Today I had the pleasure of meeting Marc for an assessment. The visit was scheduled because two mold removal companies told us that we had some in the attic. One said it had to be dealt with within two weeks at a cost of approx $8,000. Another company was brought in for a second opinion. They also recommended that we use their removal service for around $5,000. The second company said it wasn't as bad as the first but would need to be dealt with before it spread. Something didn't seem right with the assessments and estimates so we took the time to do the research and bring in some experts. Being that CRS worked on projects for Mike Holmes I knew I was on to something. A meeting was setup for Tuesday which ended up being postponed. Marc called us to reschedule because he had to deal with a water emergency with one of his clients. He asked to push the meeting back by two days in the event that the client needed additional services. As much as I wanted him to come in quickly for the assessment I respected that he could prioritize his calls and allow for the additional time to fully take care of the emergency. When we met today we expected to hear similar results as the other two companies. The only difference being that the issue would be taken care of by a reputable business. After a difficult climb into the attic (the opening is small and badly placed) he came back down with shocking news... There was no mold. He then took the time to explain why by showing us pictures he took while up there and showing comparisons with other homes. He also explained why the other companies might have said what they did. He was very thorough in his explanations. His 12 years of construction experience also helped explain subtleties that couldn't be done by other removal services. He easily could have told us that we needed his services but advised us otherwise. He was genuine, honest and a true business man. You could tell that he wasn't interested in the transaction. He was interested in the relationship. He knew that if he was honest with us that it would leave room for potential opportunities in the future. So that's essentially what I'm doing now (without being asked to). I want people to know that we had an amazing experience even though no work was done. Not just because we learned that a large expense wasn't needed but because he took care of the assessment as if it was his own home. If we ever need restoration services he will be the first person we contact. If anyone I know needs these services I will make sure they deal with Marc. I actually wanted to tip him for his visit but could tell he wasn't the type to accept it. The entire process from initial contact to final visit was professional and also friendly. I highly recommend Marc / CRS to anyone needing restoration services.

We had mould in the attic and made an appointment for a consultation. We met with Marc and it went very well. He told us we would have a quote in 48 hours. One week later, we still hadn't heard from him so we emailed him and he had forgotten about us. He sent the quote by email which stated most of the things he had told us in person. This included sealed off area with a negative air pump that would stay attached in place up to 48 hours after the work was done to ensure there would be no contamination to the rest of the house. No such thing was done. I wasn't present at the time the work was done (other family members were present) so I could not communicate this right away. The next day I expressed my concerns and was told that they would compensate by not charging us more because our attic was apparently bigger than what they expected! We were also told that there would be a 15 year transferable warranty on the work done and it would be hand delivered within 2 days. One week later, we still hadn't received anything. I emailed Marc and he promised it would be delivered by the end of the week. Fast forward 2 months later and multiple emails with Marc, he still hadn't sent us the warranty. Finally, we decided to contact headquarters and they sent the warranty by email, which looked like something I could have made myself in Word. Also, the 15 year warranty was not honoured. Instead, they told me it was only 2 years! I could not argue with them because Marc had not written it in the contract agreement. How disappointing, seeing as how I did research, shopped around, and had recommendations to use this company. I will be telling all my friends and family how bad the service was.

Be careful. They subcontract. The first time I called on them , they dispatched someone quickly. The gentleman was knowledgeable and efficient, he did not linger and rapidly established I did not have a problem and I was not charged for his visit. I was very happy with the experience and recommend them without reservation. Now had occasion to call on them just before Christmas (2020) and the person they sent out clearly was incompetent and came back to me with a $7,000 quote which did not even cover all the work he proposed needed to be done. Fortunately I asked 2 other quotes from other companies and didn't end up having to do any invasive work. This most recent gentleman was clearly a conman.

My story is an extreme one & as such JM & his team deserve a full warranted review. I am the landlord of a bungalow i had had rented. The last tenants destroyed it to the point of a complete tear down. When I had initially seen the home by chance, it was already bad but not to that point. I initiated proceedings & immediately started calling around for quotes & information. JM took the time 2 explain my options & answer all my questions from the very start. The service he provided on the phone is what tipped me over the edge in choosing his actual services when the time came & im so glad i did! JM came right away & made himself available 24/7, responding day, night& weekends to all my questions & texts...& blv me there were many! He responded 2 all my questions, kept me updated & explained the process as they went along & was calm, professional & friendly. Though i dealt with him the most, Cameron & their collegue were just as professional & friendly I actually felt their sympathy & empathy over my situation & their genuine wish 2 help. They took care of my home as though it was their own & though it had 2 be stripped down 2 the beams, they left nothg 2 be picked up...meticulously clean & efficient workers! Upon JM's return, he immediately went 2 check on the work & met with me. They all did everything 2 ensure my total satisfaction. I have been in the service industry 4 over 30 years & can say without a doubt that I've been left dumbfounded that a combination of such service, efficiency & accommodation still exists. Great job by Prateek Juyal and his team We recently took possession of a house that had stucco ceilings in the basement. We called several companies to inquire about having the ceiling tested for asbestos. Canada Restoration Services was one of the first companies to respond. They dispatched their technician, Prateek Juyal the next day to take samples. Unfortunately the test indicated low levels of asbestos, so the ceilings had to be removed. Prateek returned to explain the process for removal and decontamination. He was very patient and answered all our questions. Once we accepted the estimate, Prateek arrived with his team to prepare the house, sealing off the basement . While removing the asbestos, , Prateek discovered some mold, and he was able to treat this as well, keeping us informed throughout the process. The work was completed within a week. The basement was clean when they left. They even offered to return if we required help to move back some furniture. Prateek and his team were very professional throughout the entire process, honouring their timeline, not to mention their great customer service. They also gave us reliable referrals for someone to reinstall the ceilings. We would not hesitate to hire this team again or to refer them to others who need their services.

Great sercice. When I had a ceiling leak last weeekend, I contacted Canada's Restoration Services and within 5 minutes, I spoke to Jean-Michel. Although it was a brief conversation, he was able to guide through few check points, considering that it would have cost me a fortune had I have to have his team to inspect on emergency base. Since it was a minor leak, we agrred to met on Tuesday (July 31st). Jean-Michel came on time, and immediately inspected the source of the leak. And when he found it, it was so relieved to hear from him that it was really just a minor fix and he fixed right away. Upon completion, he checked and rechecked to make sure everything was done properly, including an inspection to ensure that there was no mould visible on the affected leak area. I was happy for the work he did and would recommed his service in restoring water damage. Good job, Jean-Michel.

A week is a long 10 minutes. And no response to online. Not even a receipt. Not customer oriented. Follow-up: I called the number provided on the reply and I have a scheduled visit in a couple of days. I am not sure what went wrong last week with both my phone call and my online submission but everything went very well today. Thank you for taking my complaint seriously. Highly recommended. An excellent experience with CRS Montreal. The supervisor who worked with us and gave the estimate was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant, open to questions, and extremely helpful throughout the work. The two CRS guys who actually did the work were terrific in all respects. They were not only clearly very knowledgeable, hard-working, and fast/efficient, they were also extremely pleasant to deal with. They were very helpful in explaining and answering questions. They were also extremely careful and effective in ensuring no damage was caused by their work, and in minimizing (and discussing beforehand for our understanding/approval) any necessary openings in order to access in order to do the work. In fact, I’m absolutely amazed that we only have two minor holes in the basement ceiling that need repairing.
