Westside was great to deal with and I will be recommending them to friends and family. This was my first time purchasing a new Furnace and I had gotten multiple quotes to compare. Kevin took the time to help me and my wife understand what we were getting and why it was necessary or not necessary. His communication was excellent and much appreciated for a first time home owner. Everyone we interacted with were clean, professional and on time. I feel we got the "extra mile" treatment on a few little things that needed to be done while they were at our house. They definitely care about customer service and making the process as pain free as possible. The installation with all the ducting, wiring, piping looks very clean, tidy and professional. They will be my first call for any future plumbing/heating needs.

Short form: No matter what is wrong they'll just try to sell you a new unit. Long form: The condenser fan for our AC unit stopped while I was away for work, and for reference we've only been in the house a couple weeks. My wife called Westside and asked for an estimate, which on their website says is free. The lady on the phone said it would cost us money, until my wife said we would simply use another company. Then suddenly we could have a free estimate. A few hours later a technician named Kevin called my wife and said that the fan was indeed no good. He then went on to tell her that it would be at least 500 dollars to fix, and that she should just install a new unit and finance it through hydro. After my wife called me and we discussed it, we decided to wait until I was home. After I had got back home, I quickly realized that the technician could not have done much looking, as the screws on the unit had not been removed in recent memory. After quickly checking that the capacitor was good, I removed the motor and fan blade. Took the motor to the NAPA motor shop just off of 18th and they confirmed that the motor was no good. They ordered me a new motor for 95 bucks plus tax. I installed it myself. So for reference, instead of a "minimum 500 dollar job" it cost me about 115 bucks and less than an hour of my time. Very disappointed, as either this guy was trying to bully and lie to my wife about what was wrong because he thought she wouldn't know any better or they don't know their stuff at all. In any case, in the future we will never contact Westside Plumbing and Heating for any reason in the future. No

Terrible experience with these guys. Told us that the only option we had was to get a brand new $4000 air conditioning system after looking at ours for 5 minutes. In actual reality, it was a small fix that took us about 20 minutes to do, and no money at all. After calling and sending in a complaint, we are getting our $140 service fee refunded for his 10 minutes of useless work. We will not be calling this company for their services ever again.

Worst Customer Service I have ever experienced. Kitchen sink started leaking and needed some pipes replaced in the basement. After my initial call, looking to get a rough quote and potential repair date scheduled, the contractor asked for photos to be emailed to make an honest assessment (not the issue). After sending the photos, I waited two weeks with no follow-up, calling numerous times asking to speak with the contractor but he was never available. After three weeks of waiting I called again and was told he would get back to me that day... he never did. Called the office for the final time the next day to talk to a manager, none were available but they were kind enough to send me a two-sentence email with the same quote info I received over the phone (obviously not taking the photos I sent into consideration), pricing me $700 over the other local competitors. I was looking forward to working with this company based on the "glowing" reviews I read online but after this experience would not recommend this company to anyone. If you have a serious plumbing issue that is time sensitive, I suggest reaching out to Brandon Heating & Plumbing, they were able to assess all the aforementioned work in about 30 minutes and had a service call booked the next day.

I most recently had surgery and the following weekend our gas fired hot water tank decided to quit after 10 years. I called Westside weekend emergency service and got a hold of Jay within 3 hours the old tank was taken out and my new tank was installed and we had hot water that night thank you so much

Our hot water tank was leaking and we were over due to have our sewer line router routed. He did not mess around made a plan to router route first then empty the old tank and while that was happening go get the new tank and put it in. He didn't waste any time and got the job done. He was also very pleasant to deal with in general. Will definitely be using them for any other plumbing & heating needs.

We’ve had Westside at all of the homes we’ve owned while living in Brandon, plus provide quotes and options in homes were looking to purchase. Kevin has always been happy to come and spend the required time when we needed options and opinions. Westside has completed full plumbing (bathroom)renovations in a 100+ year old house, installed the biggest and best hwt a family of 5 could ever need. We had a brand new gas furnace and hooked up, new ductwork and heat registers added. We added gas range in this home which was not without the unique challenges a house this age presents. We are now on a rural property which comes with it’s own challenges, and Westside has helped us problem solve humidity issues, help with our water supply and finally help plan out our gas range conversion to propane. Westside also has Lightning Electric working alongside and Aaron has been here doing the electrical side of things. Wonderful electrician! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kevin and his professional crew. They’ve been amazing !!

I have waited nearly 2 years to write this review. I called Westside since my 8 year old furnace would not shut off, and I suspected a sequencer issue. The tech comes over, tells me it is in fact the sequencer but my furnace fan was about to go and he suspected the furnace had many underlying issue. He strongly recommend that I buy a new furnace, and the high end brand was very reliable. I tell him to just do the sequencer for now. The sequencer blows 2 weeks later and I call PlumbWorks. They determine it was the sequencer (which westside just fixed) and fixed it properly for half the price. I asked the tech if I needed a new fan or furnace and he says "absolutely not". My furnance has since been running smoothly the entire 2 years. Simply put, if for whatever reason you decide to call westside, make sure you get another estimate if it is going to be a big job.

Service call to check if the shower they installed months ago was leaking. On the phone I was told there was no way it could be the shower. Yet every time I had a shower, bubbles appeared in the wall and ceiling. On the other hand, during and after two more rains, no bubbles appeared. Technician showed up without a ladder to check the attic and no ladder to check the roof. I had to provide my ladders. The tech and supervisor insist that the roof was leaking causing the water in the wall and ceiling yet only the top of insulation was wet, underneath was dry, and no water marks could be found on any wood surfaces in the attic. When I asked for a guarantee that it wasn’t the shower before spending thousands on new shingles I was told they could not say for sure it wasn’t the shower. Tech did not clean up the mess he left in the bedroom from removing and replacing the attic access door. I would not recommend Westside because they had decided on the cause before even coming out to look at the problem and did not come prepared with the right equipment they needed. $140 charged for a Service Call.

We called just before 5:00 pm and they had someone out within 10 minutes. He fixed the problem the best he could and came back with parts the next day (Saturday) to finish the job! Hello there, I had a terrible service and recommendation from your company. Your employees, 2 guys visited and worked 1 and 20 minites to repair the sewage backup on the basement. Once finishing their work, they charged $350 plus tax. 4days later, sewage backup took place again. Another guy who works for your company visited and repaired. He explained that the former plumbers didn't clean the sewage line from my house to the city sewage line completely so the problem was happend again. Also he suggested I need to change the u trap underground beside toilet. I met another plumber to recieve the estimation to change it and I found out there was no u trap. It was a bad ecperience and I'm really dissapointed your company's work and professionality.
