This is a very unreliable service. I signed up for the biweekly service and never missed a schedule or payment. After 4 cleans, they sent an email saying they could no longer provide service with no notice or reason given for their decision. The cleaning service itself was okay but they would constantly miss spots though when you bring it to their attention they would courteously clean the missed areas. To get a proper clean, you have to supervise them which isn’t always feasible because you most likely don’t have the time to supervise. If you want to sign up with them, be prepared for a less than satisfactory clean in addition to being left hanging. Don’t take my word for it. Just Google “The cleaning authority reviews” and see the hundreds of negative reviews out there Look at the reviews from independent sites like glassdoor.ca. I should have researched them better before signing up for sure.

I contacted TCA a month ago to get a quote for monthly or bi-monthly cleaning service. Their website generates a rough estimate based on the information given. I was able to book an in-person quote very quickly, and John stopped by two days later to give me a quote, and some quick tips to make cleaning easier. I booked in immediately and got set up for the following week (amazing!) for bi-monthly cleaning sessions. I was given a rough time of when they would arrive. They got straight to work, and were extremely kind when I talked with them. Honestly my fiancee was very hesitant for the cleaning service, but just seeing that first clean after only 2 hours, he was convinced. I got a million pictures, and a phone call from him praising the work that our cleaning team: Carolyn, Tristen, and Katrina did. We've now had our 2nd clean, and we're still just as impressed as we were the first time. Their prices are amazing, their customer service is fantastic, and their cleaning is well worth it.

I am late to write this review due to personal reasons but I here goes. I purchased a 4-5yr old Condo in Oakville in excellent condition beginning of this year, however I still wanted a good cleaning done before my stuff came in. I contacted a few other providers but CA was quick to touch base and show up to view the place & give me a quote. For me the initiative/eagerness is what got them the job. During the visit the person was quick to compliment that it won't need that much work but I was clear and used the term "*I still want them to do a deep clean and make sure they go through everything while it is empty." ... The appointment was scheduled and the two girls showed up to clean the place. I stayed out of their way and let them do their thing. Exactly 1hr and 20minutes later they told me they were done. I was a bit dazzled and didn't want to push them to stay so I left it at that. I touched base with their owner about it all clearly stating that I was not happy with their service. Clearly they don't know what a Move-In Deep Clean is. They did a good job with just cleaning an empty condo (not worth my $70+) but didn't take any time with any details at all. Would definitely not recommend for a move-in or move out clean at all. They might be alright for regular cleaning but it was a huge disappointment as they wasted my time a lot and cause me quite a bit of hindrance when my stuff arrived.

Update: John called after this review and offered a visit from a Quality Inspector, Dorothy, who checked the clean and did additional cleaning where required. Dorothy did a great job! We may give the Cleaning Authority another try with a different team. Initial review: Very unprofessional experience. There is a mandatory two deep cleans when you're a new customer. Photo attached of a quick swab I did of the floors after the cleaners left having finished their "deep clean" - the floors were still filthy, as shown. I emailed John Waller - the owner. He gave me a $50 discount and a "sorry it didn't work out". So in the end I paid $100 for my floors to be dirty, washrooms barely cleaned, no dusting of baseboards, etc.

I take pride in my home and usually keep it extremely clean. Having a new baby, I am not able to upkeep my home to the same standard before baby. My husband thought that he would be nice and have cleaners in while I was away last week. He chose this company as we had recently received a flyer in the mail. I gave one star as it was not possible to give none. I have nothing good to say about the service and am posting this review in the hopes that I can save other people from hiring this company. As soon as I went into the kitchen I noticed the scratches that were left all down our stainless steel fridge. My husband, who doesn't notice anything having to do with the house, had also noticed the scratching right away. My husband had communicated prior to the company cleaning that the stainless steel appliances were not to be cleaned - this was clearly ignored. The damage done to our home did not stop there, as there are many new scratches to our hardwood floor, including one that is about a foot long. The steel drain tops of our bathroom sinks are also heavily scratched now. Needless to say, I would expect a cleaning company to take care in their technique and supplies so that damage is avoided. The extent of the scratches left on multiple surfaces in our home would not make up for even the best cleaning, which this was not. Here are a few highlights: 1. Only 1 of 6 slat blinds were cleaned. 2. Window ledges were cleaned only in some rooms. 3. I assumed he asked them not to clean the basement as it looked as though it had hardly been touched - glass desks had the same marks as before and the tiles in front of the patio door were untouched. 4. Dirt along tracks of sliding doors was left. 5. Dirt at side windows of front door was left. 6. Fronts of mirrored bedside tables were not cleaned. 7. Some surfaces were not fully dusted. 8. Mirrored closet doors at the entrance way were left with cleaning product residue all over them. 9. Neither set of patio doors were cleaned. 10. The inside of the microwave was not cleaned. I could add more to this list, but am hoping that this will give you the general synopsis of the quality of cleaning that this company delivers. In conclusion, I am posting this review in the hopes that you will think twice about hiring this company, and avoiding the same disappointment in having your home damaged to the extent that ours was. My husband followed up with the company about the damage but has not heard back. He didn't mention anything about the quality of cleaning as there is no way that we would allow these cleaners back into our home and the damage done is far more of an issue with us then the money wasted on the crappy cleaning job.

I was very disappointed with this company. I had set up biweekly cleaning with them and liked that they were going to use natural products since I have young children. For the first cleaning the girls that came were unprofessional and inexperienced, some only been cleaning a few months. One of them broke something in my bathroom (which is ok I understand accidents happen) but she failed to clean up the shards of glass which she left on the floor for my kids to find! They left their cleaning rags and gloves and garbage on my counters around the house. They were out the door when I had to point out that they didn't vacuum some rooms and didn't mop some. They arrived without their mops and buckets and needed to use mine and asked me for my own product to use. They talked rudely to each other and the owner on the phone. What they did clean didn't even look clean and my sinks were still dirty. I have used many other companies before and was quite let down by the whole experience.

Even though I am now working from home, I will continue to use their services since it is such a joy to not have to worry about cleaning. I've been telling family and friends to take the money they would usually use for a massage or dinner out and get their house cleaned, it's absolutely worth it.
