I’ve had two experiences with Molly Maids (and intended to have more). First experience was great. They came in, chatted with me about expectations then proceeded to efficiently clean my home in the predetermined amount of time.
My second experience was terrible. Aside from the windows in one room being cleaner and my kitchen cabinet fronts being wiped, it really looked as though my home had not been touched at all. In fact many items were much worse than when they arrived. They moved item into the middle of the room (presumably to clean around them) but failed to move them back afterwards. Items in the bathroom like the garbage and toilet paper holder had been moved to the middle of the room, but the floors didn’t even get a sweep. They were never returned to their original place (or any logical place for that matter). Things like the table runner was moved to “clean around” but never put back.
I had the place cleaned not even a week prior so I assumed their job would be easier and more efficient than the previous team, but it was the opposite. My large dog bed was moved into the middle of the living room and not cleaned behind at all. Coffee table wasn’t even wiped let alone organized. One of the cleaners decided to start cleaning my toaster oven (not requested by me) but instead of finishing she just left all the internal parts in a pile in the sink... uncleaned
It’s literally more disheveled than when they arrived.
The worst part was that I hired the cleaners because I had a recent hip surgery and am physically unable to do it myself. When I called the office to ask them to get someone to come move my furniture back (chairs, stools, dog bed, garbage cans etc) and tell them about the terrible job they had done, they said my team had gone home. The man on the phone was also very skeptical of my complaint asking if they had ran out of time. I told him I didn’t know what he could possibly mean by that because they were aware of how much time they had, and shouldn’t have started things (like that toaster oven) if they didn’t have time to finish them. He offered me no solution to fixing the problem until my next scheduled visit (in one weeks time).
I promptly told him to cancel my next visit.
In the photos you can see the state that just a few items were left in (there are many more bizarre and unhelpful aspects not photographed). Also keep in mind most were tidy before they came. I can’t even wrap my mind around it and am just glad I didn’t plan for this to be before a special event.
The customer service I received on the phone made it all the worst.
Given the second experience and the way it was handled (or not handled) on the phone I could not in good faith recommend this company.
