We had a hornets nest on the second floor of our house, hidden in the soffit and/or wall. My normal pest guy said he couldn't do it without help from a handyman...blah blah. Truly Nolen quoted me $295+tax. These guys did it for $125+tax. The employee was friendly, clean cut, professional and had the right tools. Took him less than 15 minutes and they guarantee the work for 100 days. Paid by visa. Would definitely use them again.

Terrible. The pest specialist said he'd do a heat treatment for bed bugs, then after my landord decided it was too expensive for him, the pest specialist (Steve) said they don't offer heat treatents in the company and will only use a spray. I thought Steve wrote a letter saying he didn't see the bedbug I and him both saw together in my place, but found out the landlord had forged it. He refused to mention the bug he saw though and made me look like an idiot. He said they only do sprays and do not offer heat treatemnt. According to the website this is untrue. I would not trust him again and am weary of all pest control people now.

March 2nd at 12:30 pm (Island Hwy in Nanaimo). The Abell driver was tailing my wife car aggressively. My wife is novice driver and needed to turn left up ahead. Which is why we were on the left lane, otherwise we would of been on the right lane. Please relax and understand not everyone can go 10 over the posted speed limit. I will take this review down if this issue gets addressed.

I called Abell as I suspected I had mice in my crawl space. The lady that answered the phone was very helpful and courteous, she explained the process and the cost. Nathan, one of Abell’s technicians arrived on time and followed all safety protocols. Nathan was professional and courteous and soon found the entry-point. He blocked the hole, set traps and informed me that he would be back in a week. On the day of the follow up visit I received a text message saying that Nathan was unwell and wouldn’t be coming. I left it a couple of days and then tried to contact him to see if someone would come in his place ...... nothing! Another two days and I called the office, lots of promises but no action. Another two days and I called and asked to speak to a manager, I was informed (very politely) that there was no manager available but one would call me back. Again.... nothing! At this point I had to deal with the traps and dead mice myself, not a difficult job but considering that Abell charges $350 for their service I shouldn’t have had to. Another two days and I called again, once again I was politely told that a manager was not available. At this point I asked for my money back. I was informed by the lady I was speaking to that she was not authorized to give refunds, I asked to speak to a manager again. After a couple of hours the manager did call, and after much discussion they reluctantly gave me my money back less a $75 charge for the first visit. Communication is a fundamental necessity for any business, however based on my experiences with Abell it is a skill that they need to improve on. To add insult to injury, two days later Nathan arrived for his follow up visit. Follow up: When Nathan originally visited he found the entry point that the mice were using, it was a vent that had come loose. Nathan assured me he had fixed it. Today I checked the vent to find that Nathan’s “fix” was to put two sticky mouse glue traps over the vent. Of course being outside in the damp they had both fallen off exposing the entry point again. This is clearly not a correct or appropriate way to fix anything and I am disgusted that this type of shoddy workmanship would be condoned or used by any company advertising their services as “professional”.

Honestly a terrible company and the experience I had with them was traumatic. I would never allow them in my home again. They were treating my old building for bed bugs after someone brought them in, they spread. Shawn with Abell tried to make me feel like I was crazy, I would show him the bed bug in a zip lock bag and he acted like I staged it there or something and that it was crazy that I thought (knew) I had bed bugs. He tried to say I got them from work. Despite him treating over half of the building for bugs. After realizing how useless he was I decided I had to move, and I did. I do home care and was terrified of bringing them to my clients home. Fast forward six months after I move out, I see an ad for the exact unit I lived in, someone posted it for sublet and I already knew they must have been trying to get out of their lease because of the bed bugs. I sent them a message to tell them to get a doctor's note and get out of the lease that way. The poor lady who barely speaks any English said that Shawn made her feel like she was crazy too, Shawn also said that she brought them from work, and Shawn knew full well that they were in there prior to this lady moving because I had them when I was there. He acted completely clueless knowing full well that I went through hell with them a few months prior. They gave her the same old story and I couldn't believe it.. Terrible company, huge money grab. I guess if there was no bed bugs Shawn and many of his co workers would be out a job. Why else would he have no interest in getting rid of them? He's unprofessional, not trustworthy and I wouldn't allow him in my home again. I've been making sure everyone I know is aware of what this company is doing and will continue to do so.

We had our home in the country sprayed for cluster flies, and although we understood it greatly reduced them...and expected to see a few...we literally had NONE.....since she sprayed. It was amazing.
