ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. $800 gone forever... for nothing.... I thought using a professional cleaning service would leave my home spotless and tidy. Boy was I wrong. Three women came into my house and "cleaned" for 3.5 hours. That's over 10 hours of "work". When I came home, I thought they'd been called away early for an emergency or something because nothing had changed from when I left. I have no idea what they were doing for 3.5 hours in my house, but it wasn't cleaning. There were still urine stains on our toilets. They cleaned AROUND the things on every counter. They vacuumed AROUND our kids clothes that were on the floor next to the laundry bins. They didn't vacuum a single corner or edge in the whole house. They didn't dust our door trims or the blinds. I honestly thought they had been called away until I emailed the owner and found out they were just terrible cleaners. The owner came over and vacuumed the corners and edges, cleaned the toilets, dusted and said it wasn't their policy to move things that were on the floor or tidy the house at all. He was nice and apologetic but I would never ever recommend using this "professional cleaning service" to anyone.

The cleaners themselves were great however the booking process was a bit of an ordeal. We were quoted $450 for a three hour clean which we were bluntly told was the going industry rate. This rate is grossly excessive and is NOT normal when compared to comparable services. We went ahead with the clean for this time because the gift cards were already purchased for it (gift to my mother in law from the children) but will go with another cleaner for ongoing service in the future.

Our team of Danielle and Cheryl arrived to do a first, deep clean at the end of a full day. That didn't matter and nor did all the dog hair. They did a great job. Full marks!

It is now almost three years since I last used Molly Maid Victoria. At the time I opted not to review them as I don’t like to leave negative reviews and I felt like I was too close to the event to make sure I was seeing it clearly. With that said, I am moving back to the island and was surprised to find that, in considering hiring cleaners for the move into our new house, I still have vivid negative memories about the lack of professionalism displayed by the owner. This made me think that I really should post a review after all. My wife and I were moving out of Victoria for work with our newborn in tow. We booked cleaning through Molly Maid without incident. Ahead of our cleaning appointment the owner asked to change our cleaning time twice and we were fine to re-arrange our schedule to accommodate. Doing so did, however, leave us with compressed timelines on the date of the actual clean. On the day, the cleaners called to ask if we could move our appointment time a few hours earlier as someone had cancelled on them. Unfortunately I was not able to do so and I said as much. Five minutes later I received a call from Paula (I gather she is the owner) asking again that I bump my appointment up. It seemed a reasonable request but I couldn’t meet these new timings. I said that I could receive them 30 minutes early but not as early as she had asked for. What followed was 15-20 minutes out of a reality TV show. She variously tried to guilt, bully, insult and generally coerce me into the new timings. As I couldn’t support them, I didn’t. She then called my wife (secondary number on the reservation) and tried to convince her of the same. In the end, the crew came in 30 minutes early and did a pretty good job cleaning our place. I tipped them well as she had indicated that they would sit unpaid for the period I didn’t allow them to come early.. That is the whole event. It wasn’t earth shattering and for some it may not affect their decision making at all. It is possible that you could hire Molly Maid and have a good experience. Additionally, I f you would like a free reality tv experience then you can do so and be inflexible when they seek to change your appointment. If, on the other hand, you want a simple cleaning experience without unnecessary ancillary drama, look elsewhere.

Absolutely a waste of money! I will NEVER call this maid service again. They came to my house this afternoon to do a "deep clean," which we asked specifically for them to clean inside all kitchen appliances including the fridge and deep clean bathrooms and vacuum all the rooms. While they did a good job cleaning in the bathroom as for the toilets and tubs, the carpets had only been half vacuumed, the rugs hadn't been vacuumed at all, the hardwood floor had streaks and spots all over it, there was dust left on my counters and windowsills (blinds weren't even wiped), my fridge was only half cleaned with stains left, none of my other appliances were cleaned, there was dirt and crumbs left on my kitchen floor, they didn't even attempt to clean under the table in my hallway, the windows we specifically asked to be cleaned weren't even touched—in the least of words I can say it was a waste of over $200. My 7 month old son could have cleaned my house better! Worst maid service I've EVER seen! So very disappointed!

I hired Molly Maid Victoria for a one off cleaning. I was a little concerned having read some of the reviews; however, Paul with whom I spoke to arrange the service was thorough and polite. The two women who showed up to clean the house were thorough, lovely, polite, good with my animals and not at all intrusive. I haven't had my final invoice but I'm expecting it to be $$$.

We made the unfortunate mistake of using Molly Maid Victoria for our move out clean January 31, 2015 and I'm only now able to discuss it calmly. We were quoted based on the job requirements listed for a major property management company in the city. They, as a cleaning company should be familiar with those requirements but I listed some parts individually, (Oven, windows inside and out, blinds, walls) and were quoted $340 and with a substantial overage allowance, and gratuity a maximum of $550 was approved with our company for coverage. They arrived with one more person than quoted, and some of the cleaning had been done by myself prior. They refused to use the check list provided by the property management company, they left my stove and oven (claiming falsely that I had said it was self cleaning) they lied to our faces about having done light fixtures that were later found to be dirty, they did not do floors, they told us in person they don't do blinds or exterior windows (they should have said so on the phone), and left half my kitchen not done, (marks inside cupboards, a few crumbs inside one, stove/oven not done at all) and they billed us more than the quote allowed. We lost hundreds on our damage deposit due to their shoddy workmanship. When my property manager was unhappy with the job they did, the manager of Molly Maids proceeded to shout and berate her for 10 or so minutes on my inspection day. When we were unhappy with being billed more than the approved quote (we had reiterated this amount to Molly Maids several times over the few weeks before the job) we were shouted at for over an hour by this manager on the telephone. I do not recommend this company, ever. I had to go to head office to get my refund back to the approved dollar, and still am out what was taken from my damage deposit. That, and my my place was mostly clean, very little was actually checked off by them since they refused the check list.

You will never come across a person in customer service as rude as Paul, the general manager. My wife and I booked a cleaning on Wednesday. That evening we decided to list our condo a week later and thus needed to push the cleaning date by 1 week. Upon calling Thursday, under 24 hours from the original booking, Paul absolutely lost it on my wife stating that their entire week was based on our Monday morning clean and that the "contract" clearly states we need to provide 1 week notice of change. We attempted to change the booking less than 24 hours after our first call. We did not want to cancel, we wanted to change the date of a $500 cleaning. After this treatment of my wife I called Paul and got the exact same treatment. I let him know that we would no longer be changing the booking, we would be cancelling it. The "contract" is completely unenforceable and this was bar none the worst client experience I have ever heard of. My wife and I are both in client service and were in absolute disbelief at this mans actions. Not only lost his company $500+, but also lost the opportunity for his cleaners to make a sizable tip. Will not ever use this company and will advise everyone in our extensive network to avoid them like the plague.

I had booked several weeks ago for my move out clean. All of my friends told me i was crazy to book with Molly Maid, why didn't i just get someone cheaper off craigslist? With all the crazy snow here, i was freaking out, but guess who came to my rescue? Molly Maid, that's who! The staff was running late but the office called to reassure me that they were on their way! One of my friends who has one of those cheaper cleaners never did hear from them this week at all! Cannot recommend enough, i wish there were more stars to give!

Same team same time same perfect work. Covid update: they show up in PPE and want me out of the place. Really that's for the best. When you have the same staff for years, trust is not an issue. This was the nudge I needed to give them a key. Thanks for diligently protecting all your customers, even if some of us were a little cranky about it!!!

NEVER RECOMMEND!!! The cleaning was never up. The worker was unclean a lots place and over charge. WITHOUT EXPLANATION! I had tried another cleaning company who shall remain nameless, but their service and cleaning was truly terrible after not once, but twice (second time to clean up the first effort) doing an extremely poor cleaning in both visits. In the end I had guests arriving in a day. Molly Maid not only responded immediately to accommodate an impossible deadline, they continued to do cleanings throughout the summer, often with last minutes changes in times and dates...………...they responded every time quickly and efficiently. The cleaning was excellent too. First class. I will use them every year and am very comfortable recommending them.

Molly Maid has been our cleaning service for 3 years. Due to Covid we have had few overnight guests. Last week our grandsons, 8 and 10, came to stay and brought back lots of sand from the beach and dripped some lemonade about etc. It was quite a sticky mess! I've had Molly Maid for the last 2 years and always had great service. They've always been quick to respond to me if I had to make a change to my cleans (Vacations, etc). I've now moved away for work and had them in for a final clean. My building manager was super impressed, and she's a neat freak! I hope they have Molly Maid where i'm moving to.

I was contacted by Molly Maid to see if they could do anything to fix the issues I was concerned about. We had a nice long chat about my experience and I must say we came to an agreement beneficial to us both. It was so nice and unexpected that this would happen. I am happy with the agreement we came to and thank Molly Maid for caring about my experience.

Booked to clean as a prep for sale. The women who came were polite and friendly however I will need to clean after service because the cleaning was inadequate for a clean to put our condo on the market. As well as there was still mildew left on our showers dirty baseboards in the washroom, couch didn't look like it was vacuumed and sawdust from a recent reno was left in the livingroom. Not worth the money. I will admit that I did not read all the details of what they would or would not clean before I booked the cleaning. The day we booked I asked about the details of the clean I found out that they would not do the inside of the cupboards or wash the walls. My definition of a clean for sale must be different than theirs. I wanted to cancel but there policy is you have to cancel before 7 days before the cleaning and it would be too late to cancel. Paid a bunch of money and now I still have a lot of cleaning to do. Disappointed. Will not hire again.

I recently had Molly Maid in to do a clean before a big work related party and the office staff worked really hard to fit my clean in at the last minute. I can't believe what a great job they did! The cleaners found stuff to clean that I didn't EVER think would look new again! I will totally call them again! Used them again this year, as before was totally awesome!

We were quoted a price for two "cleaners" for two hours ($140/hr). Three people showed up, and "cleaned". The kitchen cupboards were not cleaned at all. The fridge was not touched. The oven was halfway decent, although there was residue from the cleaner left inside. And that was just the kitchen! Most of the walls were not touched at all. I don't know what three people did for two hours, but they figured it was worth $456.75!!

I was recommended to use Molly Maid from my occupational therapist..as I am recovering from a accident (concussion and mobility) and needed assistance with cleaning. I also was in the midst of moving (very stressful) with 4 cleaning appointments in the works. The whole process in dealing with the company was touch and go. The last conversation a few days ago with the owner was so unprofessional...she was rude and talked down to me..her tone was evasive so I told her to never mind continuing the service. I was shocked to hear she was the owner. I would NEVER recommend her company. I feel sorry for the two lovely girls that work for her!!! I saw other write ups amongst these reviews and similar comments.

I work in customer service and have bad customers but I would never imagine someone driving a car with a company name on it and still have awful customer service. You should NOT give someone a company car with no customer service. I would NEVER deal with them again. Don’t waste your money.

Even after 2 years, the cleaners impress me every week. I have recently been quite ill and the team has worked around clutter, home care, doctor's appointments and me resting in the home. Not a good service. Girls reached late by half an hour. One of the girl was rude and did not complete the scheduled work in 3 hrs, it took 4 hour. Called to check the completed work but was not ready to show the work done. Will not recommend Molly Maid to anyone

Cleanliness has always been important to me, and Molly Maid is the first cleaner I have had that I have been satisfied with the quality of their work. They clean my office one week and my home the next. They are reliable and trustworthy and they put items back exactly as I had them which is not always the case. I would NEVER in a million years use Molly Maids. I had a rental of about 1000 sf with wood floors 3 bedroom and one small bathroom. The place was totally empty and they charged me $850.00 to have it cleaned. This was not a dirty place its just that the tenant who moved out ended up in the hospital and was unable to come back and clean. DON'T give them your visa number! Get it in writing what the price is. When I stopped by the ladies doing the job there were looking at me with a feel sorry for you look. I couldn't put my finger on it at the time. Now I get it. I think they are fully aware of the scam they do on people. I did voice my amazement of the price and after a few discussions they offered me $100.00 towards my next clean. Really?! As if I would ever work with someone so deceptive again.

I have had Molly Maid for about 6 months now and as a single guy living in Langford with a pet, and working a fulltime (and then some) career, I have to say that these guys are amazing! I come home from work now and my place is clean, I can focus on taking the dog for a walk and then making dinner. Afterwards I get free time to unwind and read or watch TV, I don't have to worry about vacuuming up dog hair or cleaning toilets. It really is a nice feeling and honestly worth it. They take the worry out of having company over, no giant clean required. I would recommend this to any family who both work full time, or anyone single with a job! It really is great, and they do a fantastic job!
