In December 2016, when all of a sudden I couldn't walk for even 5 minutes without literally crying from pain and discomfort, with Dr. Nusbaums heIp, I was fairly soon after back to training regularly and doing 45 minute 5K nordic walks a few times a week. Dr. Nusbaum was very clear that the initial treatment program would only do part of the job to help me recover, and the rest would be up to me - doing the recommended stretches, strengthening complex and continuing the regular follow-up adjustments. I took responsibility for my own well being, but without the initial treatments and doctors on-going support, I don't believe, I would have recovered so quickly. You have to do your part in your own recovery, but with such a positive and fun team by your side, the process is so much faster and the result sooooo much better! I have since then moved further away, but to this day, I make a much longer trip to see him every couple of weeks for even just the smallest adjustment. He is that great! :)

It's amazing how when people come to get treatment you hope that it works. But when you come in walking crooked and just after the first session you're already walking straight, you know they're doing to say the least something right. But the big Pro about this clinic is that they do everything right! Dr. Ron being a veteran in the field knows his stuff and there's nothing better than 1) treatment that's really painless. And when I say painless I mean not feeling anything, not a thing!!! And 2) having every question answered with actual solid knowledge and with a smile, that the presentation on it's own give's the patient the confidence in the treatment. He's brilliantly knowledged and experienced, that I can't imagine too many specialists really having that level of expertise. BCOC is where the solution's at!

My neck pain started a couple of years back and it was getting worse progressively. My head started feeling heavy and the pain was spreading to my shoulders and arms. I had painful headaches, trouble sleeping, and felt dizzy frequently. I tried various treatments, including physiotherapy and massage therapy, but nothing helped. When I first visited Back Clinics of Canada, Dr. Nusbaum took time to understand my case and reviewed my MRI. He explained the reason behind the pain I am feeling and how his treatment works. He prescribed a treatment consisting of spinal decompression, laser therapy, adjustments, and stretches. After a week I started feeling better. Dr. Nusbaum would follow-up on a regular basis to monitor the effectiveness of the treatment. He and his team are very friendly, caring, and professional. I feel much better now and able to resume my daily activities, studying, and working. I am so glad I found Back Clinics of Canada and and feel very grateful for all that they have done for me.

It has been 7 years since my treatment at Back Clinics of Canada and I continue to believe that it's some of the best money I’ve ever spent. No treatment is perfect but this is about the best non-surgical solution I’ve come across. After spending a lot of time chasing a solution using acupuncture, traditional chiro, massage, physio, etc., etc. I found Dr. Ron Nusbaum's non-invasive treatment worked for me. Another reviewer complained about having their spouse present during part of the initial consultation but I think they got it wrong: it’s not about ‘financial accountability’, it was about making sure you get the support needed at home during a time when your back will be going through some significant changes (for the better). Thankfully my family could pitch-in with the chores while I was doing the program as I didn’t want the good work being performed by BCOC unwittingly reversed by my enthusiasm to take the garbage out or reach things high on shelves for my wife. It’s a collaborative effort! I should say something about the ‘apparatus’ and I think everyone’s experience is different. It’s essentially traction, but it’s not ‘medieval castle-dungeon’ traction, it’s 21st century, computer-controlled traction using a back harness and specific geometry to target the problem area in your back. That said, yeah, when you get off the machine it can feel ‘weird’, but you’re on ice immediately afterwards so that mitigates any discomfort. Before the program, I would ‘put my back out’ constantly and SUFFER for weeks. I was not even able to drive the 20 minutes to work without stopping halfway, getting out, and stretching it out. After finishing the program my back isn’t ‘perfect’ but it’s SO MUCH more stable and rarely gives me pain. As I said at the beginning of this post it’s been 7 years and in that time, I’ve occasionally put back out (2-3 times) but after a good night’s sleep it bounces right back and I’m good as new! Finally, I should say a word about the staff at Back Clinics of Canada. First Dr Ron is always approachable and has a quick wit that really resonated well with me. The staff there were always so nice and helpful with me regarding my appointments, my health, and even remembered details about my family and asked how they were. It’s a very nice atmosphere and I highly recommend trying this care.

This review is by Henry. Finally I have a moment and enthusiasm to review this clinic. I came there being initially helped by one chiropractor and then crippled by another. It was a tough choice because of the cost. Yes, the treatment of the Back Clinics is expensive but it works. After completing 20 sessions of traction, which also included laser treatments, orthotics and the belt I felt more than 50% improvement of my bad sciatica resulting from the bulged disk (L4/L5, L5/S1). The facilities are excellent, personnel is attentive and polite and, so, if you can afford this treatment, go for it. The maintenance instructions are helpful and, after two months of completing the treatment, and thanks to continuous exercises, I am getting better and better finally living a quality life. Thanks Dr. Ron and his wonderful staff!

Also, the staff were very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. After total treatment, my issue was healed 99.9% and still doing very well. 1 year ago i was on tour pushing through the most intense back and leg/sciatic pain that i have ever endured! 10 months ago i decided it was time to stop chasing my dream and start looking at a very hard truth that i needed to see for me to understand the concept that my mental health and physical health was deteriorating rapidly at the point and i would not last another tour. My family and my girlfriend were taking care of everything for me because i had very little mobility or strength to do practically anything for myself anymore. This also was culminating with constantly being up all night due to the pain and accomplishing roughly 1 to 2 hours of sleep a night. It went on like this for years. It was so hard for me that after 22 years of playing drums, my band at the time reaching great success, had to move on without me and i also knew that i didn't want to leave them because i believed in the music, the vision and them as people so much that it took me about 2 months to realize the exit strategy so both parties could move on respectfully! To close out this incredible life/musical chapter, I endured a 12 hour music video shoot that left me in the worst of the worst pain i have ever felt and total immobility beyond the bathroom in which usually took me 5 sometimes 10 minutes to get to and from, as well as two shows at the beginning of March thus really driving home the point that i needed to really take the proper time to enjoy every bit of the rest of my life. This brings me to Dr. Ron Nusbaum of Back Clinics of Canada.............. Oh my goodness after too many years of doctors trying to convince me that my pain was not as bad as what i was making it out to be, everyone goes through it, get more sleep, take more pills, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!!!! I finally found some amazing companions in Dr. Nusbaum and his absolutely immaculate staff who did absolutely everything they could to make sure i was placed in the right direction for a proper MRI when my actual family doctors from years past to present were telling me that xray was the way to go (not actually checking anything internally by the way) and expecting me to just live with it when my gut always said that an MRI would show the truth if one of these weirdos would simply sign off for me for one and help me! Going rogue and a lot of money out of pocket proved that i was right. And they knew it too because everyone at Back Clinics listened and went out of their way help. Everyone is so personable, loyal, open, honest and most of all care about nothing but making sure that the individual is treated as the individual that they are. Because of all of their efforts and a lot of relentless work put in on my own time, my final exam came back that i am infact 95% fully recovered. Today i live pain free minus the stiffness i feel in the morning from being in the same position all night and then i do my stretches and it all goes back to normal as it should. I am back to working out full time and i am staying as head strong as i can to start my new life and begin the process of building my own session drumming business. For now, i am now taking this week to celebrate life pain free and i have my mom, my dad, my lovely lady, and Back Clinics of Canada to humbly thank endlessly for helping put this humpty dumpty back together again. For as long as I can remember, I have had some sort of back pain; but in the past 1-1/2 to 2 years, I started experiencing back spasms. I couldn’t sit, stand, lie down, or even just move without being afraid of going into a spasm again. My lifestyle suffered, and I was physically and mentally drained. I tried everything - physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractor, and acupuncture. Nothing worked other than the temporary relief those services provided. The final straw came one night when I was lying on the living room floor crying. My husband (Bob) and I listen to Newstalk 1010 every morning while getting ready for work and we always hear the Back Clinics of Canada commercial. After that night lying on the floor crying, Bob suggested I call. “It’s worth a try” he said. “We've tried everything else. You can’t go on like this.” The first time I walked into the Back Clinic’s office I felt at home. I was greeted with friendly smiles, a bottle of water, and the overall atmosphere was uplifting. At my consultation, Dr. Nusbaum showed genuine concern and when he examined my condition, he told me that I would be a good candidate for the treatment. I was relieved that there was finally hope for me. The next day before my first session, I was not able to stand up straight due to pain. I walked out of there with great posture and I had a huge smile on my face. After about 5 more sessions, I started noticing considerable differences in my movement. I have just finished my treatment and I can honestly say I feel 95% better than when I walked in. The other 5% I believe is my responsibility to keep up the assigned exercises to strengthen my back/core - which is truly important for proper recovery. I am currently conditioning my core and it makes a world of difference. I’m finally able to roll over in bed without the back stabbing pain; I can bend over the sink to wash my face and brush my teeth; I can bend over to put my shoes on. All the simple things in life that we take for granted are starting to become simple again. I can finally carry on with everyday life and do the things I want. Dr. Nusbaum is kindhearted, very professional and ethical in his practice, and his staff are outstanding individuals. It shows that everyone is dedicated and takes special care of every patient. My name is Rosa, I'm 66 years old, I suffered with a disc bulge at the lumbar spine causing back and knee pain for about a year (although the pain was always there for many years before). Be aware that this clinic is extremely expensive. We are talking 250$ for ONE session of decompression and 100$ for a 5-10min session of laser usually done afterwards. The staff are nice, and they do give you a free trial session but STILL, Dr. Nusbaum you can shoot me down here all you want but these are facts. poor souls out there looking for pain relief should know. My insurance did not cover even a third of the cost because it far exceeded the ‘reasonable amount’ for one session. Also we had some trouble verifying that he is a chiro (he is not registered in the Ontario site for some reason). Sorry to be so brutal but it’s the truth. If you hate my review maybe it’s time to change the predatory pricing (decompression is 50$ per session in my home town Bowmanville) To end on a positive note, he did go through my MRI scan and show me the herniation, that may have been worth the extra 200$ I guess.

I am a 44 year old physician who was extremely fit and active before suffering a left L4-L5 disc herniation in March 2020. For those who have suffered similarly, you know the extent to which an individual will go to to experience pain relief and functionality. My initial therapeutic journey included acupuncture, physiotherapy, Eldoa, Lagree, Fascial Stretch, local injections, and literally every pain medication imaginable. Nothing worked. From a customer service point of view, this clinic is stellar. I have my own medical clinic and was always impressed with the teams' dedication to excellence. They have always been accommodating to me and welcome me with the same smiles and kindness as the first day I visited. And everyone's expertise is exemplary, from the front desk, to the technicians, to the practitioner. Dr. Ron told me I was a "slow burner" and needed some extended treatment. I could have sunk because of my desperation to get better ASAP. But his team always reinforced that I needed to stay positive because a disc herniation recovery is a roller coaster that can test your faith and hope. Through it all Dr. Ron was always reassuring and never gave up on me. And finally, I am reaping the rewards. I rarely write google reviews. But BCC gave me my life and functionality back. Individuals seeking lower back pain relief should consider Dr. Ron’s program earlier in their therapeutic journey. I have suffered with back pain for most of my adult life. In November of 2014 I unfortunately had to stop working due to the level of my back pain that was overwhelming. After trying conventional treatments, physio, chiropractors, message therapy, and some acupuncture, none of which were successful in relieving my pain, my spouse found The Back Clinics of Canada. After signing up for the treatment, I was a bit apprehensive at first, then realized I needed to give this a try. With the incredible support from my spouse and Dr. Nusbaum's team, I eventually started feeling results. I was also going longer and longer without using any MM. Two months ago I would need medication from the time I woke up, to the time I went to bed. Now, thanks to the treatment, I can occasionally go without any medication for the whole day. On most days I am able to go until early evening or before bed. Dr. Nusbaum and his team are some of the most enthusiastic professionals I have ever been treated by. After 2 years of increasing Neck pain, headaches and having tried conventional methods of treatment I need a different solution. I found exactly that at Back Clinics of Canada. Dr. Nusbaum unique approach of nonsurgical spinal decompression and K4 Laser really worked! After the first week of treatment the headaches went away and the pain level drop significantly. After two weeks I felt virtual pain free. Even though Covid19 stopped my treatment for many weeks the pain did not come back. We were greeted by friendly knowledgeable staff. Very accommodating for scheduling and payment plan. My husband George has had severe back pain and we learned of Back Clinics of Canada when researching non-surgical treatments. George had tried chiro, physio and acupuncture without much relief. I play soccer and I had lower back disc hernia in 2017. For than 4 hears, I’ve been suffering from an agonizing pain specially in winter. When winter comes and the hernia hits, my torso tilts to the right and my hips go left and the pain is unbearable. I’ve seen 6 doctors. Some said surgical intervention might ease the pain, but success rate is very slim. Others said to live with the pain for the rest of my life. I almost lost hope and that impacted my life negatively. In the last two years my neck and shoulder pain were something I just thought I had to live with. Then it interfered with my work as a house cleaner the days of lifting a couch with one hand while vacuuming underneath it with the other were obviously over. My husband suggested I see Dr.Ron. I drove from Burlington to Vaughan for my treatments. Worth it! Here is some advice that I will share while going through treatment: 1) your back is the mother board to your whole health that means take care of It! 2) It's hard to put on a happy face when you are in pain but take the positive thinking route while doing your treatment. Dr. Ron and his team are always smiling and creating a positive environment to encourage that. ( how they do that everyday while listening to people complain all the time is outstanding...honestly!) 3)Do what they tell you to do when it comes to rest and then a stretch plan. I didn't cause habits are hard to break and Godforbid I take time for myself.. someone may think I'm selfish or Something! 4) Meditate......I know it sounds hokey pokey but I started to do it and gave myself permission as a busy mom to take the time to do it during my last sessions and it seriously helped. I wish I had done it from the beginning. 5) if you feel just paying the money and going for treatments entitles you to instant gratification in being cured...stay home. Because I didn't follow my advice as above from the beginning my treatments have taken me longer with definite improvement as I don't live on pain meds everyday anymore or consistent heating pads or ice packs as I have traded those in for being conscience of my ability and needs ....hope this helps you all. :)

I am quite young, in my twenties, and started treatment for my bulging disks and sciatica pain. 20 Years ago I was diagnosed with herniated disc in my lower lumbar spine causing back pain and sciatica nerve pain in my left leg. My doctor's recommendation for care was physiotherapy, but I still suffered with no real relief. I also tried acupuncture, massage therapy, regular chiropractic care, I was even hospitalized once a year and was on morphine because the pain was so bad. Before discovering Back Clinics of Canada, I had been suffering with debilitating sciatica for over 7 months. I thought I had exhausted every option for care as I had spent thousands of dollars (out of pocket) on chiropractic, physiotherapy, acupuncture, osteopathy and massage and was no better for it. In fact, these treatments were just making the situation worse as it seemed that none of these people fully understood sciatica (despite all claiming they had a thorough understanding of this condition). The pain was affecting every aspect of my life from work to family time, and everything in between. I was referred to a surgeon and just could not accept that invasive surgery was the only option. My husband suffered a herniated disc in 2017 playing soccer and in 4 years we’ve seen 6 doctors and 3 physical therapists. Before the injury in 2017, he played soccer 3 days a week and when he’s not, he’s in the gym. After the injury, he stopped all activities because of the pain and couldn’t walk for 10 minutes without suffering from back pain. The pain was at its worst in Winter. He can’t stand, sit or sleep without painkillers. He had crooked back and weighed 208 lb (104 kg). The doctors we met had gave us 2 options. Surgery or painkillers for the rest of his life. I visited this clinic in 2010 to figure out if the technique used by Dr. Nisbaum could work for me. At that time my lower back pain was severe enough to undertake something different from manual therapy that I had undergone before with no noticeable results. Dr. Nisbaum indeed was sympathetic, very attentive, and looked professional in his area, although one of his preliminary checks of my spine condition confused me. After introductory words he laid me on a bunk and lifted several times my legs to clear out, as I guessed, at what legs’ position I experienced the pain. In another check Dr. Nisbaum asked me to sit and with a device looking like a multimeter did some measurements of resistance (?) between two points along my spine… After that Dr. Nisbaum told me that I was approved for treatment. I also recall that there was a middle age lady who enthusiastically was telling me a story of her healing. Anyway, before saying okay I questioned Dr. Nisbaum about a technique he had been using to treat his patients. Basically, as far as I could understand from brief information he provided me with, that was a mechanical system that in a programmable way stretched patient body at specific locations. So, I agreed to start treatment… but refused immediately after learning that I had to pay upfront several thousand bucks for the treatment consisting of 20+ sessions. I was not comfortable to pay that amount of money with no guarantee of success. I would prefer to ‘pay as I go’ with an opportunity to stop treatment and paying anytime if I didn’t see any progress in my condition or if my case proved simple enough and my pain would have miraculously disappeared in just few sessions. Anyway, I said goodbye to Dr. Nisbaum and wished him all the best in his business. My visit to Dr. Nisbaum’s clinic was not waste of time, though. I ‘invented’ my own technique that worked perfectly for me. You wouldn’t believe, but it was just … a bottle of water! After applying that simple technique for some time the pain had gone. So, now being 70 years of age I am pain free for more than 5 years! I have almost forgotten about ‘Back Clinics of Canada’. One doesn’t care about the clinic if pain does not bother him or her. But recently, with my radio tuned to 1010 AM, an ad was caught by my ears. That was the ad about ‘Back Clinics of Canada’ and tremendous popularity and success in treatment of pain in that clinic. The 1010 AM host briefly questioned Dr. Nisbaum about his clinic mentioning that people suffering from spinal pain are rushing into that clinic from all over world. Dr. Nisbaum replied in the sense that part of the success of his clinic is CLASS 4 LASER which is being used for effective pain treatment. Wow! Class 4 laser! That’s something! With my background in laser physics and laser safety as well as from medical publications, I know first hand that for most of laser therapeutic procedures positive results are either not clinically proven or questionable. If some of those procedures look as having a positive effect (shortening of healing time of wounds, for example), it does not mean that there is no a placebo factor involved. Some specific wavelengths of lasers indeed provide photo/thermo-chemical reactions/effects in human tissues. What type of a laser Dr. Nisbaum is applying for treatment? I don’t know. But my guess is that it can be a relatively inexpensive diode laser operating at 808 nm – near infrared radiation that can penetrate about 1/2 inch under the skin into human tissue. The effect is most likely thermal. The same thermal effect can be obtained, for example, by incandescent bulbs that have much lower price tag… In conclusion, I would like to warn potential patients of ‘BCC’ not to be fooled by CLASS 4 LASER that has a questionable positive effect in treatment of back pain while definitely affects the price of treatment - you are right – making it higher.

The consultation was informative, Dr. Ron went through all my test results and took the time to explain what they actually showed. Once the treatment started it took a few sessions to see any signs of improvement after completing the program the back pain has been reduced dramatically to the point I can now go for walks and stand for long period of times. I was suffering from mid back pain for a number of years and after my initial consultation with Dr. Ron he reviewed the MRI and explained that I had some disc damage in my neck. I completed my course of treatment in early 2020 and began a maintenance phase shortly thereafter. I had tried various treatments prior to attending the back clinic, including regular chiropractic visits, physiotherapy, acupuncture and massage therapy but nothing helped to alleviate the debilitating back spasms. Since completing my treatment the back spasms have all but disappeared and I can undertake physical activities without the back pain. In 2012 or 2013, I was experiencing severe pain in my lower back. I expected to have these spasms about twice every year and it took about six weeks to calm down and make life bearable again. On this particular occasion, it wasn't showing much improvement over the six weeks and I was desperate for relief. I found Back Clinics of Canada on the internet and scheduled a free consultation, bringing my X-rays with me. I met Ron who explained in detail what was going on and how he could help over 20 sessions. I agreed to move ahead on the spot though it was not inexpensive. However, life without a functioning back is no fun at all so I rationalized it as an investment in myself and my future happiness.. The first three 22 minute session were noticeably painful but by the time I left the clinic I was no longer in pain. By session six I could feel a real improvement and I looked thereafter forward to each session. It was fun to talk with other patients while in the heating area and to hear about and see their progress as well. Almost everyone I spoke with had a similar experience as mine, real improvement after half a dozen sessions. After session 20 I was given some exercises to do. I did some but not all of them but I also did older back exercises that I was familiar with. The long and short is that it is now six or seven years later and I have not had a single lasting spasm during that time. Occasionally I overdo things and my back will hurt for a day but I've never been close to the situation I was in for many years before doing the program. The exercises are key and I believe they've helped me strengthen my back to the point where I won't have severe back pain again. So while the program is not for everyone and is costly, it's a great option for those who don't know what to do next. Surgery is something I would never want to have and knowing there is an option that can actually reverse back pain and keep it that way, is something I am truly grateful for. That's my story and every word is true.

One of my best decisions. I had spinal fusion on C6 and C7 a year and a half ago. That went well but I developed lower back problems that were finally diagnosed as a compressed L5 disc. This also affected other ligaments connected to the back. I had K-laser treatment for this in the U.S. along with stretching on a manual machine. The K-laser helped but the stretching machine not so much. I contacted Back Clinics of Canada via internet reviews and thank goodness I did. Firstly, the people are exceptional in all aspects of procedures they offer. Always a smile and very proficient and knowledgeable.Dr. Ron has trained them well and observes in the event his expertise is required. I have read some of the other reviews and wanted to point out some things that I think are important. The decompression table is second to none. Having experiencing the basic manual units, the difference is enormous.Within 2 sessions I could already feel a substantial improvement. I am now at 11 of 20 and have no pain in L5. The combination of this table and the K-laser cannot be overstated; simply amazing. On top of that Dr. Ron has performed 2 chiropractic procedures on me that has virtually eliminated the ligament pain. What I noticed is that they don't do everything at once but rather in progression. They clearly know at what point each process should be initiated. I read some reviews regarding the cost and thought I should point out that in the U.S. K-laser treatments are about 10% higher once the exchange rate is calculated. Regarding the Decompression unit, I never saw one anywhere but here and know that this unit alone is in the low six figures. They are obviously investing heavily to address the needs of their clientele and this comes with a price; but let me say that it's so minimal visa vie the results; I find it hard to believe anyone would complain. Not everyone heals the same and all of us have specific issues to deal with, but I have no hesitation in giving Dr. Ron and his incredible staff a 5 star rating for the tremendous service they provide. FYI; I travel from Blue Mountains, ON to Vaughn, 3 times a week; that's how worth it their solution is to me. Going to the driving range next week, finally!

I am a twenty five year old woman, struggling with three herniated disks. I have been battling this ailment for the last 5 years experiencing the worst pain in the most recent year. This is been the worst year of my life. Though the pain in my spine was very bad, the nerve pain from my herniated disks was the worst pain a human being can ever experience. It feels like you are on fire and the pain is relentless. It never eases up and is constantly excruciating. The pain got so bad I wasn’t able to work, socialize, sleep, lie down, sit or stand. I rolled around on the couch or in bed crying constantly. This pain had brought me to an exceptionally dark place. I struggled with severe anxiety and depression because of the pain I was experiencing. I have been to numerous physiotherapists, chiropractors and massage therapists. Visited pain clinics and even spoke with a surgeon. However because of my age they had declined me. I have tried everything you can imagine (aside from surgery) to try and fix my severe pain but unfortunately nothing has helped and some had even made the pain worse. I was in agony. I was put on multiple medications in an effort to manage the pain and help me get a little bit of relief but not much had helped. I hated the thought of living the rest of my life doped up on pain medication and continually suffering from the horrendous side effects. I had become overwhelmed and depressed with the situation I had found myself in. After a visit with my family doctor who upped my dose of pain medication I decided to do whatever I had to do in order to get a little bit of normalcy back in my life. I was able to get back to work, sleep through the night, walk to the grocery store and do all of those everyday tasks I wasn’t able to do for so long. Although there were some bumps in the road, I currently feel amazing. My nerve pain is completely gone. I no longer take any extra pain medication, I am not popping pills all day long just to get through the day or to fall asleep at night. Dr. Nusbaum is phenomenal. I have a special place in my heart for the man that aided me in my journey back to a normal life. As a young woman I truly felt like I wasn’t ever going to be able to live a remotely normal life, but he has changed it all around for me. He is the most vibrant and positive person always in a good mood, singing around the office. He knows what he is talking about and has a solution for all of your issues. I personally was struggling with a really sore pelvis and tailbone and he knew exactly what it was and how to help. I am writing this review to get the word out that there is hope for this debilitating disease. If you find yourself in a similar circumstance I highly recommend Dr. Nusbaum and Back Clinics of Canada. Though Dr. Nusbaum will tell you that it might not work for everyone, I would encourage anyone experiencing this level of unstoppable pain to give it a try. It just may change your life.

I found out of Back Clinics of Canada after suffering with back pain for many years and really bad pain just lately in the months of December 2020 and beginning of January 2021 where i deveoped sciatic pain shooting down my left side leg. I originally had a setback in 2002 where i hurt my lower back while working roofing as i was a student prior to joining university. Ever since i have had discomfort and the pain comes and goes. The Dr. and staff at Back Clinics of Canada are amazing. They truly care for their patients and my experience there was great. I attented a 5 week program with 4 sessions per week and i started seeing relief right towards end of week 2. Previously i had tried accupunture physio massage therapy but they did help in the interim but only for a short time. I am pain free now and able to do the things i want. The program is a bit pricey but if you have really bad pain and want to get out of it consider it an investment for your health. Insurance covered 25% of the cost for me. I would highly recommend visiting Back Clinics of Canada if you have bad pain and want out of it.

I feel that Dr. Ron Nusbaum and his staff have qualities that are rare to find in the medical industry nowadays, which are compassionate, committed, quality care and an overall genuine love and devotion of wanting to help their patients to regain their lives, pain free! If I were to ever need their help, I would be there instantly. Dr. Ron, as well as his staff, are all kind, warm, and friendly people. Most people come here with the "I've been to see everyone, tried everything and nothing has helped me" scenario, and from what I have heard from the existing patients, is that they are seeing improvement, feeling better, becoming pain free and are feeling a sense of hope, where their hope had been lost before. My name is Patricia Tirone, and I had been suffering from severe lower back pain for the past year and a bit. In November of 2017 I decided to go and see my family doctor, and I was finally diagnosed with Degenerative Disc. Doing everyday daily activities like walking, driving, standing,and even sitting was becoming very painful for me and taking pain medication just wasn't cutting it anymore. My husband and I found out about Back Clinics of Canada through a T.V. commercial, and I made the call and set up my consultation appointment right away. On May 7, 2018 I went in and spoke with Dr Ron at Back Clinics of Canada, and I was a good candidate for treatment. On Wednesday May 9 I started my treatment and as of today May 17, 2018 I will be having my 6th treatment and I can't believe how much better I am feeling. I feel like my old self again and I am able to do the things that I loved to do all over again. There high performance healing treatment is the best. She answered all of our questions and was so accommodating in setting up an appointment to coincide with our short layover in Toronto, between flights at the end of March. We saw Dr. Ron on March 31, 2016 and felt confident that his treatment, Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression and Level 4 Laser, would definitely help Oral. Oral had been diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease in his lower back and his neck. He was experiencing a great deal of pain all the time. There were occasions when he had to use a wheelchair. We returned to Toronto in May 2016 and Oral had his first treatment on May 30th. We decided to go with getting treatment on both areas, neck and lower back. We were told not to expect too much too soon, but after his first treatment he found a huge difference in his neck. Soon after he began to see a difference in his lower back too. After completing the total program, he is 95% better than when we arrived here. He has minimal discomfort and can walk without pain, something he hasn’t been able to do for at least 2 years. I, too have suffered with Degenerative Disc Disease in my neck for years. So about 2 weeks into Oral’s treatment we decided that I should give it a try. Needless to say, I feel great. After going to a physio therapist for 6 months with no result, I went to Back Clinics of Canada and saw Dr Ron Nusbaum. He was tremendous. He was able to provide treatment and daily exercises that within weeks I felt an incredible difference an with in months was able to play sports again. I also have a 12 year old son who had chronic back, shoulder and neck pain. He suffers from Scoliosis. I brought him to doctors and physio therapist for almost 2 years and even if the pain was relieved it would constantly come back. I brought him to have him seen by Dr Ron. Dr Ron was able to see that he suffered from flat feet and one leg was longer than the other. I am a licensed golf instructor and I facilitate a golf-retail business in Cambridge, Ontario. In March of 2015, I was diagnosed with a general neuropathy emanating from my lower back region, as spinal stenosis. I experienced chronic back pain, right leg numbness, and imbalance in walking. My 13 yr old was suffering from terrible hip pain, back pain, and headaches. Dr. Nusbaum determined a combination of various issues that were leading to my son's pain and designed customized orthotics for him to take care of the problems (he was also terrific when working with my son and made him feel really comfortable). Back Clinics of Canada and Dr. Ron Nusbaum have greatly improved my quality of life over the last 6 weeks of treatment. I am a 34 year old female who has been suffering with a bulging disc in my lower back for the last 16 months. The pain has been constant and varied from moderate to completely debilitating, and has included nerve pain down the legs from sciatica. Previous treatments from physiotherapy, acupuncture and massage therapy had provided slight relief, but after a recent relapse, I knew I had to try something different. Six weeks ago, I painfully limped into Back Clinics of Canada and thankfully was accepted as a patient. Treatment has consisted of spinal decompression, laser therapy, nutritional supplements, specialized stretches and adjustments. The warm, friendly, patient and very professional atmosphere at the clinic has also aided me tremendously in dealing with the psychological lows of dealing with the chronic pain and feelings of hopelessness. Fast forward six weeks and I am now completely off all nerve pain medication, the occasional Percocet I would take on really bad days, and Advil! I now only take Tylenol Arthritis once or twice a day which helps relieve the pain from arthritis. I’m also extremely happy to say that a recent MRI now confirms that there is NO BULGING DISC ANYMORE! I will continue to see the clinic for continued maintenance care to continue strengthening my back/core and to improve disc health. I am very happy to have found Dr. Nusbaum and his staff and encourage anyone who is suffering from back pain to seriously consider a visit - you have everything to gain.

I have greatly with back suffered with for six years. The only way I could way I could get through the day was to rely on heavy pain killers. While searching for some way to find relief from my pain I came across Back Clinics of Canada. I was very impressed by their statement that the consultation was free and if they could not they would so during the consultation . Unfortunately it was after the beginning of coved19 so we thought to call and at least get in on awaiting list. We were amazed that they could set up an appointment right away and the protocol setup for coved19 was outstanding from parking lot to treatment. The consultation was very informative and at no time was any pressure applied in any way to further treatment . I felt totally comfortable during this time. The staff and Dr, Ron had outstanding manner and expertise during all this time. There were never any promises made about the outcome just that they would do their utmost to try and alleviate my severe back and left leg pain. My name is Rob Munce. I am an endodontist in Burlington, Ontario and I have been suffering on and off with severe back pain for about 4 years. The pain and limitation of movement I have had has at times kept me from working. It has also made it impossible for me to enjoy my regular gym workouts of even a walk with my wife. I have had regular, appropriate and excellent physiotherapy and until late last year was able to resolve symptoms. For several months before I went to Back Clinics of Canada, I had excruciating pain and numbness in my lower back and left leg. Physiotherapy was not resolving my pain and I had to walk bent over. I could only manage a few meters before having to sit. I also couldn't stand for more than a few minutes at a time. I felt something different needed to be done and I wanted a non-surgical solution if possible. I also finally heeded my son's(he's a radiologist) advice and had an MRI of my lumbar spine. This confirmed that I had what Dr. Nusbaum(Dr. Ron) called a "whopper" of a herniated disc. My wife and I had a consultation with Dr. Ron and he did a thorough history, physical examination and review of the MRI imaging and report. There are pretty strict criteria for accepting someone for this treatment(spinal decompression and high performance healing program). Dr. Ron is careful about making sure you satisfy those criteria before recommending his treatment. As a patient, you are presented with a great deal of information about the treatment and the rationale for it. You are certainly free to accept or reject it. All of us health care providers are bound by strict codes of ethics and we are obliged to do our best to adequately inform our patients. I feel that Dr. Ron and his team accomplished this throughout my evaluation, treatment and follow up. I have just recently finished my treatment and I am pain free for the first time in months. I am standing and walking straight and my back feels stronger. I am also sleeping much more comfortably. This program takes a great deal of commitment and diligence on the part of the patient but it is definitely worth it. I enjoyed my treatment. I felt cared for in a professional and truly compassionate way. Everything else becomes secondary to being free of the pain and restrictions. I want to give you my opinion of Back Clinics of Canada. I have been in extreme pain for the last 4 years. I have taken drugs and anti-inflammatory meds. I have also seen a surgeon in a Toronto Hospital, I feel I am not a good person, physically, to receive the surgery. I saw the ad for Back Clinics on the computer while looking for a pain clinic that would inject drugs into my spine, that sounds real scary. Well I checked out what the treatment entailed and then I went for my FREE visit to talk to the doctor and see the people in the waiting room. I asked the patients how things where going, and really they didn't say anything that would make me run out the door. I had to take a handicapped bus from Bolton to Vaughan. No place to run! When I meet Dr. Ron I realized he was in the same graduation class as my Toronto Chiropractor, so if he was as nice and as good as my long time Dr. Porter than it couldn't be all that bad. Really if you check out the treatment and the equipment they use, the things that are included in the package it's pretty good. We are just not used to paying for anything medical, we are spoiled. So I got the money! This was the best decision I have ever made, except getting my little dog, Taipo. I just finished my 1st follow up visit and I am able to think about taking my dog for a walk. I know my back, hip and leg are on the way to being healthy again. I just have to really start my Boot Camp exercises. Oh God hate exercises. When I first came to the clinic I was limping, taking a variety of pain killers (including narcotics), and unsure if I would ever get my life back. When I expressed concern about an element of my experience, Dr. Nusbaum took it seriously and quickly implemented a change that corrected the problem. My experience with Dr Ron, Shannon and laser technicians has been nothing more of a blessing which came in a form of a review I read on social media through a childhood friend who was suffering from back disorder who recommended them. My experience at Back Clinics has been stellar to-date. All staff are welcoming warm and friendly. Dr. Nusbaum is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, generous, and very helpful. The decompression therapy, laser treatments, lumbar support belt, custom orthotics and the flexibility and strength-building exercises have helped me tremendously over the past 3 -4 months. Yes, the full treatment plan is expensive (at least for me), but it's comprehensive and I viewed it as a long-term investment in my overall health and quality of life. I'm hopeful that as I continue to follow the exercise program and I now embark on the maintenance program, this will allow me to continue to re-build the strength, stability and flexibility of my lumbar spine, which has been compromised over many years with what appears to have been a bulging disc. (I say 'appears' only because an x-ray can't show a soft-tissue problem and an MRI wasn't accessible to me when I came to the clinic.) Intermittent and recurring lower back pain and sporadic immobility is no fun and the treatments here have alleviated that pattern in the short-term and hopefully for the long-term! There is a DEFINITIVE change in my posture and I can feel and see the difference in my alignment and my movement. As an older dancer and athlete, the success of this treatment is critical to my well-being physically, spiritually and emotionally. I'm grateful for the journey and the opportunity this treatment has given me to re-focus my own energies on my back health. I would like to share my experience with the Back Clinics of Canada. I am a nurse who for many years have dealt with debilitating back pain,my mobility was decreasing more & more & my world was shrinking because of it. I had no further options except to accept my disability. I heard about the Back Clinics of Canada & thought that this may offer me another option. My husband was a Dr.& my son is a physiotherapist & they both agreed & encouraged me to look into it. I had to have 2 knee replacements done first & then I made the appointment. I was so impressed with the sincere kindness,support & encouragement they offered to me. Dr. Ron Nusbaum was very upfront & honest about what I could expect. It was so refreshing for me to meet someone who has been in the medical field for many years & who is still so enthusiastic about his work & his genuine care & fondness for his patients. During my 5 weeks of treatment I observed & talked to many of his patients in varying stages of their treatment. I witnessed people come in bent over in pain using a cane & left walking straight & unaided.The clients encourage each other, offering hope & faith to those who's progress was not as fast as others. But I saw lives change in there. Dr. Ron, Cheryl, Laura,Millie & Alexis are such a supportive,accommodating team of professionals, they really do inspire you as some days you may feel progress is slower than some others & they are there to talk,listen & answer all your questions & concerns. My name is Savi Ramhit and I have been suffering from lower back pain since 2009 which got progressively worse in 2015. In April 2015 it became very difficult for me to sit, stand, walk, getting on and off the bed. It was also difficult and painful for me to pick up my two year old grand nephew and to bend down to do my gardening and my house chores such as vacuuming and mopping. I tried physio and acupuncture but got no relief from the pain. I also went to the gym hoping that the exercise would help. Nothing did. In desperation I turned to the internet for help. I saw the Back Clinics of Canada listed and read the patients reviews. The majority of the reviews I read were very positive. I was looking for reviews that mentioned lower back pain and degenerative disc. There were some patients with similar back problem like me and they were very happy with the treatment that Dr. Ron provided. I decided to give the Back Clinics of Canada a try. I spoke to Shannon on the phone and she was very helpful in answering my questions. I then made an appointment to see Dr. Ron for consultation. I saw Dr. Ron and he recommended I get an MRI done on my neck and lower back which showed bulging disc in my neck and lower back. I just completed my 20 sessions of treatment which consisted of heat, decompression, ice and laser followed by adjustments after 50% of the treatment was completed. Halfway through the treatment, Dr. Ron reviewed my progress and I was given an option to opt out if I felt the treatment was not helping. Honestly, the pain level had improved very little but I chose to continue to the end, and I am glad I did. I am happy to report that I have now completed my treatment and I do not feel any pain in my lower back. I can move about freely without feeling any pain. I would like to extend my thanks to Dr Ron and his entire staff for taking care of me. They are truly a bunch of caring ladies who go out on a limb to make sure the patients are well looked after. I have 2 anular tears and a bulging disc, they told me they could fix it. The tears got worse after 1 session and THEY PUT ME IN THE HOSPITAL. LITERALLY I WAS TAKEN FROM THERE IN AN AMBULANCE. Dr Ron was referred to me by my father in law who chose to undergo treatment at Backclinics and rejected back surgery in his cervical stenosis case. When I witnessed my 80 year old father in law resume a completely mobile existence without any pain, I decided to try it. For months, my lower back was giving me such pain, I walked hunched over and couldn’t sleep at night. I am 47 years old and this frightened me. But after just 10 treatments, I was almost back to normal. After completing the prescribed therapy, I can honestly say I’m completely back to normal and I don’t need the anti inflammatory medication anymore or quite rarely. My wife has had Zero improvement to her back issues. All this place wants to do is take your money and then try to sell you further treatment and of course products on they're shelf. We feel so ashamed, we were so naive to the sales pitch we were given. Afterwards we were told by two back specialist and one Surgeon that we never should have gone to this place.

I had back pain for S1-L5 since 2018 and i visited different physiotropist and chiropractors ( in Montreal And Toronto) which almost none of them really helped me much. But thanks to Dr. Ron and his great team, now I can say I feel better and see the difference. His program really helped me to back to normal life. I definately recommend this clinic if you also -like me- have tried different techniques and have not get the result yet. --New updates after 3 weeks of treatment: 1. The back pain has back but with less severity. So This treatment is somehow working but need follow up and care even for 10 yrs as Dr. Stuart Mcgill also said somewhere in his book! Adv.: 1. The The DRX9000 spinal decompression device is really an advance in improving back pain. 2. The staff and doctor Ron are all professionally treated with honest and their best of their knowledge. 3. The vibe is also so friendly. 4. The place is clean. 5. Attention to the details during the treatment is one of the most advantages of this clinic. Disadv.: 1. I have had back pain for over 10 years just managing day to day, which I am sure some of you may be able to relate on how difficult life is having to live with constant pain.
