We got referral of Competitive Renovations from one of the friends. Cody came to inspect the basement and gave us a detailed quote for the renovation. All my emails and questions on the quote were answered promptly and with details. Jeff was assigned as the project manager and Shawna the office manager and team did an excellent job. Cody and his crew are amazing! His company was recommended to me by my sister who has used him a couple of times, so I called him and a few others Brockville renovation companies for a quote. Shortly after he came by to check out the kitchen and discuss ideas. I received a VERY detailed quote via email from Shawn his office manager. I was extremely impressed at the breakdown, it left no question as to cost and payment schedule, timeline for the project etc

I contacted this company back in August. Cody came to my house to provide me with an estimate to finish my basement. When he came and saw the job he seemed rushed, and not interested at all. He barely asked many questions and was more worried about his dog he had in his car then taking time to ask what we wanted. He was in and out in less then 15 minutes and said he would be sending the quote. A month went by and when I contacted the office to see where my estimate was I was told by their receptionist that she would bug Cody to get it out to me. It is now November and I have not heard from the rep or company regarding my quote. If they were uninterested in the job they should have been upfront and said that when they were here instead of wasting my time and letting me think they were interested. In my opinion they were unprofessional from start to finish. I would not contact them unless you want to be lied to and have your time wasted.

Recently purchased a home in brockville and the realtor raved about the "new roof done by competitive roofing/renovations" last summer. First month in the house noticed there was a leak and had another company in to look. Quality of work on the "new roof" was incredibly lacking. Had to have another company come in and put an entire new roof on. Tried calling multiple times in the fall but could never get through. When I did get through the girl on the other line was incredibly rude, accusatory and unprofessional. Overall would not recommend. Could have been a bad experience as other reviews seem to be okay, but it was not a professional experience on all levels

We asked for a quote to install 2 doors. The price looked good so we went with them. They didn't phone us for 7 MONTHS! Finally saying it was ready, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to go for it even though we thought they took off. They scheduled 4 different days to do the work. Each time they didn't show up, didn't contact us in any way. Then finally they send us an e-mail saying the doors are the wrong size after all. The incompetence and lack of communication with these people is LEGENDARY. I'm now hiring literally anyone else to do this job. These people are a joke.
