I decided to try seeing a chiropractor in hopes of easing some shoulder pain I have been having for the past several months. I have just started my treatments with Dr. Jason Hare. My first appointment was an assessment which included X-rays (which were done on site!) He was able to point out and explain things that were out of alignment etc. He came up with a treatment plan after reviewing my X-rays. I was a little apprehensive before the first treatment, he explained everything and ultimately I learned that there was nothing to fear as it doesn't hurt ???? Today's appointment I had to bring my young daughter along with me and he took a couple of minutes to answer her questions about the spine model he had on his desk. Dr. Jason Hare is kind and professional and takes the time to get to know his patients. I feel like he really cares about fixing my pain.

My first visit I was x-rayed and put under the microscope, I've never been x-rayed by a chiro before! Dr Jason explained that he wanted to make sure that I had a condition that called for chiropractic attention and if I didn't, he wouldn't need to treat me. I was astounded, seriously, he wasn't going to treat me? Most medical personnel just like to make $$$, but Dr J really cares about his patients. Hands down, as for my first time experiencing chiropractic care I was actually blown away with the professional, super kind and caring and extremely thorough the doctor is and he does his own personal exam of your issues at hand by hands on exam and then through his own x-ray machine which is onsite and depending on your issues he may have special x-ray positions that aren't normally done at our local x-ray clinics, so with all this info disclosed, now it's up to you to find out what an amazing small clinic, with awesome front desk ladies that are adorable and kind, and the doctor himself well I can only say this, if you feel you may need some chiropractic care, call the clinic and book a consultation....good luck!

After a car accident more than 10 years ago with no lasting relief from the pain especially in my neck and right shoulder blade, I was referred to Jason by Kavita at Red Door Yoga. She thought it would help with my yoga practice and what I was trying to achieve. I wasn't overly hopeful I admit and I'd learned to live with the pain. I was comfortably uncomfortable. But I went to see anyway since I had not fully explored Chiropratic care as an option in the past (and it was after all Kavita making the recommendation). Jason is very educational in his approach and he offered exercises to do in-between sessions that really help to maintain the work we do together. The nerve pain is nearly gone and I can honestly say I'm the most comfortable I've been in my body since before the accident. My yoga practice feels deeper as a result and I feel more connected to myself too. At the time of writing this review I have been seeing Jason since July 2014. First 3 times a week, then two times a week, then once a week and now once a month. It's a process you need to commit to, but your results will tell you to continue. And Jason is extremely kind and capable about what he does and how he does it.

Okay, I guess I lucked out that I happened to live near Pure Chiropractic reading these reviews! I didn't read any before booking, but looks safe to say he's your a best bet for a Chiro in Nanaimo. I went to see Dr. Hare to help address Vertigo and after a full assessment we worked on some minor misalignments as well. I had seen another Chiro previously who didn't seem to understand Vertigo nor really explained the adjustments he made so I really appreciated Dr. Hare fully explaining everything to me in generous detail. He's a great educator and very personable. I would recommend for sure, especially if you're a bit freaked out by having someone twist you about.

He decribed every single step, told me what to expect and how to contribute to it. Dr Jason Hare and all the staff are great people and create a very friendly atmosphere from the minute you walk through the door. I was completely blown away by how thorough my first examination was and loved the fact that he took X-rays before he would do any adjustments to my neck. I am in my 50's and have a physical job, play soccer, swim, workout and thanks to the great team at Pure Chiropractic I continue to enjoy doing all these things. The adjustments are great and keep me moving when I have an issue but the exercises and explanations that Jason also gives keeps me moving longer without the need for more sessions with him (working himself out of a job!). Jason has also treated my son when he was having back issues due to a soccer injury and he treats my mom who is in her late 70's for neck stiffness. Three generations of my family all with completely different chiropractic needs (and different personalities) and all of us love the staff and treatment we receive at Pure Chiropractic. Great office, great doctor. Equipment is all new and kept in very good condition. Genuinely interested in seeing you as healthy as you can be. X-ray machine offers a unique and intimate view of your spine, which many offices don't offer. Have recommended this office to several people.
