I just recently purchased a new home for myself and 2 young children, the price was very low and i jumped on it.. when i moved in i realized the walls were sort of sticky and smelly, i than realized why the house was so cheap. I called around and Richard Sticklee ended up coming and doing a walk through of my home, he was very professional and took into consideration that i just bought the home and i didnt have much money, but i wanted the odour gone for my childrens sake. When him and his Team showed up that first day, i was in wow of how profession they looked and spoke to me. After 2 days, my home is now completely smoke and odour free!! We needed picutres taken of the items that were damaged by mould/ water in order to get reimburssed for them. We were assured by Richard that his team would take the pictures and send them to us. After dozens of emails and phone calls spanning over months we still are not in possession of all of the pictures we were promised. Richard continues to give myself and husband the run around; saying he sent all the pictures and the email must have gone to junkmail, then saying he'd look for them and send them because they must have been misfiled, promising to return phone calls and emails right away then avoiding follow-up calls made days later. Dealing with him has been an absolute nightmare and I woudn't wish having to go through this on anyone. We're out thousands of dollars because of this. A number of items were also damaged by his crew and documented because we were assured that Richard would want to know so that they could make it right. There was no follow-up about these damaged items.

We recently had to deal with an unfortunate incident, and we had to reach out to First Response Cleaning. We needed the attention of a "bio- hazard company" to clean our rental property. This was a first-time experience for us, and we were extremely nervous to have to deal with this sensitive situation. I called and left a message for Richard, with in a few minutes he returned my call. His calming voice on the other end of the phone left me confident we reached the right company. With in 24hr he was on site evaluating the situation, 24hr later, the clean up was booked and the work was completed to our satisfaction. Richard is extremely considerate, polite, professional and true to his word. When dealing with a sensitive situation its not always easy, but rest assured if you reach out to Richard at First Response Cleaning you will not be disappointed. I had someone come and take a look at possible mold in my basement. The initial inspection went great, they were nice and courteous, and explained things very well, and took their time. Naturally I got another company to come and take a look at it so I can have a few quotes, however that company said I didn't have mold. When I spoke to Richard, I had told him that I'm a little conflicted to whether I have mold or not and wanted another company to take a look at it, and at first he understood. But he went on to tell me that they are very busy and my money was nothing to them. Whether I have mold or not or how busy of a company you are, that was unprofessional and rude. I would rather give my business to a company that does value my money.

Awesome work! We had tenants who turned our rental property into a flip house. We called several companies for advice and the guys from First Response came over that same day. No pressure at all which was refreshing. Two other companies gave us quotes, but Ryan was the only one who made us aware of the dangers of some of the drug paraphernalia in the condo. His quote was clear and very concise with the work to be done very easily explained. The job is now done, locks changed and they even fixed all the damaged drywall and doors. I was very glad to find them. I appreciated the great job!

Ethically poor company. Did an air quality test at my home and exaggerated his conclusion to rush me into getting their cleanup services. Two independent companies read the test results completely refuted most of what this company said in the conclusion. My reply to First Response Cleaning's comment: below (#1): That's too easy of an out. I would gladly provide you with reports and analysis done by your company to prove that you were the company that did the work. In your defense, the initial test was requested by a tenant of mine which is probably why you could not find my name in your records. Maybe Richard S. can shed some light for you? Response to Richard (#2) : Yes the test are done independently by a lab and numbers don't lie. My beef with you was in the conclusion of those results. Since a bunch of numbers on a piece of paper does not mean much for the non-technical person, you sent out a conclusion letter exaggerating the meaning of those numbers creating chaos in my tenants life and my own. Also, taking samples directly on the floor or just in the cold room is also suspicious. I have since sold the house. The new owners did air quality tests prior to buying, and guess what. Nothing unusual came back. That being said, I stick to my initial review.

I had a renovation planned and my general contractor had some asbestos tests done. Turns out we had asbestos in 4 areas. Called First Response after reading the article in the paper about them. Rick showed up and gave me an action plan and my contractor said he knew what he was talking about. 2 days later 5 people in suits and air masks came in. Three days later the job was all done. No dust anywhere and the after test came back all clear. Glad to suggest First Response Enviropure to anyone

First Response Cleaning did an excellent job cleaning my elderly sister's apartment. Richard inspected what had to be done, he quoted very competitively and his Team arrived onsite and on time as per our agreement. They did a deep clean and disinfected walls, appliances and carpeting as requested. They even went beyond the "call of duty" and completed some small repairs to the walls and woodwork. Bob at First Response came to see us after we discovered mold in our basement. His explanation of what they would do was very clear and then they arranged air testing for us the next day. The results of the air test was explained and we hired them to clean up the mold. They were amazing to deal with and professional. Very impressed with the level of service from Richard and his team. My husband found what he thought might be black mold behind a baseboard when removing it to install a closet unit in our master bedroom and needed to get someone in to inspect right away (with me being 38 weeks pregnant). We called a few places but since it was Good Friday, we either didn't get a response or they couldn't send anyone until the following week. When I called First Response, they answered immediately and took my information and Richard reached back out within minutes. I explained our situation and he was so friendly and eager to help. It was late afternoon on Good Friday and he was able to send someone first thing Saturday morning. Bob arrived right when Richard had said he would, 9:30am and assessed the situation. It was indeed black mold and he went right back to his shop to get what was required to rectify the situation right away. Everything was said and done within a couple of hours. Very grateful and would recommend their service 100%!

Tara and Jamey did a phenomenon job!! I am very impressed with their quality of work and attention to detail. We hired First Response to UFP clean our new home, as we had just recently escaped a water-damaged building. My partner and I are both Asthmatic and have allergies- to mould and to pets. Since leaving our previous house, I have been extremely anxious whenever I saw any possible signs of water damage (such as discoloration).
