A lesson to be learned, Don’t read it as a bad review but as a warning. I do know that bad reviews impact the business alot and that why I would want to leave a precautionary review rather than a derogatory note. We had tried other maids before we tried Deanna’s services and told her specifically to get us a single person but instead there were two maids without us knowing in advance. And I am kind of glad that Deanna didn’t come alone because she was constantly answers the phone calls and did a little. Her employee(Mitchelle) did an awesome job. And to be honest almost all her staff is good and friendly. But the problem is with the management/ owner. We have agreed on $400 all inclusive for a deep cleaning but then she conned me by giving me a square payment service invoice. I got to know after I called her scond time. The second time we were quoted a price for $75 plus a positive review, which I was would had done anyways, as I have liked her coworker’s cleaning. But after they left the quote changed to $120-$150 for 2 maids for 2.30 hr job. Finally we settled for $100 for 2 hrs for 2 maids. Even before she came to our house she called my wife and argued about staying only for 1.30 hrs with 3 cleaners. Deanna was told before specifically that previously we had a bad experience with the other services(they stole). So we wanted less people to have a check on them. Then I got a call from Deanna saying that they are not comfortable in coming for 2.30 hrs as they are 3 cleaners and cancelled without even letting us know moved to their other jobsite (very unprofessional). To which she justified that my wife cancelled which she never did. Deanna schedule us for a day after and not even apologized for the inconvenience caused because we had some guests come day after and we have no other option but to use her again. I was charged $100 for 2 maids for 2 hrs, which I think is reasonably priced. But we were promised to have $100 all inclusive. After I paid the maids and called Deanna, I got the same response which other people got and mentioned here in their reviews. She flipped and said that the receipt will be issued only after I pay tax. At this point I got to know that the receipt that I got earlier was not even a valid invoice.My $100 went up to $150+ tax if I want to use their services again. Now I cant do anything because I have paid all the money. We went back and forth on texts but she wanted to prove me wrong. I don’t have anything to prove because its her words against mine. Please beware, these guys are good in what they are doing but the management/owner is worse.

My first experience was today for an initial deep clean and I was extremely happy! Melissa was on time, friendly and great with our 3 cats. We did a walk through before hand but I wasn't able to meet her afterward for the final walk through. When I got home to a squeaky clean house I was in heaven (if you know, you know). Every little detail from the window tracks to the fireplace grill was spotless. I'm looking forward to regular service and I've already referred them to friends. Highly recommend.

This company was recommended to me after a family member used them one time. I was looking for a new company so I decided to give them a try. The first time I used them I paid an initial fee of $335 and I was satisfied with the job that they did. I asked for weekly follow up cleanings after this and they were arranged. Cleanings moving forward were $135 and, for the most part, the clean was good. I only wanted specific rooms in my home done and time after time I had to reiterate that I did not want the other rooms (including the master bedroom) cleaned. Yesterday Deanna decided that she was going to do it regardless of how many times I tried to politely decline. She told me the price would be $629 for the TWO additional rooms to be cleaned. I declined stating that I didn't think my husband would be happy if I paid $494 for two rooms when the entirety of my home was $135. She told me that she would drop the price to $575 and I declined again. She went into the room regardless and began cleaning. I was mad and called my husband and told him what happened. He had to call her and spelled it out for her that he did NOT want strangers in our bedroom and to stop cleaning. She texted me and told me she was going to disregard my husband's instructions because [direct quote] "Once he sees it I think he'll be happy". My cleaning was supposed to go until 3:00 pm and I was charged until then. I got home at 2:53 pm and they were no where to be found. They mop their way out of the home every time and when I walked into my home the floors were dry. I was immediately displeased with the clean, and contacted Deanna right away. She apologized and said that she was unable to come back and clean it today because she was 'already in Barrie at her next job'. Because I wasn't home I have no idea what time they truly left but it was a minimum of 50 minutes before her scheduled time (and when I paid until) as my home is 40 minutes from Barrie. When I brought up being unsatisfied with Deanna she was deeply apologetic and told me that she would send a crew out tomorrow for 2.5 hours and it would be free. She sent several, SEVERAL messages assuring me it would be fixed and that she was sorry. I accepted her apology and told her I would be more than happy if the issue was rectified tomorrow. The last message I received was at 4:35 pm re-stating that she would be there. At 5:05 pm, with no messages in between, I received a message from Deanna stating that the cleaners were NOT going to come re-clean tomorrow and that she was terminating my service. This message was unprovoked and unnecessary as I was more than happy to keep my weekly cleaning as long as today's issued were resolved. Deanna is an extremely challenging individual to have work for you and I would only recommend hiring her if you have a LOT of patience. I would receive an average of 20-25 text messages and a minimum of 3-5 phone calls from Deanna every time she cleaned for me. She would tell me one price in person and text me two different totals every single time. She would ask for payment in person and I would agree to send her the total but as it's an hourly service I preferred to do it when I knew for sure what it would be. She would text me 3 or 4 times for payments and call me numerous times. She would even ask for her money after I had already paid and texted her saying that I already did. Deanna is severely unprofessional on almost all accounts. She spent the majority of her time talking or texting on her cellphone; talking to me, her staff or others in my home; or playing with my animals. She said rude comments about me to my best friend when I left the room. She told me that my brother said negative comments about me. She asked me, three separate times, that if I had a degree why wasn't I doing anything with it. And she even had the audacity to ask my husband if he made me sign a prenup. She also offers a free clean for 5 star reviews. So, take that into account when you're considering her good ratings. * Updated Deanna's reaction after she saw my review.

Not only they accommodated me on such short notice with NO additional fees but the service was amazing the cleaner was great and very polite and professional and we even had the pleasure to meet the owner while doing her round to make sure her staff are on the Ball. We used them after our tenants had moved out as we were going to be busy patching holes and painting etc. The owner and a worker had come out to do the job, both very friendly. The owner spent a lot of time answering phone calls and having us come inspect the work while we were busy painting and tidying up elsewhere or I would be called into another room to be shown how to clean something. I know how to clean, just a tight timeline did not allow me the time to do this. After they spent a few hours cleaning (they were told in advance what type of job it was and the size of job) and had left many things had not been cleaned or were not cleaned very well. The worker did an amazing job, the owner not so much. I had to go back and clean everything since there were areas that very clearly had been missed, especially in the kitchen. No scrubbies or sponges were used in the kitchen just rags and dish soap. I spent another 6 hours cleaning the kitchen the very next day and spent an hour cleaning the bathroom.

I have had such a wonderful experience with West Coast Maids!! I was on a hunt for a last minute, same day service, which is hard to find in Barrie. Deanna took my call, before they were even open, listened to my story and my urgent situation. She was funny, kind and so accommodating. She looked into a possible schedule change to help with the urgency; within 15 minutes Dee and Kayla areived ready for the tasks at hand. They were very thorough and detailed in every area of the house. Deanna and I came up with a plan for decluttering, followed by a deep clean. Stress melted away with every room that got completed. I was surprised by another review regarding their customer service. They went above and beyond what I expected!! Thank you!!!!!!! I will be seeing them on regular basis! :D

Deanna responded quickly to my initial query and managed to arrange a cleaning crew on short notice. The work by one of her cleaners was awesome, the other two - acceptable. We purchased our first home in Barrie, and the day we stepped in, the house was terrible, messy, dirty, and smelled unbreathably bad. It's like the people who lived there before us, were there to make the mess only. We called West Coast, and Deanna responded very quickly. After checking the whole house, Deanna was upfront about the amount of work required and how much she will charge for her service. Only if 6/5 was a option... I initially booked West Coast Maids- Barrie for a post-renovation deep cleaning. Due to a scheduling conflict on my end I needed it moved up a day on short notice. Needless to say, they didn't hesitate to accommodate my needs and fitted me in to their schedule. My dust covered post-renovation home was left in immaculate condition, as if a massive renovation didn't happen. My cleaning lady refused to make appt, she was on vacation, refused to send any girls. I found West Coast Maids on Thursday, they showed up on Friday next day. My shower floor looks like brand new tiles . I've never seen such detailing in my life without me even asking for it . They even have brooms???????? I only say that because my previous cleaners would ask me if I had a broom , who says that ❓If I wanted them to use bleach, windex wood floor cleaner, etc.. I had to supply it all. They would only supply vinegar and my water. Previous cleaners jipped me, 2 cleaners were suppose to come. Yeah only 1 showed up. Disappointing..The owner charged me same money as if she sent 2 girls . Oh, and let's say you need cleaners over for 2 hrs... West Coast Maids not only beats their prices, they do an excellent job. They actually not only mop the floor they also dust too. Only say that because previous cleaners probably didn't know they had to dust and mop up. I'm a West Coast girl all the way now. This experience was horrendous for my husband and I . I was looking for a general cleaning of my home as my son had just moved out and I wanted a spruce up. The appointment was made a week in advance and then on the day of, she tried to reschedule. I agreed to earlier in the day and Deanna arrived with her team . First i will address the cleaning . The girls that were with her worked hard and I was fairly satisfied with the job they did . There were a few things that I wasn’t completely satisfied with but I have had service before and that’s just the way it goes sometimes . Deanna, in the hours allocated for this clean did nothing except talk on her phone and have it glued to her hand . She was included in the price of a working person in my quote and contributed nothing . More importantly I have never ever in all my years of having contractors , cleaners , caregivers in my home had to deal with someone so unprofessional and focused on getting money before the completion of a job. Beware of this company , there is something very wrong with the young lady that runs it . I have since checked the BBB and read all the google reviews . The bad ones are completely accurate and the good ones are not legitimate

I don't normally write reviews but I really had to this time due to overall poor quality of service I was provided. Nice people, really nice... but poor work :( considering the cost of service. Thus, buyer BEWARE :S Details: I hired West Coast for deep cleaning as that was what was recommended by Deanne for first time visit. quoted ~$140 for Maintenance 2 people ~$250 for deep clean 2 people Pros: Deanna is very nice, as well as her colleagues, but I'm not looking for friends. I need detailed oriented cleaner for my house. Con: - lack of punctuality; schedule time was 12PM actually time of arrival 1235 (no biggie sometimes people are late) -start of clean 1245 -3 people showed up vs 2 (I agreed on 2) - quoted $900, $700, $500, $300 to clean my house (I don't have a big house maybe 3500 to 4000 sq ft) no pets, non smoking - but since they were at the house I agreed on $300 for deep clean as there are 3 people. - did not deep clean gas stove of cabinets as requested - did not scrub toilets - did not dust under dressers or tables - did not clean garbage pals or cabinet under counters - I ended having top clean the family room, dusting the banisters and stairs - took work calls while cleaning my house on my time - lack of consistent cleaning in various areas i.e. toilets, stove - did not clean screens on windows - did not clean fridge - did not clean baseboards - was informed that there are different meanings of "DEEP CLEANING" (whatever that means) post clean day - I texted Deanna my concerns. She was not receptive to constructive criticism. I also did not want further cleaning services as they were so terrible. However, she did offer to provide this service. hummm what else can I say. I guess i could screen shot our initial conversation. and post images of the lack cleaning of being done in the house in the 4 hours they were here.

I reached West Coast Maids office left message and my other line was beeping and it was Deanna calling me back. So she asked how she could belp and I thought great communication skills and excellent approach over the phone. I told her I was in a panic to get the college house cleaned. Decided to start the new year with a clean house, and as a full time student who also works time just isn’t on my side. Anxious to get started I filled out on an online inquiry and promptly received a return call and had an appointment for an initial clean booked right away. As I was unable to be present the cleaners were amazing at communicating and discussing what needed to be done and what they could do throughout the process (even the cats were impressed). Coming home felt like it was a whole new house. The attention to detail is above and beyond. It wasn’t just cleaning around, furniture was moved out of the way, cleaned under and returned leaving nothing missed. They make decision to continue a regular cleaning service with them an easy one to make. I look forward to making 2021 a better, more organized year. Definitely would rate higher if I could, compared to the company I used in my previous residence I feel so much better about having them work in my home.

West Coast Maids was the only person to get back to me and were out the next day. When I got home my jaw dropped. I had them do a spring clean. Then tried to upsell us telling us we booked a wipe down vs. the full clean we discussed on the telephone conversation. We had moved all of our things out and the house was empty getting ready to sell...so we left them alone in the home and must have had 10 phones calls from the main blonde, she made us feel very uncomfortable. I’ve utilized cleaning services in the past and this was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. They did not seem trustworthy and tried to charge us more on the price when they got there. Would never ever recommend them nor can I even understand how what they are doing is ethical. The website is entirely misleading. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. We hired West Coast Maids to come in and do a deep clean on our home in preparation to list our property. The entire experience from the introductory phone call, to the initial walk through, to the final walk through, was fantastic. Deanna & John were so easy to create a connection with, had such an eye for detail, and were so thorough with their cleaning that our entire home shined by the time they were done. They cleaned areas I hadn't even thought to clean, and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. She started me at $350 and wanted $1,000 once she arrived at my house! -once I got home and started the post walk through with the owner she will distract you by constantly asking questions about yourself so you can’t focus on the work done(sketchy) and once I started to refer to their “advertising “ of a checklist on the website which we are suppose to refer to during the post walk through, she got flustered and told me I never ordered their “deluxe package” (lies, there are no posted “packages” on her website, just a detailed checklist of what they do when they clean) she knew I wanted a full house clean, so i have no idea why she started telling us we never ordered her “deluxe package “. -Besides that nonsense, I said I wasn’t happy with the work done, she refused to stand by her customer satisfaction guarantee when I tried to get them to come back and finish another day calling me “crazy” “unreasonable”- talk about lack of professionalism!!!! - I wasn’t happy with the job, because they had missed a bunch of things , I asked Them to come back another day and she refused without being given MORE money!! so they lie about “satisfaction guaranteed “ ensuring you are happy with the work and cleaning until you’re happy. All lies. -they LIE about using “Greenworks” products, so don’t be fooled your house will be done with the safe products you hoped for, I saw the maids carrying Windex, VIM, and pinesole totally false advertising!!! -they dumped garbage bags on my porch and didn’t take it with them, dumped mop water on my lawn which left debris and dog hair everywhere -please do not use this company you will get scammed and the website is false advertising, the owner is sketchy and does not stand by her business and customer satisfaction -she will REFUSE an invoice even after I paid a large amount of money upfront, she actually demanded MORE money from me to get a receipt for the upfront partial price I already paid - I will be contacting the better business bureau I feel so bad for anyone who gets wrapped up with this company due to false and misleading advertising as a consumer -they also have many complaints on the Better Business Beureau for similar and WORSE things than we experienced, go check it out, keep yourself free from a terrible experience Sent from my iPhone

Well I have had cleaners before but I always had to straighten up after they leave or even clean something over again because it was not done right. I called the owner Deanna immediately and she told me it was a mistake and would be taken care of. I had one of the worst experience with this cleaning company, i normally dont leave very negative reviews as i know the negative impact on a business, but i had to do this as i am very disappointed with the service i received. When i contacted them i received a quote of $150, but when they showed at the property, they doubled the price to $300 , they took advantage of the situation knowing that i had guests checking in after 3 hours! After negotiating we brought the price down to $200 for 3 hours work, they refused to start the work without advance payment, so i did pay $200 +HST, they end up finishing the cleaning job in about 2 hours and 15 minutes, I never received any credit back, talk about being a trust worthy company!! I received negative reviews from my own clients, the guest that were checking out complained about this cleaner showing up before their check out time by about an hour, they felt they were being kicked out where I numerously told this cleaner not show up early at their door. Also i received a negative review from the next guest who checked in, complaining that the fridge was not cleaned at all and it has bad odor and stains. and the worst thing that i had to chase them for about 2-3 weeks just to get an invoice, i got the run around and every execuse in the book, and when i received the invoice after 3 weeks, it looked like a simple paper showing one line of the total amount of $226, since i paid HST the invoice had to show a break down of payment. then i had to chase them again to make sure the invoice shows the HST as well. .Absolutely a disaster experience, just be careful when hiring this cleaner.

Went to use West Coast maids, talked to the owner who was nice and established that we would do a deep clean in our house. The morning of her employee showed up 15 min late due to wrong address which isn't a big deal. I did a walk through with the employee which I explained to her a few things to focus on, as she asked me to pick out a few things as everyone is different. After the walk through I told the lady that I was going to be out of the house for the day and we established that I would come back at 1pm to do the walk through and pay. 20 min later I check my phone and I had 5 missed calls and 10 texts from the owner saying we need a deposit (which she never told me). I made sure to call her back as soon as I seen the messages to say I was going to come back and give the money. While on the phone she said her employee had a family emergency and we would have to reschedule which I completely understand as family comes first. After that was said, the owner changed her toon and started saying that I made her employee feel uncomfortable and she felt like i was wanting to leave the house and didn't do the walk through (which is false). She was extremely rude and confrontational in the conversation and as the conversation ended she said I don't think this professional relationship would be a good fit. My reply was I agree and that I was going to leave a review on her business. She then texted me after the phone call to say that if I left a bad review that she would return the favor and review my business- all text messages have been saved for proof of this conversation. Ive never left a review on anything but thought people should know how this company operates. I would leave 0 Stars if I could.

DO NOT HIRE THIS SERVICE. THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE ALL FAKES. When I hired Deanne, I told her I saw some of the bad reviews about her being on the phone the whole time instead of cleaning. I asked her to send two employees and I did not want her to clean the house. On the day of, she shows up and says she and another man will be cleaning. Then my husband dropped in mid way through and she was on her phone! I then send a text to Deanne saying please use your time to clean rather then conduct business on the phone. She than text me a bunch of rude texts. When I arrived at the house, 30 mins prior to the end of the allotted time she was already packing her car. I then inspected the house, she did not clean the stove. She left sticky substances on our floor. The bath tub had a film of soap scum, the list goes on and on. Deanne owns the company so there is no recourse other than sharing your bad experience online so that others do not hire this service. Bad customer service and rudeness should not be rewarded with any more business. CHECK BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. THERE WERE 9 COMPLAINTS IN HE LAST 12 MONTHS. MINE MAKES 10!!!! WORST SERVICE EVER!!!
