The guys showed up exactly when they said they would, were very courteous and did a fantastic job cleaning our Napoleon Built-in BBQ. They even recommended a list of parts that would be appropriate for replacing...due to TSSA rules they are not allowed to do the replacement but I was fine with that. Great service!

I clean my bbq two to three times a year but I was lucky enough to win a complementary cleaning through a local radio station contest. The Canadian Bbq boys came by June 2nd and gave my 10yr old Weber Genesis S330 a deep clean. My expectations for an old bbq that gets used heavily year round, were fairly low but they knocked it out of the park. The grills and fire box are cleaner than they've been since year 1. And the exterior is gleaming. I would certainly book them again every two years or so for a real hearty scrub.

Very deceitful Territory Manager and poor service in Ottawa! Had the Territory Manager and another team member come to clean my bbq. My appointment was in the afternoon and they showed up in the morning. Fortunately, I was home. They only used light strokes while cleaning the bbq, no elbow grease at all. As a result, the interior of the bbq didn’t look much different after they were finished than it did before they started. After they were finished and ready to leave, I noticed the stainless steel exterior cabinet still had food stains on it and looked dull. When I asked them if it had been polished as part of the service I paid for, they indicated they couldn’t because it was lightly raining. However, they didn’t bring this to my attention and were ready to leave without offering a discount for not completing the entire service I paid for or offering to come back on another day to complete the service. Another option could have been to use the tarps they had with them to cover the bbq or ask to use my garage to keep the bbq dry. Upon pressing a little further as to why the bbq exterior couldn’t be cleaned, I was informed by the Territory Manager that the polish they use contains a chemical that reacts with water and becomes toxic and this wouldn’t be a good idea next to a cooking surface where I place food. This makes me very uneasy about the cleaning products they are using. I have called the owner of the company and he is not returning my call. A complete waste of money!!

I ordered a new BBQ handle for my Broil King. After finding the right handle on the Broil King web site, the only place I could find it was from the Canadian BBQ Boys. Ordered and paid for the handle and then waited and waited and waited. Finally after 4 months the handle showed up and you guessed it...……..wrong handle. The handle was short so I drilled new holes to make the handle fit as I was not going to spend any more money returning, reordering and waiting. I am disappointed that there was no contact or any communication to verify the order or advise the handle may have not been available.

Their team was great; took the appropriate safety measures during Covid-19 and everything was done very professionally. I have a 7-year-old Weber BBQ that was quite dirty. Great Job Canadian BBQ Boys! I decided to try their service after a couple years of neglect (as I usually clean the BBQ myself). Got to the point that I didn't have the time or effort to get it done this year., again! That being said they got my stainless grills finally clean, and the bottom of the BBQ is like new. Fires up easier and heats up much quicker. A few spots that nothing could be done, and crevices to small and narrow to get 100% and the team members pointed them out to me. I consider myself to be a smart man, and realized from the initial email and quote it wouldn't be 100%. To those complaining about their service, if you want 100% do it YOURSELF or buy a brand new BBQ. These guys are a big help, but not magicians. Only complaint, so to speak, they arrived 1.5 hours early, but for good reason, as they narrowly missed a rain storm shortly after finishing. Take the day off, I was off, so it was no big deal. Anyways, I'm pleased with the results. Now for healthier, cleaner grilling!

Unfortunately, I had a poor experience. After the cleaning, my BBQ wouldn't start. I worked with them to troubleshoot. Their best guess was spider webs in the burner tubes (which i'm surprised they didn't clean as part of service). After I cleaned those, still didn't work. They were unwilling to send someone to help, so I called someone else. The new BBQ repair team I called discovered that the cleaner had simply left the side burner on, so no gas getting to main burner. He also called it the worst cleaning job he had ever seen, pic attached. So...not very good.

I had an appointment scheduled with Canadian BBQ Boys 2 weeks in advance. I planned a huge BBQ for the day after they were supposed to clean my BBQ. Now, the day before the scheduled cleaning, they emailed me to inform me that due to the weather (the day before) they will not be able to follow through on the appointment. Had it been raining the day of, I would understand but that's not the case as it is sunny all day. It will be impossible to find another company to clean the BBQ for tomorrow. How do you guys cancel a day before? I took the day off work, planned my time around your cleaning... Not a happy customer. (Update) The owner reached out to me and they have rescheduled the cleaning back to the original date which I'm happy with. Now waiting for the service.

The reviews that matter the most are the ones that share the experiences when things may not go as planned. I have a very expensive LYNX Built in outdoor BBQ. This is my third year using the Canadian BBQ Boys. The team that came to my home and cleaned it were punctual, very friendly and professional. They made my BBQ look like it just came out of the box even though its several years old. Unfortunately the grills were somehow accidentally placed on the front counter of the LYNX BBQ that caused several scratches. I noticed these scratches and emailed BBQ boys. I was grateful for the great service but wanted to share what happened. Within a couple of days Mike was at my home and made sure everything was fixed. The BBQ looked absolutely brand new!! A complete magician!! Now thats caring and professionalism!! I highly recommend Canadian BBQ Boys and there is no way Im ever using another company!!

Will give them another opportunity next year and hopefully its a great experience from the beginning.*** After hearing about these guys on Dragons Den I was looking forward to using their services. Unfortunately, The service received was a let down. It started with taking several days for someone to get back to our inquiry. We waited weeks for them to come only to have our appointment rescheduled 3 times. Today they finally came, although the appointment arrival time was estimated as 12 -1 pm they arrived at approximately 6:40pm. As obviously they wanted to get through their day it appears they very much rushed the job. I would describe the job as 80% complete. Many areas were quite obviously quickly wiped over.Yes, our bbq was quite dirty, why else would we pay the price to have someone clean it? Disappointed to say the least in all around service level. I had hoped that this would be a yearly thing having them clean our bbq but at this point I doubt I would give them my business again. Hopefully, they read this and come back and finish the job.

Nolan and another young man attended my house on Monday to service our 11 yr old Napoleon bbq. It was in desperate need of a major cleaning. My husband was very sceptical about paying someone to do a job that he normally does but he had to admit that he could not have done what they accomplished. Looks like new again. Excellent service. Communication was great, text messages to confirm arrival and no mess left behind. For the price I feel it was well worth it. My BBQ looks like new! The team used a ground sheet, all their own rags and tools. All I had to do was provide a garden hose and turn the water on. Would highly recommend considering we use BBQ's to actually cook our food. Too many grills out there are way past their due date for a good cleaning.

The BBQ boys came on time and stayed for about two hours. They cleaned my 2002-3 era Weber Genesis Gold BBQ using various spray chemicals, steel wool, sandpaper and a scrubbing pad on a drill. The housing, drip pan, side burner and all metal parts, including the inside of the cabinet look great. The stainless steel grates look almost new. No scratches or damage at all. The scrubbed all the grease off the vaporizer bars. They didn't clean the plastic shelves - I assume they don't deal with plastic parts that can be damaged easily. They did all of their work on a large tarp and when they left, you couldn't tell they had been here - other than the clean bbq, which looks great. The simplest way I can put it is that my 18 year bbq now looks like it is 2 years old.

We moved into a home with a large BBQ and because we did not know what shape it was in, we decided to invest in a visit from the Canadian BBQBoys. It was easy to set up the appointment via the internet. The team arrived promptly as promised. In several hours, they had the unit sparkling and more importantly, working much better. They also pointed out potential future issues that we might have to deal with with respect to replacement parts and were very helpful in providing sources for the parts, as our unit was originally purchased in the USA. I called looking for a clean and a potential replacement part. They said they would clean my BBQ but would not do any repairs. I called some of their competitors who were happy to quote on both the cleaning and repair. Sorry this approach doesn't make any sense to me. They are in the BBQ business so repairs should be part of the service I think.

Coming from the service industry I look for certain things when I engage the help of a new business. I can only say that Mike and Matt get it. It's obvious to me they've done their homework on what it takes to provide an excellent service, a service I knew was needed but didn't know was available until they knocked on my door last summer. I'm very particular about the condition of my Weber and thought I was doing a decent job keeping it clean. After seven seasons of use their team cleaned my BBQ to an almost new state. I've always felt that a BBQ is an appliance. We clean our stoves, pots and pans after use, it's just as important from a health aspect to keep our BBQ's clean. A decent BBQ is an investment, I highly recommend giving the Canadian BBQ Boys a call to help prolong the life of that investment.

The company was quick to respond to my email request for information. Laura called me back and answered all my questions about their service. She was very pleasant to deal with so I booked an appointment on the spot. On the day of the appointment, Zach called to confirm what time he would arrive. He was punctual and professional. Part way through the job, he called me out to show me what he had done while the pieces were out of the BBQ so I could see that he had removed the grunge from the bottom. When he was done, the BBQ was nice and clean and "almost new" looking (they can't get rid of ALL the discolouration on the metal parts). He provided all the required tools and cleaning supplies as well as a tarp and a shop vac so there was no greasy BBQ grime on the patio and no garbage for me to dispose of! He followed up with a text message to ensure that I was satisfied with the work he did. I'm impressed with the people and the company. I wouldn't hesitate to use this service again and I've already recommended them to a neighbour! I'm definitely a happy customer in Mississauga, Ontario!

After much online research, we contacted the Canadian BBQ Boys to take on the messy task of cleaning our Weber bbq. The company provided excellent customer service as they responded quickly to our inquiry, set up an appointment date and communicated regularly with us as we moved through the process. They were exceptionally diligent in outlining their health and safety procedures during this period of covid-19. Cynthia and Zack were great. They are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They worked hard for 2 hours to bring our Weber back to looking both new on the inside and out. Quite a bit of marketing smoke and mirrors here and not worth the money in my opinion. They sent 2 kids who cleaned a Napoleon Pro barbecue roughly only a year old in about an hour. Fire box was vacuumed and grills were cleaned well. Did not drill burner tubes and some stainless pieces (lid and closing portion to the fire box)still had build up. The outside of barbecue was literally untouched, cabinets underneath not cleaned. I expected this to be more thorough for that kind of money. We will not use again

Revising my post from below now that the service has been complete. The company was apologetic for the miss in scheduling on my original reservation. They didn't originally do anything to make up for it. They came and did the job and it was to my satisfaction. I wouldn't say it was perfect but all the major cleaning I needed was attended to. After the fact they decided based on the miss in taking the reservation that they would refund the money in full (wasn't necessary but a nice touch). These guys are young and starting out and deserve a chance. They seem fully committed to their business and I would consider trying them again. The price is a little high for what you get especially when you compare to some more seasoned companies that are out there. Please note my experience isn't fully complete just yet. I made a reservation a few days ago for today. I received a phone call yesterday from someone who left a message saying "needed to confirm a few details" I called back and there was no answer. I left a message. Nobody called me back. I called back this morning to ensure someone is coming for my appointment. I adjusted a lot of my schedule to be home today. This is when she information me that their "system" was double booking people and I no longer have an appointment. Seems to be some of the same issues I read about them having last year. I'm not sure how this is in any way my fault but I will give this company an opportunity to make this right. If people made appointments with this company and started cancelling, there would be an associated opportunity cost and they would be out money. This is how I feel today by this botched appointment. Again, I will gladly give them an opportunity to make this right and then I will communicate how this was handled.

This is the second time that I have used the Canadian BBQ Boys. I had used another, more well known and more expensive, service in the past. They did a horrible job and actually broke part of my BBQ! Both times that I have used the Canadian BBQ Boys, my experience was positive. They are professional, polite and CLEAN! We just redid our deck last summer and they left it spotless! They did a deep cleaning on my bbq and gave me good advice on how to keep it in good shape. I highly recommend their service and will be using them again in the future.

UPDATE: September 18, 2017 - I received a call from Matt explaining that the booking was an IT issue, as they had closed for the season already. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO IT YOURSELF! I booked this company based on the predominately good reviews. When I called to book my appointment I had specifically stated to the customer service that I had wanted a thorough cleaning of my bbq and that I had also wanted them to check the burners and to give the rotisserie burner a good clean since it wasn’t lighting properly. Advised by the customer service person that this would not be a problem. 2 months later the service person called and again I mentionned the burner to which he replied “no problem”. 2 guys came …spent approx 90 mins or less cleaning the bbq. They did a poor job cleaning it. The side of the bbq was still dirty. The grates still had residue on them. The side burner which had rust on the grill wasn’t even touched! When my mom asked about the burner, the person replied “we’re not technicians, we don’t do burners”. I checked the website again and there was no mention of this. I reached out to their customer service and after 2 days was able to speak with their “manager…Cynthia”. She offered to send a manager (I declined since I had already had enough of the ) to touch up the areas missed and made excuses in regards to the burner. In the end, she should not have charged me for a job that wasn’t done properly…instead, the best she could do was 20% off. THIS WAS A COMPLETE RIPOFF OF $200! I could have done a better job myself!

I booked a BBQ cleaning and received email confirmation of an 0830-0930 arrival time. I had booked time off work for this during the week. By 1030, the company had not showed up so I gave them a call. The person answering the phone explained initially that their first call (earlier than 0830?) had taken longer than expected because it was a DCS 3-burner. When I asked what model barbecue had been booked by that client, she said a DCS 3-burner. Then she suggested there might be a "glitch in their system" and that my appointment was actually for 1030. And then she offered to have the company come at 1230 or the first appointment the following day at 0830. She graciously offered to waive the $ 50.00 cancellation fee for me. I give the company a 1 star for her politeness during this implausible series of excuses provided and because it is the lowest possible to award. I cannot be more unimpressed with their service.

They did not clean up afterwards and soot and foot prints all around the area. They offered a 25% refund for only doing half the work and I still had to clean the area up from footprints and soot. We had a crew show up and did the cleaning; upon departure we took a closer look and the service was sub par and not worth the investment. We called customer service shared the feedback. BBQ boys did a great job cleaning my grill. They were very thorough with the burners, drip pan and ceramic briquettes. Very positive experience. Only negative comment is that they left a lot of metal bristles from their cleaning tools on my patio stone. Had one get stuck in the bottom of my foot. Other than that I would highly recommend them.

This was just OK. I like to keep my BBQ in decent condition to begin with, but heard good things about this company revitalizing BBQs, so thought I'd give it a try. Probably a waste of money for me...ended up creating more issues (which they rectified by replacing the damaged parts kindly), but it was still a hassle and a waste of time dealing with everything. In the end, I probably could've done a similar job myself. Perhaps this is only best for old BBQs in rough shape, but then at the price, you may just want to replace it haha.

The technician was very professional and on time. My grill was in really bad shape, after they were done cleaning it looked brand new. The burners all burn evenly now and I can enjoy the summer with more grilling.

The boys did a decent job cleaning. I was quoted over the phone. I provided the exact model of my grill (Summit® S-460), when the guys came in, they told me there was a misquote and charged more. I went ahead anyways. The job was good, I had the impression they would also clean and polish the outer shell of the grill, guess I should ve clarified more. It is pricey and If any of you can clean the grill yourself, do it, but if you cannot, make sure you get the proper quote and provide an accurate description of your grill in detail. Guys were polite and professional.

After some initial issues with booking, Matt stepped in and managed to book a day and time that worked with our schedule. Quentin was the technician and he called to say he was on his way and then arrived on time. Quentin worked energetically and diligently and brought our 6 year old BBQ back to "as good as new" condition. Quentin was careful of the surroundings while working and left the area spotless. I would definitely recommend this company and I'm happy to support two local entrepreneurs!

They were early to my house and did an excellent job, very tidy, they set up a tarp on the lawn to keep the mess contained and the final clean was immaculate.
