I have visited Chiroprators for more than 30 years, and was beginning to lose hope following my recent adjustments. Dr. Barry has a canny scanner for getting to grips with what ails. Each session - 3 to date - has produced results beyond my expectations. Recently I visited two chiros in other countries and I did not feel in any way better after the experience. I would recommend Dr. Whyte to anyone who may feel that their circumstances are beyond help. In all I feel happier and now have a spring in my step rather than constant pain or numbness... On Friday night, I felt like my hip popped out. I could barely walk, it was extremely uncomfortable. Saturday morning, I phoned several Chiropractors, however, they were all booked for that day as expected. Dr Whyte was also fully booked however, he made the effort to stay late and help me out. From the moment I walked into the office I started feeling relief, the office felt clean comfortable and relaxing, like walking into a spa; his staff were very caring. I described my hip pain to Dr Whyte and he proceeded to examine my spine. He inquired whether I also had soreness in my right neck, shoulder, and lower back, to which I answered yes (they had been sore for quite sometime due to my career). He explained that spinal misalignment was causing the chronic discomfort. I never had a Chiropractor alignment and Dr Whyte is a big guy and in very good shape; I thought to myself “this is going to hurt”. Thankfully, I was wrong. When he started working on me, it was like a popcorn machine was going off in there. He started at my lower back worked his way up to my neck, then my shoulder and chest, down to my legs and ankles. Every joint he popped felt immediate relief...It was amazing and I left there feeling like I was 30 again. Although the pain in my hip was still present, it was not nearly as pronounced. The following morning I woke up and the pain was completely gone from everywhere...I couldn’t believe it. I would highly recommend Dr Whyte.

Dr Whyte is excellent. I've had a lot of interaction with chiropractors in Nanaimo and elsewhere over the years and its hard to find someone who will adapt their treatment to your current needs and situation. Dr Whyte is easy to talk to, listens well and is very skilled. Highly recommended.

The reviews seem too good to be true, but Dr. Barry is the best out there! Came in last year because I was holding extreme stress in my shoulders causing a lot of pain and a constant migraine. I woke up the next morning and all the pain and migraine was gone, felt like a new person :). I have been to see him since and have nothing but good things to say. I do wish they had been up front about their new patient costs! I guess I didn't ask but I was a bit shocked at the end my first visit. But totally reasonable considering the results.

I found Atlas when I was shopping around for a new pair of prescription orthotics, and was intrigued when my coworker mentioned that at Atlas they are now using a 3D scanner as a part of the orthotic prescription process. I have had multiple pairs of orthotics, but this was the best experience I have ever had. They showed me the results of my scan and discussed the results of my physical assessment with me. I really felt like they cared about me and my needs. My new orthotics are great, and I will certainly be back.

I absolutely LOVE visiting this practice. Not only is Dr. Barry Whyte a back whisperer he's also extremely personable. He's always attentive, successful with thorough adjustments and great conversation. His front desk team are also very kind, knowledgable and welcoming. You can definitely sense the passion in what he does!!! I've had to visit a number of different chiropractors, physio, massage therapy well living on the mainland and found myself making a trip over just to see Dr. Whyte!!! If you want to leave with a spring in your step, a sense of peace and a smile on your face this is the place to go:)

I hurt my back by doing a repetitive movement the wrong way, was in a tremendous amount of pain. I could almost not get out of bed and couldn't sit for extended periods of time. I hadn't been to a Chiropractor before, so I was nervous and a bit fearful of the treatment process. I was having trouble with my hip and having a hard time walking. It was gradually getting worse, plus my right foot was turning outward. I took a chance and went to see Barry before a GP. Turned out I had 2 lower vertebrae out. Barry was able to fix it pretty quick and after 3 or 4 visits I am now walking fine, my hip doesn't hurt anymore and my foot has realigned. Even if your back isn't sore, but you have problems with your shoulders, hips, knees, go see Barry first. He does magic!

I have been going to other chiropractors for years with blah results. After a few treatments, with Dr Whyte I feel better than I have in a long time. On my first visit every step I took sent pain to my back and hip, after one session the relief was amazing. My husband told me I look straight again.. The staff is very nice and kind.
