Moving from place to place is stressful and to remove some stress from our move we decided to pay for a move out clean. Cesar was our cleaner. He was friendly, and we got him a Starbucks card to say thank you. We never did a walk through with him. When we did a walk through with the landlord there were so many items that he had missed (didn't mop floors, windows weren't cleaned, balcony was missed, didn't clean under the radiator, light switches weren't cleaned). We booked him for a 4 hour clean for $200 and to have so many things missed was unacceptable. The landlord was unhappy and wanted us to clean the apartment so it met her standards.
When we reached out to Home Spritz about all the cleaning that was missed we were asked to provide photos. We had to drive back to the apartment to take photos to prove that the apartment was not cleaned properly. This took more time out our day and was a large inconvenience. Home Spritz sent a second cleaner as soon as they could. Janice had a much higher attention to detail than Cesar. She cleaned the whole apartment (2 stories) in 3 hours.
The reason I am giving this company a 1 star review is because of the hassle it took with the landlord. Having to reschedule the clean and coordinate schedules with the landlord was stressful and it could have all been avoided if the job was done correctly the first time. The amount of times I had to drive to and from the apartment during a move made the week incredibly stressful.
I would not recommend Cesar to anyone, I would recommend Janice. Overall, what was supposed to be an easy move out turned out to be a huge headache.
