I over extended my knee doing one of those crazy 60 day workout DVDs... I was in terrible pain! Dr. Colasanti has a cold laser therapy that had my knee to BETTER than normal in just one week of 3 sessions. In fact my injured knee was so pain-free that I noticed I had background pain in my opposite knee that required me to get 1 session for the healthy knee to remove the nominal pain from that knee. I highly recommend that for any sort of injury you try the cold laser therapy. I was a total disbeliever that plain old LIGHT could help my knee but now I have seen the light!
