long and looked forward to our first clean with all the glowing reviews. The first clean they did an ok job, but forgot 3 bathrooms and some other minor things. They sent someone over to rectify and we were happy. The second clean went smooth. The third forgot half the things on the checklist. Didn’t mop the floors, surfaces not wiped, left a trash bag on the front lawn. They sent another cleaner promptly. The fourth clean they didn’t show up, despite an email confirmation. When we called they said they didn’t know what happened. We tipped 40$ each time, and $20 on the 2 “we’ll fix it” cleans. Each time we got a different cleaner. Inconsistent service and a chore to chase down.

Edit : After review I was too harsh and also made mistakes in my own booking, that being said, the work I did pay for was done incorrectly and required recleaning of the kitchen, both bathrooms and the whole unit needed to be swept again as there were piles of dust. Paid for 350 for a move our cleaning and extras and got some of the worst cleaning I've seen. The walls still needed to be wiped, there were still dirt in the cupboards, the washroom mirror and glass were streaked. Overall I would never recommend soapy to anyone that wants a job done right. Spent 100 on cleaning supplies to do the job right myself with my friend. A waste of money hiring soapy.

I haven't been able to keep up with cleaning lately and I knew it had gotten to a point that I needed help. I contacted a few companies but Soapy Cleaning had the best customer service and best prices. The two cleaners that came by were very nice and professional and were happy to help! I needed a great deal of work done in the kitchen and bathroom. They got it done in the time frame that was recommended when I asked for a quote. The job was done very well and I am so happy with the service. I would recommend Soapy to my friends and would definitely use the service again!

Terrible service. I had an appointment scheduled and received an email confirmation the night before. After waiting an hour and a half after the scheduled time no one showed up. I called them and the service rep was unable to tell me what was going on. They told me they would consult the schedule and call me back. After waiting for 10 minutes I still hadn't received a call so I called them back. They informed me that they would not be able to complete the service and would need to reschedule. They said they had sent me an email the night before asking to reschedule (which they had not). On top of all of that you are required to provide a payment method (credit card) when scheduling the appointment. I was suspicious that this was a scam based on that fact but they have not charged my card as of yet, thankfully.

Worst experience with a cleaning company I ordered a “deep cleaning” of my apartment. I asked them to bring their own equipment as i thought they would have more advanced options than my swifter and wireless dyson. In the end thats what they used. I asked them to clean my kitchen cabinets. I payed 355$ for all of this and was hopeful they would do a great job. Ill let the pictures speak for themselves. They only cleaned one kitchen cabinet. They were actually proud of the work they had done. The kitchen counter still bad crumbs on it. When i called to voice my dissatisfaction, they showed up again much later without telling me beforehand, stating they would like to clean again. I ended up only getting 100$ refund. Bottom line : save your money and look somewhere else

We use Soapy Cleaning Company to handle the turnovers for the 25 Airbnb rentals we manage in Halifax. We would not be able to do it without them! They are efficient, thorough and punctual so we get 5 star reviews every time. Their cleaners are specially trained for Airbnb cleanings so they always notify right away us if anything is damaged or missing.

I booked a cleaning through their website, which was confirmed. I was contacted more than 24 hrs later that the space I chose was "not suppose to be available" and that my appointment would have to be moved. They re-booked for later that day, cleaner arrived an hour late, and did not do a proper cleaning. Ex: kitchen counters not wiped, kitchen sink not cleaned. The solution used to mop our floors left marks and we had to re-wash ourselves.

Soapy charged my elderly mother $200 for one person to come in for 1.5 hours. equalling $100 for 45 minutes work.... Work completed was average at best...when contacting the company i was told its "out of their hands" and there is nothing they can do. "That's what they charge"

Great experience with Soapy cleaning company. Living in a house with 6 kids and 3 dogs is not easy... Sid was great to coordinate with and very flexible in the scheduling. with all the youngsters on the go we needed someone who was willing to take the time and work with us, that was Sid.
