Bought a tablet that I was told was fine, Turns out the tablet was locked with the last owners google account. All while the alarm was going off because a sales rep triggered and alarm while all the other reps just stood and looked at it. The only customer support I received was from an in training staff.
I had a good experience with them and when I went to use the device it was all messed up. (Sim). It took fido days and reloaded my account because it was there mistake. Don't let retailers sell your short stand up for your right most times you can say a lot more than they can so use your opinion

Great service! I recently purchased a chromebook online and 4 of the keys weren't working. I brought it in to Best Buy to see if it could be fixed. Instead they offered me a brand new chromebook. I can't recall the associates name but it starts with T, and I was in around 12:20 on March 13th. He was working at the customer service desk. He was super friendly and helpful! Great job Best Buy!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR COMPUTER TO THIS STORE FOR SERVICE. My computer was hacked & my bank required/recommended that my computer be evaluated. They recommended either Best Buy or Staples, I chose Best Buy. My computer is only one months old & it worked fine when I took it in. They did a wipe & created a folder with my info, however, none of my word documents can be read because they deleted my Word program. When I returned to the store because it has crashed twice since the service & to also have them re-install my Word program, they now tell me that my hard drive is no good & offered to sell me a new computer! Luckily I bought it at Costco & they have a 90 days return policy, but it's an inconvenience. The technician was very pleasant, but something has gone seriously wrong. As I live 30 minutes from the store I called & spoke to the store manager, requesting a refund of the $262.19 that I paid for the service I didn't receive be refunded, however, received little satisfaction. I couldn't post without choosing at least one star, but that is not deserved.

My wife brought my laptop computer to have the keyboard cleaned by the Geek Squad. She was about an hour early (10 a.m.) before they opened (11 am.). The manager was there, and he refused to take it nor leave it with the Geek Squad. We live an hour away, so she thought he could cut her some slack. But no, he couldn't make that concession. She told me he was arrogant, rude, and told her that if she didn't like it, she could take her business elsewhere. Of course, we will. All our business! Over the past 3 to 4 years, we've bought 2 laptops from them, a TV, a TV stand, and mobile phone. When we're spending our money at Best Buy, everyone is nice and accommodating. You'd think the SOB manager could be more customer considerate. That's the last Best Buy shopping we'll do.

Worst customer service of any store I've ever been in. Shelves are empty and what few things are on the shelves you can be sure it's on the wrong price tag. Employees have no interest in helping customers and usually just hang out with each other on their phones. Never purchase a warrantee from here so much fine print they'll never pay up, then you're still left paying the monthly warrantee fee for a product you no longer even have. This is the last store I'd willingly choose to purchase my product in.
Fairly typical big box electronics store. Found that some stuff is displayed in seperate sections of the store. For instance, the gaming gear is spread out over a couple aisles separated by the laptop section and some other non-gaming related products. A bit confusing.

The worst customer service. The one person who did help us was moderately helpful bit had nothing that was advertised online or in store. I was looking for a Samsung tablet and they only had one type available out of the handful they show on display. Then we wanted to check out the smart tvs and not one person in the department helped us. Will not be shopping there again.

Customer service experience is absolutely shambolic. Can't even call the store to ask a question about a pre-order. The guy on the outsourced 1-800 number can "request" a callback which I have not received 3 hours later. You can get everything here at either Staples, the Source, the Brick or WalMart and when WalMart is the better option... oof.
How hard is it to pick up a phone?
Have been to Best Buy's mobile center twice now. Both times have been easy and painless. James in that department is a great and knowledgeable guy, which saves so much of your time instead of waiting for them to have to look it up or ask. The store usually has great deals on as well, better than most mobile outlets I've visited.
The prices are reasonable and the store is clean and well looked after. Some of the employees were a bit weird and followed me and my friends around as we looked at stuff.

My brother bought a computer there and the staff gave us a discount with a purchase of their geek membership which they said we only have to pay 6 month. They told us we cab cancel the membership 6 month later and wrote how much money we have to pay in total on the work sheet. But 6 month later when we tried to cancel the membership, the staff on the phone said we have to pay the 7th month in order to cancel the membership. So we went into the store and spoke to the manager. Manager was very rude and said we should have read the agreement (which we had to creat a Best buy account in order to read it online). He basically means his staff can say anything that is wrong in order to trick you into buying their product as long as they have an agreement some where online that tells a different story. The agreement was not emailed to us or given to us when we bought the computer. Manager was very very rude.

Found some staff that are able to answer my technical questions about WiFi routers.
Bought a tv and when I ordered it to be installed it was 10day wait that was fine they were busy.then hey finally make it down to install and they bring wrong mount. He admitted fault that’s cool tells me next available install was 10 days! Lol then apparently they left a message at my business with a worker saying he had to reschedule to the 30th making it another 4 days on top of the original 10 day wait. Yea sht happens .... In the end they are working on some compensation for me and my troubles which in he end of the day is the right thing to do and I give bonus points for that. People are pretty easy to work with.although here in pei the only one store I try calling and the phone line is busy for hours lol how can you be a technology store and have one phone line ?

The worst experience I ever had was at Best Buy Charlottetown. Save yourself the stress and don’t go there most especially if your a minority. The manager would not even give me an opportunity to express myself. I purchased a display fridge that was for sale, it had some stickers for signage on it, my wife signed the paperwork saying it has only one scratch on it and when she went there after 3 hours to pick it up they there was more scratches from the stickers that are permanent. I went to meet her at the store but she was gone before I got there so I was told by the sales person, he called me over to show me a picture on his Iphone of the new scratches. I asked if they can do anything in price for that because it’s a new fridge. He said maybe but have to call the manager and see. When the manager Mike came out, he did not even greet me he asked if i’m looking for another discount, because he will not give me one. I tried to explain to him what happened and he just start calling me names and said that I should just return the fridge and get a refund. When I stepped out to call my wife she said that the paperwork was signed when she payed and the marks were not there when she payed but after the fridge was all wrapped up for delivery is when the sales person showed her with a picture on his iPhone. When I got home to see the fridge the scratches are very noticeable, and I would like to return the fridge for a refund as it is not worth the money with all the issue it has now, but I don’t feel comfortable going back to that store to get the refund, i would just like to be treated with respect, just like i was treating them. Sad to say but this will be my last time dealing with this store, God help that business.

No one answers phone when u need..they do not provide good customer service..do not buy "smart" tvs without buying at least an extra 3 year warranty..they, as I found out the hard way, will not help u out unless u buy the warranty. That being said, I do pwn a toshiba tv that has lasted me 10 years now but its not a "smart" so beware

Make a reservation to hold an item and got the confirmation. Went to pick it up same day and they didn't have it set aside for me. Waiting in line to find out they don't care. What's the point in having this feature if I come in and you are sold out and did not hold the item for me like it confirmed. Terrible service and I will just purchase my next item from amazon or a competitor.

All the other reviews are about their phone service, which if you'd sit and go through the automations you'd be done in 15 minutes. There are other people ahead of you, get over it. Their in store service is absolutely delightful. I've been in multiple times for speakers, computers, games, whatever, you name it, and though they aren't on you the second they come in, the service they give after a short wait is pretty good.
It's a best buy, expensive but okay I guess
Some of the least helpful customer services experiences I have ever had. I recently stood in the camera department looking bewildered for about 10 minutes waiting for someone to show up and was only asked if I needed help by an employee who first walked past me and then turned around. This, despite the fact that there were numerous employees milling about different parts of the store. The camera display was a disaster and only about half of the camera racks had display cameras on them (and not the one I wanted). My questions could not be answered and no solution to what I came for was offered. On two other occasions recently I tried calling to ask a question. Both times I tried about 10+ times and have *never* been able to talk to a person. Customer service is obviously not a priority of Best Buy Charlottetown.
Staff was friendly but stock was at a minimum. I went in looking for an SLR camera kit, preferably Nikon since I already had some Nikon lenses but there were only a few of the low end bodies available. The spaces/security devices were there for the other models but no stock. This was the same for the other brands as well. Ended up picking up some GoPro lenses but the section looked picked over too.
Sales persons are not the greatest and that is not their fault management may be.

After that she decided to call someone and that guy or Kid has so much attitude and no knowledge of product at all. He went away 5 times to ask someone. Seriously you guys need to train your staff better.

Then when they called us to set-up payment and delivery, they advised that our items would arrive in Sunday or Monday, but it is now Monday but nothing has arrived yet.very disappointing service.

I am purchasing a rather expensive camera, and there is never anyone to talk to about availablity, pricing, etc...a store the CLEARLY does not care about customer contact, care, and blow back. Truly if this is what Future Shop is all about, you have lost a good customer. One by one, that is how you loss business, and eventually shut your doors. Just ask other...remember, you do something good, they will tell 3 people. Do something bad and they will tell 10...I guess I have to go again to Amazon to buy something. See ya Canadian business. Placed an order for online pickup (prepaid) expecting that my husband could stop in and get it after work. Tried to call and leave his name so that they would release the product to him but couldn't even call through to the store. I had to call a 1-800 number to then be told that it was impossible and there is nothing they can do. Which is both hilarious and absurd. The fact that I cannot even get in touch with anyone at the store is BEYOND infuriating. Who's crazy idea was that?

I would put no stars, if I could. I purchased a washing machine LG Direct Drive and LG Sensor Dry dryer in December 2020. The washing machine dosen't get the clothes clean, it has no agitator (I was told that's the best)and no matter what settings I put it on the water will not cover the cloths. IT WILL NOT GET THE CLOTHES CLEAN.

When you need something specific they usually have stock on hand. The mobile phone department is overworked, undertrained, and understaffed. Went in recently to buy a new camera that was on sale, after standing in the camera section for 15 minute waiting for one of the many reps who were free to come and assist and open the cabinet, I ended up giving up and leaving. From the parking lot I bought the camera on Amazon for the same price and had it delivered in two days. This store is extremely hit or miss and recently has been mostly miss.

Will never return to Best Buy, as Amazon’s ability to honour product warranties is by far superior. I went there last week and tried getting warranty from a defective product, which was less than 6 months old, and it had a 1 year warranty. I was instantly told by a very rude service person, I had to contact manufacturer directly, and when I asked how, they told me “online”. I bought a camcorder and had a hard time trying to figure it out. I took it back to the store and Akash from the Geek squad explain it to me in terms I could understand. He also brought out a chair so I could sit down,( I have a cast on for a broken bone in my foot) this was extremely kind of him. Akash is a real asset to best buy, I will not hesitate to return to best buy and buy other items I need. With kind people like Akash why would I go anywhere else? Thank you Akash!

Very bad service.. Called ahead to ask if something was in stock. Girl on the phone answers me without even checking, drive 25 mins to store to find out they have been out of the item for months now. When leaving the store not a happy camper, see three of the staff behind the front counter taking pictures of the other girls bumb on her head. Bad service will not be back.
Went for an air conditioner. Pricing was highwr than other places for lesser known brands. Staff were plentiful but did not seem interested in serving customers.

Well, first off three staff were talking to one man (it was a social conversation), that was fine with me but the staff did see me there, they looked directly at me, and so I milled around for a bit before I approached the counter again. At this time I said "Excuse me" to the staff to get their attention and one of the staff approached me and said "whats up". Ok, not really a professional greeting but whatever keep in mind I am 40ish not 20. I carry on. As I am asking her about cell phone plans, she gives me an outdated rate plan sheet and as I am asking some questions that she has no answers to, she literally picks a pimple right off of her face in front of me and it starts to bleed. I think at this point that she will excuse herself to have someone else take over after all we are all human and weird things happen sometimes, but then She is checking her face in the reflection of her cell phone that she has in her hand and continues to touch her bleedy pimple and touch the paper that is in front of me leaving little marks. I leave at this point never to return. Zero stars for service.

always terrible there, was better when it was commissioned based at least the employees were motivated. Walked in trying to find a phone case no one there to help just 5 underpaid kids sitting behind the desk talking and on their phones. Bought it on amazon soon enough best buy will be going the way of the dodo bird.

Either the telephone is not answered at all or the call is immediately disconnected. Not a good practice for a retailer. Lost business.

I feel scammed. I have an issue with a laptop of mine, so I brought it in to see if they could help me and see if it was a hardware issue. I understood that they might not be able to help me with it but I gave it a shot. In person, I feel like their only goal was to upsell me and to rush me into signing paperwork. When my device was sent off, I received a call that made it obvious that they had no idea why I brought it in. Again I got the impression that I was being pressured into buying additional services that had nothing to do with why I brought my computer in. When I received the device back it had the same issues as when I sent it off, despite their reassurances.

It is rediculous that you can’t call the Charlottetown store or even customer service to talk to someone !!! You are constantly re directed to their website! Sometimes you just need to ask a question !!!!! How frustrating! I will be purchasing anywhere but here!!! Terrible service !!!!

Gentleman at the exchange counter was very helpful. But then the store manager comes over and tries to tell me that I’m past the exchange timing but she’ll “do me a favour” on this one and that I should buy the product protection to avoid this again. I purchased it 2 weeks and 2 days ago and clearly states the policy on the website that I have 30 days. Either not educated on company policy or trying to take advantage of a situation in order to sell me the protection plan. I’m certain the later applies here.
Having great difficulty dealing with you. You do not answer the phone. Many associates do not seem interested in assisting the customer. Your store inventory is limited, looks like you are going broke.
