Was quoted 175.00 to clean, received bill for 375.00...they said much more time needed, so I paid. Next cleaning they billed 275.00 and when complained when I sent 175.00 plus HST they threaten to send to collections!! Terrible....look somewhere else !

I entertain a lot and I always get the best compliments. I absolutely recommend Molly Maid Barrie for your cleans and you will not be disappointed.

Not a great experience. When I originally hired MollyMaid, no one came to my house to see it to do the quote. It was all done over the phone. Clear instructions were given as to what I wanted done but this wasn't always passed on to the girls that came. This caused much chaos and confusion at my home. Also, because I was quoted on an hourly rate, I asked several times for a breakdown of the time spent and number of girls there and never received it and believe I was being over charged. In the end it was way more trouble than it was worth. I will say though, that the cleaning was always done well. No complaints at all with that - complaint is with the organization and running of the business.

Decent cleaning job, some minor things like when cleaning a bathroom or kitchen and not cleaning the floors, seems like a staple part of any of those rooms, but focuses 20 min on a toaster....plus it is VERY expensive.

I hired Molly Maid (Barrie) because of its name and reputation. I hired them to get the job done right, on time, and with integrity. Unfortunately, after 3 cleans I decided to cancel my services with them due to the exchange I had with the owner over the phone, her lack of professionalism and very poor people skills. Here is a brief summary: I called Molly Maid for a deep clean after a summer of moving in and having renovations done. The quote was given over the phone; nobody came to the house to scope out the size or amount of work involved. I asked initially for a deep clean then standard clean going forward. I was quoted an exorbitant amount of $98 per hour. I told them what my budget was and if they could work within it. I was promised that they would. Well, each time the cleaners arrived late and stayed on the job for 1.5 hours. Nor did the owner stick to my budget, not the first time, or the second or the third (and the last). In fact, each time I was charged $200 or more for the maids who spent 1.5 hours cleaning. I am not sure if they included travel time but I was charged for two full hours. There was a miscommunication between the owner and one of the cleaners over a small amount that was owing to me during the second visit. Instead of taking it up with the cleaner, the owner decided to tear a strip off me over it. I reiterate, it was a small amount of $25 that was given to me because I overpaid the invoice. I applied this credit towards the third clean. The 3rd bill was overcharged at $200 and I gave them what I felt they should have charged minus the $25 I applied from previous receipt. The owner told me plainly that she would not take a loss of any amount over an error that was made and that it was my responsibility to pay. I was disgusted at her lack of professionalism and stubbornness; If it were me, I would have first approached my own employee instead of jumping on the client and insisting they pay. In the end, I paid her the amount even though the receipts did not agree with the amount she claimed I owed. She gained $50 but lost a customer. How shortsighted of her! To the company personnel reading this review, please spare me your standard response which does nothing constructive but rather sweeps the negative reviews under the rug. Don't bother to thank me "for bringing this issue to our attention" or to call your support office so you can "do everything possible to address concerns and follow up.." I know the drill and I am sure that nothing will be done and the owner will continue to gouge her clients and treat them as though they are worthless.

I like the service. They are extremely clean, and efficient and I don't think their rates are out of the ordinary. They are also very accommodating to come in extra days, out of the regular schedule I have with them, which is appreciated.

Hired Molly Maid to clean our 720sq ft house after we had moved out appliances and all. The cleaning was done well, however we had been quoted a price of 180-200$ over the phone and when three cleaners arrived we were told we'd have to pay 270$. When we asked why, we were told that the quotes they give are really a loose estimate. We also had to pay in all cash because they did not have machine.

This review is of the Molly Maid Barrie service. To start, the cleaning that was done was well done. The cleaners are obviously skilled. However our issue was in how business was conducted. We were given an over-the-phone quote of 2.5hrs @ $88/hr. With tax this would be apporx $250. We agreed to this and they came. After they left we were left with a bill of $350. After contacting Molly Maid we were told they needed an extra hour to "pick up lots of toys, make the beds and fold clothes". All 3 of these issues were handled by myself and my wife before they came as we did not want them wasting time doing simple tidying. Toys and clothes were put away and the beds required no special attention. Also we were told the kitchen floor "was especially dirty" and required a special solution that needed to sit for 30 min before they could clean them. I personally scrubbed the floor on my hands and knees the night before so that no extraordinary measures on their part would be required. If all this special attention was required it would have been apparent at the start of the job that the 2.5hr agreed upon time would not be sufficient and we should have been contacted and told about the discrepancy. Also, no invoice was provided for this job. It all was done verbally. We understand that this is more of an entrepreneurial industry but Molly Maid is a well known name and more professionalism would be respected. Especially when issues such as this arise. As it stands I would not repeat business with this service or recommend it to anyone else without suggesting that they get everything in writing.

We requested a weekly cleaning from Molly Maid Barrie, the service was late arriving, the cleaning was not completed or consistant, and for the 2nd week they were 3 hours late. For the service they were over priced. We cancelled the service and do not recommend them for your cleaning services

Used Molly Maid Barrie for a couple of cleans. They arrived on-time and did a very nice job. Both women worked quickly and thoroughly. They were quick and slightly under the quoted amount. We have a large hairy dog and they paid extra attention to carpets. I would recommend!

The three ladies that came this morning did a marvelous job! I didn't think it was possible to get the house as clean as they did. The team worked very hard the whole time they were here, were polite, professional. The person I booked was also very nice, informative, and professional. My expectations were exceeded. Would highly recommend.

Paid for a move out cleaning. Came home and didn't notice a difference. Dusty lamp and light shades, fans, appliances, walls, cupboards, pictures. All things that are supposed to be done. Can't believe I paid hundreds of dollars. Wish I was home when they were there.

We cancelled our booking a full day and a half before the scheduled clean. Then got multiple calls saying that of we don't reschedule they'll charge a cancellation fee. We were never told that. Sorry it caused an inconvenience to your booking schedule. Not how you should be going about getting new client's.
