We wanted to provide an update on our previous posts so that existing and potential clients of Duty Cleaners can see how they responded. While our initial interactions with the company were a challenge, I am happy to share that Mikail has reached out to us in an effort to make this situation right. He has listened to us, acknowledged the opportunities for improvement and has worked with us on a mutually acceptable resolution. Part of this resolve has been a partial refund, which we appreciate and acknowledge is outside of Duty Cleaners Policy. Thank you Mikail. We hired Duty Cleaners to clean a 1050 square foot 2 bed room, 2 bath condo after our tenants moved out. We paid $430 for what was called a “2 bed room/ 2 bath cleaning” job. We paid extra for a “move in and move out clean”, with extra for “blind cleaning”, and extra for “window cleaning”. This was all supposed to include cleaning of the walls, appliances, cupboards, toilets, showers, floors, windows blinds, etc. Duty Cleaners claims to have been there for 16 hours (2 cleaners for 8 hours), yet the floors were not vacuumed or mopped, walls were not fully cleaned, appliances were not wiped down on the outside (or fully on the inside), cabinets were not fully wiped down on the inside. There was still spilled food on the floor, the stove top and instrument panel were covered in grease, food and dust, the shower was not cleaned, the blinds still had dust on them and the sink in the kitchen wasn’t even washed out. When Michael (the Manager/ Owner) walked through it with me afterwards he made excuses for items missed and offered a $100 refund (which we never received). As the place was empty, we had some painters in to repaint before we put it up for sale. Due to the painting we didn’t get there to look things over better for eight days. When we saw the poor job they did we called Michael and was told that Duty Cleaners would not honor their service or commitment for “a reclean” as it had been too long since the work was done. To be clear the place not being lived in and the Painters actually left the place cleaner than the Cleaners had left it. Michael was argumentative and not at all interested in honoring his 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. I most certainly would NOT recommend Duty Cleaners. I can understand when a job doesn’t get done properly. What I cannot understand is an organization that refuses to stand by their service and guarantees. Duty Cleaners is not an organization of integrity.

I had an amazing experience with Duty Cleaners! Moving is so stressful and I had so much going on between work and my personal life on top of that, the thought of the clean to move out stressed me out so much! I went with these guys because they had such great ratings and reviews, and they were absolutely true! I waited longer than I should have to book, probably, because I was so on the fence about being able to afford to pay someone to clean (when I thought realistically I should be able to stop being a baby and just do it myself). When I called back to commit they were so helpful and fit me in before my deadline. They gave me a one hour window to arrive and came exactly in line which was awesome! I let them in and they confirmed what I wanted to be cleaned (they also ask this when they set up the appointment), and after asking how long it would take I went to a coffee shop to do some work. I came back about half an hour early so as not to keep them waiting and good thing I had as they were almost done! So they finished ahead of schedule and everything looked amazing. Really spotless and definitely both faster and more effective than I would have been able to manage. They asked me to do a look to make sure everything looked the way I liked and honestly there was nothing more they could have done! The ladies who came over were just lovely as well. Super nice and friendly. I really couldn't have asked for any better help than they gave me, it was so nice to have such an easy time. It took a huge load off my back! I'm moving out of the city but based on this experience I would absolutely use their services again for moving out and would definitely consider having them in regularly as well!

I used duty cleaners for a move out clean about 3 days ago. I got text message reminders in the days leading up which was really nice considering the chaos of moving. Staff was very personable and friendly. I had been living at the location for 5+ years... they did a stellar job!! Place was cleaner than when I moved in!! Landlord has an oppositional personality issue where nothing is good enough... only thing she could find was 2-3 crumbs in the toaster LOL Amazing job guys! Do not use this cleaner!!! Had to come back to clean half the house that they missed, then they did damage to the finish on the faucets and instantly blamed other trades. Tried to call and ask him to rectify the problem and all he could spout is policy this and policy that. This is not a responsible business that is willing to rectify problems. Not to mention how nosey the owner is. All he was concerned about after the 2nd clean was how much my house cost. It’s really none of his business and he kept pushing it. Highly unprofessional. Please do yourself a favour and fine anyone else and save the headache and disappointment. And the reply to this post is full of lies and misleading information. the damage was done on the final clean. Nobody ever said a thing about damage ahead of time, and the pictures are of the final clean that I ended up cleaning myself. During calls with the owner he was beyond arrogant and all he could say was company policy this and company policy that. they would not stand behind their work. I stand by my review that you should never use this company.
