I have been a patient at this office for more than 10 years I would guess. I call them my miracle workers! I have been treated by all four of the chiropractors in this office and could not say one bad thing about any of them. I refer them out to my friends and family all the time. Many years ago a few days before Christmas I was delivering Christmas gifts and reached my right arm into the backseat and did something to my neck and shoulder and it was so painful and I could barely move I called home to have someone help me out of the car and they drove me to Dr. Christopher Mortensen's office and he treated me and made it tolorable and had 3 more treatments before and after Christmas and it was fixed! He was my miracle worker and saved our Christmas! My husband had suggested going to my regular Dr. and I told him that they would just give me pills Dr. Mortensen would fix me. In all these years nothing has changed all 4 Dr.'s in this office keep me "tuned up" and repaired. I highly suggest this office from the caring office staff to the Doctors!

Be aware, this office does not require wearing a face mask for their staff and patients when I visited. I chose not to return to the office for personal safety. I had a negative experience with staff member Jeanie when I called concerning a bill from the office. I wanted to know why I was getting billed and where the amount was coming from instead of blindly paying a bill the office sent. Overall, she spoke to me in a very condescending and defensive manner as if I was unreasonable to question the bill and mentioning they've "been doing this for years". It took many back and forth calls between my insurance and the office to finally figure out and explain to me the reason for my bill. Essentially, the office charged me a PCP copay instead of the specialist copay and billed me the difference. I'm not sure why they were not able to figure out that reason initially.

My making the switch from conventional medicine to functional medicine was long overdue! My family and I had been off prescription and over the counter meds for a couple years just trying to figure it out on our own but when a serious illness occurs what can you do? Both my son and I were prescribed long term steroids to suppress our immune systems through conventional medicine but we declined. Dr. Craig was able to put us on the path to complete healing through nutrition, supplements, a change of life style. He analyzes everything that contributes to your overall health and tailors a plan that addresses you as an individual, it's not a one size fits all! Some of the changes that are necessary aren't easy but it's worth it to live healthy and feel good! Dr. Judy Rotuna is a great chiropractor. She totally knows her stuff, explains it throughly, and makes you feel better. Dr. Mortensen is only there one day a week, so I’ve only seen him once, but he did a fine job. The office did X-rays on my first visit and treated me accordingly, but Dr. Judy always went above and beyond. She really takes her time to adjust you, and tells you exactly which bones she’s adjusting when she does. She and I did not really get along, and would blame issues on things without solid reason, which is why I’ve docked a star. She comes off a little strong, and isn’t the best at interpersonal communication. I’m 25 and have had type one diabetes since I was 12, but it’s very well controlled and I have no signs of any complications from it at this point. Yet Dr. Judy blamed the over-active nerves in my shoulders on diabetic neuropathy. How could I have neuropathy in my shoulders if I don’t even have it in my feet? Other doctors have debunked this. I also went through an intensive pain management program, and had to stop care for a month. The program wanted to eliminate other factors affecting my care to pinpoint what things were making a difference. Dr. Judy immediately jumped to conclusions, saying medical doctors don’t understand chiropractic, and wouldn’t get the benefits it could bring. She wouldn’t even let me explain that chiropractic was one of the treatments they were suggesting, but wanted to work their way there first— control all the variables as I worked through the program. Despite our interpersonal issues, Dr. Judy really is a great chiropractor, and the office staff is great, too.

The staff is sweet and the office is kid-friendly as I take my 2 1/2 year old with me to every visit. I am finally able to sleep through the night which hasn't happened for months of this pregnancy. The staff are professional and friendly. It is easy to schedule an appointment as they have hours that accommodate the masses. I have been extremely pleased with Placentia Chiropractic and whole heartedly recommend this practice. I see Dr Rotuna, she is very good! She explained my xray results thoroughly in a way that a non-medically trained person can understand. Dr Rotuna uses just the right amount of force too. Never too hard, yet firm enough to get the desired results. I have also had massage therapy with Laurie. She is able to find the problem areas and get the knots to release. I moved from west LA last year and had my chiropractor in LA help me find a good one in my new neighborhood. She asked all of her doctor questions and assured me this place would be good for me. She was right. The first time I came to the office I was suffering from vertigo. I met Dr. Craig Mortensen and was very sick. The next day, Dr. Craig called me to see how I was. He didn't have to do that, especially since I didn't have an appointment for that day and he has so many other patients to see. His call made me feel special and cared for. Thank you! The adjustments we get help with the smallest things. Headaches and minor backaches to major injuries. He always listens to what you have to say and makes helpful suggestions.
