Just had my apartment cleaned by the excellent staff from Clutterbug. The attention to detail is amazing. I highly recommend Clutterbug for any of your cleaning needs. I feel I need to edit my review to counter the negative reviews left by bored, cheap angry housewives with no hobbies. You angry baby's need to find a hobby, besides being angry & vengeful. These are personal attacks not reviews. A lot of these negative reviews are bordering on libel.

We have used Clutterbug for years. Its true that they send multiple people to get the job done faster. I work from home and am here every time they clean. They are always friendly, professional and work their @$$es off when they are here. They also get to know the home after the first visit and always use the time they save to do additional cleaning. I have come to know dozens of their employees at this point and while yes some are more skilled than others they always pair experienced folks with newer ones. I trust them unequivocally (Heck they find things I've lost around the house almost routinely) I'm sad to read the negative reviews. I recommend them to friends and neighbors and I'm happy I noticed this review section on google to recommend them publicly.

Clutterbug has been looking after our home for at least the last 5 years. The service and quality of the work have been exceptional. They aim to please, are pleasant, work hard and efficiently. We have pets and busy children who are sometimes here while the Clutterbug team are working and the staff are kind, respectful and understanding to both the children and pets while working. I have recommended Clutterbug to several friends who have also been very pleased with their work.

The actual deep clean was very satisfactory and no complaints about job team did. I tried to book regular scheduled cleanings since then, but communication is poor. Frustrated and moving on to try another house cleaning company which is disappointing. Not very professional.

Clutterbug cleaned my house. They did a VERY poor job. The owner has ignored my attempts to resolve the issue with her and overcharged me as well. Celeste Levy, claims that 3-4 people come at a time and typically they come for an hour or a little more (they have helped me with cleaning for almost a year and usually do a fine job although there have been some issues in the past as well). I had explained to her that I need to rely on consistent quality service as she most often cleans between my Air BnB guests for me when I am not there to quality check or go through and fix up missed bits myself. This time on May 3rd was outrageously negligent. I came home to find garbage all still in can, food crumbs on kitchen counter and splatters on wall above sink, a big milk splotch on kitchen floor (which would indicate that floor had not been mopped), a thick layer of dust on lamps in bedroom, and a dirty and hairy corner of bathroom floor. I took photos of this and sent them to Celeste and complained about. She said she would send someone the next day to fix it. She did and i came home to find the milk splotch still on the kitchen floor in the same place. The bathroom floor and kitchen counter looked like it had been given a quick pass but still there was dirt and hair and food on these surfaces and it was the same stuff that was there the day before. It looked like someone had come in for a few minutes and that was it. She sent me an invoice which charged me a half hour extra for their return on the second day. I contacted Celeste and asked her if she could please come and meet with me to discuss the issues and i thought generously told her "maybe my expectations do not meet what service you are willing to provide, can we please meet to talk about expectations and services provided". I felt like being very generous because I am a small business owner myself and know the issues related to staffing and performance etc. I didn't want to go online and write a nasty review without giving her a really good chance to make good on things. I never heard back from her until i recieved the invoice for the cleaning which charged me an extra 1/2 hr. for the time they came back to fix neglect from day before (which they didn't actually do). I waited some time to hear back from her and in the end I only heard from her to request payment of the invoice. I told her if she made a new invoice which only reflected the time they were here on the first day and not the extra time they came back the next day, i would pay it immediately and we could be done with each other. I also told her that i felt compelled to write about my experience in a review. She said she would definately not re do the invoice and if i wrote a review online about my experience she would follow up with a statement about what an impossible to please customer i was. Would you like to see the photos yourself? I feel this is an outrageous show of negligence and lack of professionalism on the part of this business.

I am giving this company 2 stars only because they eventually did an OK job and the owner was good to make sure that cleaners returned to do what wasn’t done the first time. However, I was very disappointed in this company TWICE. I got Clutterbug a year ago to do a deep clean for me before Christmas and the job was done so poorly, they had to send another group back a few days later to re-do it. Celeste had called the second group her experienced cleaners, and they did a great job! So this year, I specifically asked for the experienced cleaners again. That is not who came… I thought I would give the benefit of the doubt though and left the cleaners to do their job. When I returned, I was absolutely in shock and completely baffled as to what they HAD done for 4 hours! I took pictures and sent a long list to Celeste, and to her credit, she sent the experienced cleaners back a week later. The job they did this time was OK. I would call it an OK cleaning job, I would NOT call it a “deep clean”. I have learned my lesson and will be doing my own cleaning from now on. I’ll buy shoes as a treat to me.

Awesome. Amazing. Fantastic. Incredible. I'm running out of words. A great team of three came into my messy house, tidied, cleaned, mopped , ledges, tops and so on and...voila. Just like that, the house got a makeover. They coordinated so well, are so polite and helpful and when they were done, insisted I check everything to make sure they got everything right. Spotless. Perfect. Wow. They're the best at this that I've ever known. These guys worked hard and take their work seriously. You can tell they take pride in their work. Just awesome. So lucky to be recommended these folks for this job. The one guy, Steve, just have a great eye for staging. He made my place look so much bigger. He was just so good at giving the house a theme, and every room a clear purpose. I'll definitely use these guys again and I highly recommend them. Got these guys (Steven & team) back for another clean and again, they exceeded my expectations. Really nice, as usual. They also cleaned the things I didn't think about for a house showing: front door; outside railings, pillars, and so on. It makes a difference with people who really care and take pride in their work. Awesome again. Wonderful. Excellent. Fantastic. Wow. Super.

Clutterbug has been cleaning my house for a year now. What a great team! They are all pleasant and professional, and they do a wonderful job. I love walking in the door when I get home on cleaning day. Celeste and the team are very responsive to any special requests or adjustments needed. Oh, and they are good with pets as well.

While they cleaned the house well enough they were difficult to communicate with and they threatened to call the RCMP on me. After their maids were through I called and left a message asking how much I owed for their services and never heard back. After two days I called again to no answer. On the third day my fiance and I went on a 2 week long trip to Spain. Upon my return I had several text messages saying they were going to call the RCMP if I refused to pay. I immediately apologized for not responding but explained that no one had gotten back to me, I left for my trip, and I had no idea what I owed. I just received curt text messages back and now that I'm currently looking for another house cleaning service, I will steer clear of Clutterbug.

I booked Clutterbug for a move out clean of a 3 bedroom townhome. After a team of 3-4 people spent 4 hours on the home, the advertised cleaning of baseboards and walls was not completed. I asked why I was not contacted to either let me know, or add on more time to complete these items. I walked through the townhome with my landlord, and spent hours after the fact cleaning behind Clutterbug. After contacting Celeste (owner), she stated that these things are completed “if there is time”. So a Deep Clean from Clutterbug doesn’t actually include the typical items you’d find in a deep clean. When asked about that policy, she stated that her employees completed the job to a satisfactory level, including having employees on “hands and knees” which I would expect during a $450 deep clean. It was suggested to me by Celeste that property defects were the cause of the baseboards not being cleaned, and the only way to “fix” them was a coat of paint. In order to paint, the baseboards and walls need to be clean. After swiping them with a soapy cloth, they came clean. After corresponding for another hour, she then backtracked and stated that there “may have been too much for the cleaners to get to”. This completely contradicts her previous opinion that everything was done to satisfaction. Essentially, Celeste was extremely defensive when a job was not completed correctly, communicates in an unprofessional manner and has no desire to resolve issues.

I absolutely adore this team. They help keep my home feeling like a home when I am unable to keep up with things. Every single person that has come through our home has been amazingly kind and sweet, the cleaning is always thorough and the extra steps they take just make the experience worth absolutely every cent. I cannot recommend Clutterbug cleaning enough!!

Terrible service. I asked for a “deep cleaning” service just before Christmas as I dislocated my shoulder. I told them specifically that I wanted the bathrooms throuroghly cleaned and the floors. They barely did a surface clean in the bathrooms, not even touching the floors of the bathroom or the inside of the showers. They also did not touch the floors anywhere else in the house. They spent their time rearraging Tupperware? I approached them and said I wanted to ensure the bathrooms were done throughly before any of that. They assured me they would be. I would not recommend this company. I had to get the whole house done again. I contacted them to complain and sent pictures of floors of the bathrooms and all I received was a bill.

By far the WORST customer experience I have ever had, in my opinion. Extremely disappointing, so much so that we had to have other cleaners come clean the entire house top to bottom before we could move in. My husband and I purchased a new home and planned to keep our existing home as a rental property. We hired Clutterbug to clean both properties with the “move in move out” clean. Our new property had previously been tenant occupied and required a good cleaning before we moved ourselves and belongings into the home. We had Clutterbug booked for back to back days as we had tenants moving into our previous home, so it needed to be a well-timed transition for our move. Long story short, after spending most of the day “cleaning” our new house, it was hardly any better than when they began (including toothpaste from the previous tenants still stuck to the bathroom counters). It was still so dirty once they had “finished” that we could not move in ourselves and belongings, and with our other house rented out, we had to stay with friends and family over the weekend until competent, reliable cleaners were available. We tried phoning, emailing, and even dropping by the office what seemed like countless times. None of our attempts to contact were returned. Finally, we decided there was no other way to proceed than to put a stop-payment on our credit card, then they would at least be forced to contact us to receive payment. We wanted to talk to see what could be done to remedy the situation, we were happy to pay a portion of the bill, however certainly wished to express our great dissatisfaction with the service and to advise we would certainly not be using the service again (of course we cancelled Clutterbug for our other property after the experience with our new home). After continued attempts to contact we finally stopped trying. They simply waited until our stop payment expired, then charged our credit card over $700. Summary of this review: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE. *Please note, this is probably the first negative review I have ever taken the time & trouble to post, which hopefully effectively emphasizes just how poor an experience it was to deal with this company, in my opinion.

The team take pride in what they do, plan the visit to have time to take care of small details like organizing areas of the house during the visit. I highly recommend them for both cleaning and organizing.

My name is Monique Houle; I am an international business owner and utilized the services of Clutterbug for over 7 years commencing in 2008. At the onset they were quite an impressive cleaning company, but in 2014 and 2015 I began to notice a change in the quality of workmanship. But Celeste, the owner of Clutterbug always rectified any problem that occurred. My review is actually over an expensive crystal item that got broken. This transpired while I was in the office of my home downstairs. When I advised Celeste of what had happened, instead of just taking the word of a longstanding 7 year client, she stated that she would ask her employees about it and she further relayed that upon any item getting broken or damaged, that the employees are suppose to let the homeowner know. Of course that policy was not implemented in this particular case and when Celeste asked the employees about the broken crystal item, each one of them denied that anything on toward had happened. Much to my dismay, Celeste opted to believe her employees over a long standing client of seven years, stating that one of the employees was a family friend, and the other two would never lie over breaking something. I was mortified over Celeste's response which for all intents and purposes indicated that she believed I was lying. Needless to say, I was quite upset and did not provide her with any rebuttal as I felt there was no point. She had her mind made up. Being in the business world for over 17 years and having employees, I am here to say that NOT all employees are honest and above board. To think that would be most naive. But above all, I would NEVER accuse or even as much as insinuate to a client that they are mistaken, or even suggest that I do not believe what it is I am being advised of. This is one sure way to lose the respect and rapport not to mention any future business contracts with the very one that puts bread and butter on your table. I think Clutterbug needs to be reminded just who it is that they are working for...it is you and I, the people, who are actually paying to have a particular service provided. To be made feel like we are in the "wrong" is definitely not good business acumen and is most disturbing. Hence my review. Thank You Most Kindly Monique Houle
