I was initially happy with the service we recieved back in 2017. I was not home when power vac came but my wife was. She said they were friendly etc. They had done a cleaning on our house back in 2012 and in 2017 we had them back. They made a point to charge additionally for two extra vents in the basement. I had another company; recommended from a friend; in to clean our ducts in 2020. They made a great point, the paint on the vents hadn't been broken. This is 20+ year old paint over the screws. I watched them remove these vents and struggle to break the paint seal on them. Followed by cleaning out the most qoute "brutally dirty" vents in the entire house. I had Power Vac in my home to clean my vents. In 2012 and 2017, the charged additional fees for two basement vents they never even attempted to clean. They rest of the service was alright but the corner cutting and billing for those additional vents is just dishonest and lazy. To reiterate, this basement is old, with 20+ year old paint and both times we were charged afditional to clean them. Both times they were neglected. Left filthy.

We moved into our 18 year old house recently and I discovered that the ducts and vents have never been cleaned! After major reno work here there was a lot of debris and dust build up. Harmon came and did a fantastic job. My daughter was suffering from daily nose bleeds since we moved in and after Harmon was here, she has not had one nose bleed! I spoke with Christine several times on the phone about the issues and problems I was having with my dryer and the vent. She was amazing at reassuring me that they would after it. My dryer vent is a long run of 25 feet. No problem for the crew. The first working came and did his best and we thought the was clear. Unfortunately, I had to place a recall because my dryer still would not run. So, when Jeremy came, he again was very professional and said we will get you looked after. He did an amazing job and blew the line out so I could clearly see that nothing was blocking this vent. I will be calling Power Vent soon to clean the rest of the ducts in the house. I recently used Power Vac services on the recommendation of an HVAC contractor who serviced my furnace and central aircon system. Power Vac proved to be an excellent referral. Communication and scheduling was stress-free. They were accommodating when I called three days prior to service to reschedule. On the day of service, the technician, Kyle called to ask if he could arrive earlier as some of his other work had been cancelled. We were able to sort out a convenient time for us both. Kyle arrived when he said he would. He was cheerful, quick, easy to work with, and left without a trace, except that all my registers and ducts were cleaned as requested. I highly recommend this service provider! My gratitude goes out to Kyle and the dispatcher, whose name I've unfortunately forgotten.

This was a first for me - I'd always associated duct cleaning with the annoying telemarketing calls. To be clear Power Vac did not call me - I called them after a referral from my neighbour. But wow - the service was great - the technician was friendly & professional, explained how it worked and what he was doing. He also brought to my attention, a cold air return that wasn't connected. The whole process took about 2 hours and we've noticed an improvement in air quality since it was done. The quoted price was what I paid even though I did have one vent more than the quote included. Unfortunately my experience with Power Vac was not a great experience. I booked a morning appointment and the truck showed up at 1pm. I was late leaving for a meeting because of that. The tech came to the door without wearing a mask. When he was finished my furnace/AC would not start up. The tech's interac machine was broken. Why show up then? The owner did offer to make restitution for my trouble. I declined because I felt that it would not be fair to accept it knowing that I would be making this review.

I was disappointed with this service, especially after seeing so many positive reviews. The cleaning process was fine, but after the technician left I put my 10 month old daughter on the floor and luckily noticed there was a very long (almost a foot) shard of wood. I then had to spend the entire rest of my day scouring the house as I found several more large splinters of wood around the house (including in the very obvious baby play area), as well as other debris that came from the vents. I also did not realize my thermostat had been adjusted and not corrected and all my vents were closed and not re-opened. Lastly, the Power Vac van parked next to our car and coated the car in a pink substance? Luckily it washed off with water. I do not know if these are normal things to encounter after a duct cleaning, as this was our first experience, but some more communication with the company if this is normal would be beneficial. My daughter could have been seriously injured by any of the sharp scraps of wood.

I was pretty upset with these guys because I was told all my ducts were all cleaned but I realized they didn't even open one of my ducts... did they open any? I don't know... I trusted them to do the duct cleaning without me being at the house, BIG mistake. I guess I had to supervise them to make sure the work was being done? I called back and I was told "they didn't clean the duct because they didn't want to chip my paint off the ones that were painted over". In their defense, some of my ducts were painted over. BUT why charge me for ducts that weren't cleaned? I consider that fraud. Charging me for a service that wasn't completed... I will accept that I got scammed for $300 and call someone else that will actually do the service that they are being paid for. Pathetic.

So many good things to say!! We called late in the day, and they were the only company (found on Google) that answered the phone! Plus, got an appointment super fast. They arrived shortly before the appointment time. Everyone was very friendly - from booking the appointment to the team that came to our house. Price was very good. We just bought an older home, with a previous smoker, and we renovated with a lot of dust - the heat came on and no smell at all! We highly recommend Power Vac.

It was a colder than expected morning and she worked diligently as the home was steadily dropping in temp due to the need to keep a door open for the vacuum pipe. The system they have works extremely well as my wife and I heard (what sounded like small rocks) being vacuumed through the pipe, she even found a couple small balls likely from previous owners. To start, I HIGHLY recommend Power Vac. My daughter had dropped a very sentimental piece of jewelry down the air duct. After cutting up my arms pretty badly trying to get it back, I called Power Vac to see if they could come over and help retrieve it as it was totally out of sight. I spoke with a manager who was very honest and said that it wouldn't make sense for them to do the work because once it was vacuumed up it would be like trying to find a needle in haystack. He took the time to think through some DIY options and gave me some suggestions to get it back myself. Within 2 minutes his first suggestion had retrieved the cross! Our family is so happy and grateful. No question we'll be using their services in the future and telling all of our friends and family.

They came on a recommendation. They seemed to do a good job: it's been 3 weeks, and most of the dog smell is gone (previous owner's). However, while they were here (8-10am), my bike was stolen from the garage. It was open because they said they needed the most direct access to the backyard to the basement winfow. Anyway, I think it could have been avoided with another access point, which was not offered. Nor did they point out that the garage was going to be open, so take precautions . I called the office later to discuss this problem, and the owner seemed to think I was making an accusation against his workers, and reacted defensively, which I didn't really appreciate. My bike is still missing, so instead of costing around $300, it cost me well over $1200. I won't be recommending this company, as I feel they were negligent in how they communicated about completing their work and their disregard for our property's safety.

Power Vac arrived on time, and the young gentleman got right to work, mentioning that he was pleased with the preparation work I had done. He went about his business extremely efficiently, and pointed out a couple of things we didn't know about. We have had the ducts cleaned before, but nobody, not even the installers of our new furnace noticed the construction garbage in our cold air return that is not connected to our furnace. This time I had an excellent technician, Mark Abrillio. He was courteous, professional, thorough and very pleasant to deal with, unlike the technician who came the last time. It all comes down to whom they send. The booking and billing components were efficient and straight forward. If this company had a camera service to demonstrate before and after re: duct interior, it would be a major plus in my opinion. There's a lot left to trust when it comes to duct and vent cleaning, as we well know from watching marketplace on CBC.

In my case, I paid less than I was quoted because I actually had less vents in my house so Shaun Dwinell adjusted the price to the correct amount.
