ServPro did an excellent job of cleaning up after a flooded basement in our new-to-us house, their remediation crew was quick, thorough and efficient in getting the place dried out and ready for rebuild. The rebuild process was well done in the end, however, there were a number of delays in the process. I would still recommend ServPro, but just make sure you are on top of them to ensure the work gets done at your desired pace.

Your team erased my disaster following a pipe burst flooded a large portion of my home. And returned it better than it was before. On the recommendation of our insurance agent we contacted Servpro and met with Terry at 5:00pm that day to assess the extent of the problem . He had a crew onsite by 7:00pm and they worked until 2:00am, getting at the wet area and installing fans and dehumidifiers. From that point on the various teams from Servpro took over and completely restored our home “like it never even happened “. My wife and I were very pleased with all the work done and the professionalism and attitude of all the teams and would highly recommend them to anyone in similar circumstances.

Our windows leaked back in early summer. While ServPro was quick to respond, they did not bring the correct equipment with them to remediate our window issue. As such, we had to call them a 2nd time for the same issue. They charged us $900 for the 2nd visit, which could have been avoided had they completed their initial service call correctly. When I called to speak with the Manager, he said there was nothing he could do and that we should have had the windows fixed sooner so they didn't have to remidiate the leakage a 2nd time. I am very disappointed in their service delivery and would not use again.

To provide the brief backstory, my Mum fell ill and was admitted to long term care leaving me the responsibility of checking up on her empty house among other things. It goes without saying that my focus was caring for my Mum and the house and everything else was a duty. One Saturday in January, I went about my routine check of the house on the way to visit Mum only to find that a water supply line to the kitchen had failed, releasing water at mainline pressure and flooding the house. After doing what I could with the help of a neighbour, I called Servpro. Brett showed up within thirty minutes even though I told him things were now under control and my neighbour's sump was working away to drain the basement. The Servpro crew followed shortly after and put the little sump to shame. The next morning the house looked like a fan factory with multiple blowers in every room. The sense of relief was nothing short of heartwarming. There are a few times in life when the extra effort by someone makes a pronounced difference for someone else. My Mum passed away six weeks after her house flooded. Imagine the regret I would have if I had felt the need to project manage the clean-up myself rather than spend the last bit of time I had with my Mum. Instead, Brett and Servpro provided a sense of confidence that was met with the highest competence. Thank you Brett and Servpro.

He was able to confirm the cause of the damage, and recommended some home solutions we could use to stop the leak and also fix the stain on the ceiling. I had reasonable expectations for ServePro based on its long standing positive reputation in Calgary so was extremely disappointed with the poor communication and incompetence associated with my mould removal job. While I did contribute to the delay by making changes to the scope of the work, what began with a quote in mid-July led to a switch in contractors in early September when the work still had not been initiated. I kept a record of the communication over the 2 months and attribute most of the delay to lack of response and underestimation of availability of trades. If I could, I would rate this experience as a "0" and will be sure to relay to others to steer clear.

I can't even explain how amazing he was with us. He walked us thru the issues, how to detect the leak (as we were determined to do this on our own) and promptly referred us to a plumber who arranged a next day visit. Brett's customer service is beyond 5 Stars. I have never come across someone so willing to help, especially after hours, making sure we were on the right track. He turned some pretty upset and worried homeowners into people feeling taken care of and confident. We commend his AMAZING customer service and will absolutely use him for future work! Raymond and Lillian, have restored my place!! The work was done very quickly!! Way above my expectations!! And cleanliness was immaculate!! First time in my entire life I saw drywall installation, taping, mudding and SANDING done with not a spec of dust left in my place!!!! The painting is flawless!! Update: Changed review from a 1* to a 3*; general manager contacted me after I posted the first. To his credit, same day. I would say overall a poor experience that ended very well after Rick's involvement. Overall impression: the work was good quality however; I was extremely displeased with the first project manager. I was livid when my door was actually left open after the cleaners were here and my house a disaster for months. So the windows that were installed I am happy with but it was absolutely the most painful part of the process. I think overall; the experience re: windows was the worst of all. Once Rick was involved, things happened quickly and smoothly and he actually went out of his way to take care of some extras that made all the difference. My only caution at this point would be to scour the estimate. Some of the items Rick fought to follow up on were different in the estimate than what was in our original conversations. Ultimately that is on me of course. I am still angry that work agreed upon in our discussions was written up differently. Admittedly, the stress of the time delays and problems made me somewhat desperate to sign and get things moving. That ultimately was to my demise as I had to hire elsewhere to get things finished. So; there were problems with timelines, materials, and the overall process. Rick addressed all of these which brought things to a conclusion that was super smooth and well done. That leads me to believe that if you have the right project manager that the quality and process could go very smoothly. I unfortunately did not have that experience until the end.
